Had taken my daughter in here to look for a dress for her 1st dance. While I watched others get greeted and waited on my daughter and i got ignored. I was not dressed up that day seeing as how i always work (Manager) 5 days straight 11hours each day so my weekends are my down time. I could have bought several dresses that day if i wanted and paid cash. No one took a second look at us. Judge too quickly and no customer service. We did try a 2nd time the next year and got pushed aside yet again and i was dressed up a little better that day. we went to the mall and found a perfect dress. We will not return. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! STAY AWAY AT ALL COST. I came here to do a fitting for a wedding dress and the young lady that identified herself as the manager was extremely rude and distasteful. my mother made reservations weeks in advance and at no point were we told that you could not bring children. When we arrived to the store, the girl tells us that we can not bring in children and that we could leave them at the front of the store while I tried on dresses in the "bridal section". Seriously? Sorry but I am not leaving my child out front (who is 2 yrs old) while my bridal party- (who BTW came with me to look at dresses- total 7 people) and I look at wedding gowns and bridal dresses. I flew in from Los Angeles specifically to do wedding dress shopping with my 82 year old grandmother and my mother- who both were with me. The managers reaction to this was "sorry, but I can't help you. Kids are not allowed". It ended up being a blessing because I went over to PROPOSALS in Little Rock and had fantastic service. They placed my family and bridal party to in a private room and gave us the royal treatment - Erica was the lady that helped us. I purchased a dress and spent well over $1000.00. We plan to return to get the Mom's Dresses and Maid of Honor dress in a couple of months. But if you can- AVOID First Impressions because my first impression of this place was HORRIBLE. read more

I needed a dress for a wedding so my friend and I went in. The owner( she said so anyway) and a young worker were so offensive that we walked out without buying even though I found what I wanted. They were so rude that we were shaking by the time we got to the car. I would go naked before I ever walk back in there. Shameful!!! read more

A couple years ago, I brought my daughter to First Impressions for a homecoming dress, and the people were so haughty that we left without buying anything & vowed to never go back. But this year, for prom dress, we crossed our fingers n went back, and WOW did we get lucky. The young lady who helped us was incredibly sweet, helpful, knowledgable. I think her name was Keely?? Wavy blonde hair, slim, looked about 19-20. We wound up with the perfect dress, at a great price (it was on sale for $199). Clearly, we got lucky this time, BC some of the ladies seemed pretty snotty, so if you go there, see if you can get the same young lady to help you! read more

We had a terrible experience at First Impressions in Jacksonville when renting my son's tux for his senior prom. We ordered his tux six weeks before prom. It was promised 3-5 days prior to wear date, Saturday May 4th. Tux arrived on May 1st; however, the shoes did not arrive with it. We were told that they had come in early by mistake so they were shipped back, but they would re-order them and we would have them by Friday May 3rd and if for whatever reason they may not fit that they would overnight more and we would have them by noon on Saturday. The shoes that arrived on Friday were the wrong color, so we expected the correct one's by noon on Saturday. Well at noon Saturday, prom day, still no shoes and the staff of First Impressions was not able to offer any alternatives in securing my son shoes to go with his tux. I was told repeatedly sorry that they were having several issues with Jim's (the business they order from) this entire prom season and they cannot control when FedEx delivers. This is not my problem, I purchased from First Impressions, not Jim's. It is First Impressions responsibility to ensure that I have the complete package I purchased. At almost 2pm his shoes finally arrived. We had an event prior to prom that was missed because we were stammering around trying to make sure my son had shoes to go with his tux. They told me that the owner, Lily, would be in on Monday and I could speak with her. Monday when I returned the tux, I did speak with Lily who repeatedly stated that it was my fault because I sent my son alone on Friday to pick up a pair of shoes. My 17-year-old senior who is fully capable of picking up HIS own pair of shoes. However, Lily also stated that when my son told her the shoes were the wrong color they checked his order slip and seen that they (First Impressions) had re-ordered the wrong color to be delivered Friday. She stated repeatedly that this was not her problem and she does not understand why I am so mad over a pair of shoes. She does not feel that her business is responsible for finding an alternate option when they fail to provide a service that was paid in full 6 weeks ahead of time. We missed our first event of the day because of her lack of business professionalism and she repeatedly told me that is not her business' fault; however, it is. It is not my fault for any reason. I placed my order and paid the associated charges in full. It is her fault that she failed to secure what I had paid for! She asked me what I expected her to do about it. I fully expected to receive a sincere apology, not a finger pointing encounter, and at minimum a 50% refund as I did not receive what I paid for when it was promised. I was told, "so you want me to pay for your missed engagement?". No, I did not get a full wear day, through no fault of my own, therefore I don't think it fair to pay a full day's wear. I was told again, I don't know why you are so mad, I am not going to pay for your missed engagement, and then I was offered a refund for the shoes only. Very poor business practices and etiquette. I understand that there are hiccups in every business but to not have alternate in place, to blame the customer for your poor practices, and to not take responsibility for failure to supply what was paid for when it was promised is absurd. This is for an online purchase. Extremely happy with my purchase. Purchased a Sherri Hill (Prom 2016) dress that is out of stock locally (Michigan). Was able to locate one through there store website - Quick Delivery item. Came quickly (5days) and in mint condition. When I had a question regarding purchase, they immediately answered the question the same day via phone call. Highly recommend and look forward to purchasing from them again.
