What you see from their entrance...

I went there for the first time this week for acupuncture. First, I barely didn't make it to the doors... The parking is in a deplorable shape, with gravel and potholes, and NOT ADA compliant and not wheelchair friendly. The entrance doors, as well as the entire building, are NOT ADA compliant and are NOT wheelchair accessible. For a rehab center, you would think that it would be... Moreover, the building is old and falling apart, it smelled weird (mold?) inside, is dirty, small, no space or privacy for the patients, acupuncturist even didn't wear gloves to handle the needles and made me bleed. I am wondering when was the last fire safety inspection, because this building should be condemned and rebuilt to today's standards! Not sure who owns this business and this building, but they are waiting for a tragedy in there and a big law suit. Finally, the acupuncturist was hard to understand (Chinese guy), never really answered my questions, never heard of my medical conditions, seemed clueless about what to do with me, and I left with more pain than when I arrived (2 days later, my back still hurts more than before I went there). Definitively not recommending this facility.

I was mortified to ask my OBGYN for a referral to PT and had done so 3 years ago, but that failed bc the PT then was only open weekdays when I had to go to an intense job and since I switched insurance, that PT wanted a new referral from a new doctor. Fast forward to a stable job with great insurance, and I felt brave enough to ask my OBGYN for a referral for my hypertonic pelvic floor dsyfunction. Normally, I would not announce this on the internet but I was always told kegels, kegels, kegels to fix my pelvic issues. And to my surprise, NOPPPPEEE. I needed to learn to relax and then strengthen. I'm writing this in case anyone else is looking for issues with this problem and wants to find real relief and help. Thanks to JACO's scheduling team, scheduling appts via phone call or text was a breeze. And my PT Abby taught me so much in the six months I had with her. While I'm a work in progress, I gained so much confidence and awareness in learning more about certain muscles that the doctor's office and youtube never could have helped me with. Abby was kind, patient, and really listened in each session to help me figure out next steps. And I was so grateful to be able to see her on Saturdays.

We appreciate the expertise of all of the rehab staff who helped him thrive, especially when he was set back by his hospitalization. The hospital doctors said he wouldn't be able to swallow again so they inserted a feeding tube, but you folks proved them wrong by using innovative treatments that I have never seen any other nursing home use! He has also learned how to adapt for when his Parkinson's disease progresses and his mobility changes. The nurses and CNAs were very knowlegable and flexible as his care changed day to day. He enjoyed the activities in which he participated and was especially grateful for the Catholic Mass. We are also thankful my mom was able to participate when he visited him. Mahalo to the housekeeping and maintenance staff, as well, for helping to fix his bed when the legs wouldn't elevate and for keeping my room clean and homelike. And lastly, the food was delicious! The variety was fantastic. Thank you for accommodating his request for poi every day. The level of involvement by the administrative staff was first class, proving that this facility truly cares about each individual person.

In the beginning she didn't get the care she was recommended with staff telling my cousin it was because they were understaffed. It got better but that disturbed me. We brought lunch which my aunt enjoyed tremendously. Apparently the food is bland and tasteless because they must serve healthy food. What we don't like: It is very noisy there which makes conversations difficult with older people. There is the car wash across the street with constant white noise, across the street is a 2 story commercial space and an alarm went off for nearly 1 hour! It was like torture at Guantanamo. They also play music over the loudspeakers in this patio where visitors and residents hang out. A few brought out their personal boom boxes and played music loudly. All I'm saying is hearing comprehension and hearing in general is harder for older people. They often have weakened vocal chords too so shouting and repeating oneself for 1 hour is exhausting. If it wasn't for noise level I'd give it a 4 stars and recommended it warmly for family.
