Ms. Debbi, Ms. Michelle, Ms. Christina, and Ms. Leanna (and the rest of the staff/teachers) are wonderful. Our son loved going to school every day, and he always - without fail- had a huge smile on his face when we picked him up at the end of the day. It was so clear that he was loved, nurtured, and encouraged when he was there. Ms. Debbi and her team were very responsive, and used the Brightwheel app to community with us and document his day (naps, meals, activities, pictures). They also got to know our son very quickly - his likes, dislikes; his temperament and nature; what food he likes the best; and how to get the best nap out of him (to name a few). There was never any hesitation or concern about the care he received. His teachers loved him as if he was their own. Aside from the amazingness of the school, Ms. Sheri (the owner) is a pillar of the community and is involved in so many events, as well as Whole Spectrum Austim. We toured about seven different daycares when our daughter was a newborn, and this one immediately stood out as the most genuine, cozy, and nurturing. We started when she was five months old and instantly felt welcomed and confident that she was receiving exceptional care - esp Ms Sue, Babusya, Ms Lucy, Ms. Lori, etc!!! The teachers are incredibly attentive and truly invested in the kids. Their communication with parents is excellent -- we always feel informed, supported, and part of our daughter's day-to-day experience. The Procare app is used and extremely accurate with pictures as well! On top of all of that, the price is by far the most reasonable we found, especially considering the level of care and personal attention the children receive. They offered us the ability to stay with our son for a while so he could get acclimated to the new environment. Where do I start...My child started TLE river vale in September 2023. After rave reviews from…read morefriends whose children attend at other locations, we hoped to have the same experience. Upon our tour we were sold on nutritious meals, small intimate classrooms, clean environment, and caring staff. We were extremely misled by TLE. The first few months put our minds at ease with the access of the TLE app. This told a story of our child thriving, eating every meal and participating in activities. We came to find out the app was extremely inaccurate. Upon speaking with the teachers we were told our child wasn't eating at all after we've been lied to for months about our child's eating via the app. Not only was this extremely irresponsible of TLE but this was also neglectful to not tell us that he was going days without eating and posting photos "to show face". My child started with 12 children in the class in September. Currently the class has 16-18 children which is extremely unsafe! It is impossible for a class that size to be properly cared for with the number of teachers provided. When it comes to a clean environment TLE is NOT the place. There have been multiple instances at pick up where these is a mess of food left on the tables from earlier lunch. While I know kids are messy, my child would come back from school filthy which I'm sure contributed to the amount of urgent care and sick visits monthly. The teachers were very nice I felt bad they were dealing with limited resources and staff. Which makes the teacher turnaround at this center believable. Overall There were many occasions where my child was dropped off later in the day and I've seen teachers sitting at the children's table while the kids played on the other side of the room. I am extremely disappointed in this center and how they've handled situations with our family. The lack of receptiveness to our feedback in the past shows the lack of care for anything other than making money off packing these classrooms with kids. Do your research on these chain daycares before enrolling. I certainly will moving forward.

The back-end administration of ABC might not be the smoothest or most modern, but they are good at what is truly most important. Our son is thriving at ABC and is given great and loving care throughout. Since we started, communication has been great and the teachers are very involved in reaching milestones and creating a stimulating environment for the kids. Our son always smiles when he sees the teachers and is just the happiest little guy which ABC is definitely to be thankful for. I'm hoping other people can see through the potential 'weird' first impression vibes because they absolutely deserve to get credit for all they do!

As soon we could pull him and transfer him to another daycare, we did - and he had but one week left at ABC. I'm sad to say that the level of care provided since we annouced our departure during that week has deteriorated even further. He came home dirty, with other kids' clothes, and just now we had received an awful photo showing a substantial bruise on his head. We picked him up right away and we'll never be going back. Avoid this place if you can, as they are unprofessional, with sub-par standards, do not adhere to their own policies - and I would generally say that in my view they only care about (i) the money, and (ii) putting up a reasonable appearance to get you through the door. Avoid at all costs.

The teachers are fabulous, very caring and loving. The Director is fantastic (two of her kids also go to POA at that location) and runs a well organized school. I was torn between doing the nanny thing or daycare and this school has set the bar very high. My little one eats better and naps better at school than at home. The experience has been wonderful. I have no complaints at all about this place. I'm sorry to see the negative review below. My daughter is thriving.. eating well and is an early walker, very social, very happy all the time. The 1st issue was extremely poor communication. The teachers in the youngest group didn't speak English and it was difficult to communicate without a translator. Small babies can't communicate their own needs, so a parent should be able to. When I brought this up with management, they said the lead teacher did speak English - yeah, maybe 10 words. The poor communication goes beyond language. At the start I explained I was a young widow, my husband passed a few months prior, and expected them to communicate this to the teachers so they could be sensitive. It was obvious this did not happen. None the less, the teachers were kind and caring, so I stayed. But the disappointment continued. My daughter came home with BLEACH stains on her clothing on THREE separate occasions. I brought this up to management and was assured it would be addressed, it was not. I understand the need to use bleach to clean, but small children should not be around toxic chemicals! Clean when they are not around! This was troubling as my daughter is a thumb sucker and could have got bleach in her mouth. The 1st summer I sent her to school in sandals the whole summer with no issue. The children have to keep their shoes on all day, including nap time. My daughter came home with sweaty and smelly feet. When summer came, I knew it would be uncomfortable for her to be in closed toes shoes all day. I made sure to get sturdy sandals with a thick bottom and adequate edging to protect her feet. Mid-summer, the sandals were suddenly a liability issue (but bleach isn't?!). They are so hyper focused on rules, they've lost the warm human touch they once had. I got a call from the office manager, I explained my concerns and told her that if shoes could be removed during nap time, I would send her in closed shoes. She said she would look into it and let me know. Then Sandy herself called me. I found her to be extremely rude from the gecko. She spoke over me and had no empathy for the concerns I was expressing. It was clear that she wasn't interested in the human perspective, this is just a business to her. At this point I felt frustrated and unheard. I finally made the decision to remove my daughter and emailed them she would not be returning after the year end. I received no response, they didn't seem to care. On the last day the teacher gave my daughter a lovely goodbye package, it was nice to finally see some care from someone there. I emailed about my security deposit and got no response. A week or so later, I emailed again. Today Sandy called me and once again tried to bulldoze her way through the conversation. The financial agreement says we have to give 45 day notice. (Standard notice for a job is less than that, are you kidding me?) I explained that I didn't have 45 days because the school year ended. Had I come to this decision during the year, I would have obliged but what was I supposed to do? Again, she spoke over me and had zero empathy, she really did not care about my situation. This time I spoke to her the way she spoke to me, which is uncharacteristic of me, but I was tired of the bullying. They expect parents to keep to the 45 day notice when they don't keep to their end of the deal - ex since the pandemic, they're only open until 6 (apparently you can only catch COVID19 between 6 and 6:30pm), among other things. So, I am leaving with a bitter taste, my experience at Sandy's was disappointing from the start, and I wish I had left earlier instead of trying to give them more chances. I've never been one to write reviews online, but I felt like I had to this time. Ps. Due to character limit I could only share some of the many issues.

We absolutely love it there, and so does our daughter. The teachers are wonderful, evidenced by the almost zero turnover I've seen since we started. The Tadpoles app is a great way to communicate, and you know what they're eating/drinking, when they have diaper changes or use the toilet, when they nap and for how long, and receive photos and videos throughout the day. In addition to the daily Tadpoles updates, there is also the opportunity to sign up for phone calls with the teachers, email teachers directly, and there is a monthly meeting over zoom (recorded and sent with presentation deck after as well) to keep you updated on everything happening. They also make it easy to connect with fellow parents by sharing parent contact info, having designated WhatsApp threads for each classroom, and hosting social events (including adults-only events). I have also been impressed with the curriculum and amazing programs. This year, my daughter had music class, Spanish class, soccer lessons, and yoga lessons! She absolutely loves doing her yoga moves at home and telling me the Spanish words she knows! What I find most helpful though is the guidance and support on when and how to hit certain milestones, including support on starting solid foods, when to switch from bottle to sippy cup, when to switch from sippy cup to open cup, etc. Right now, my daughter is in the beginning stages of potty training, and her excitement for the process started because of the encouragement happening at school. We're so glad we chose Sunshine Lexington!

He was introduced to a wide variety of subjects like - art, music, soccer, chess, crafts, phonetics, reading, writing, technology, yoga, exercise, dance, social study... They have an excellent schedule for summer and equally engaging curriculum for winters. My son comes back home talking about concepts he has learnt in school and looks happy on most days. He has always been ahead of the curve in doing things by himself, reading, writing... He also got through the G&T exams based on what he learnt at Sunshine. The principal, teachers and staff are professional, kind and really hard working - they teach kids to be independent, self reliant and confident. The center itself is very clean, hygienic and feels brand new (for the last 4 years). My only complaint was quick transitions from one class to another which brought in instability when my son was young. But it settled down when he turned 3. There was a high turnover rate in the initial few months but we have been seeing same teachers for the last 2 years and that makes us and our son very happy. WE HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH SUNSHINE AND EXTREMELY SAD TO MOVE ON.
