But this experience we had with First Rate Insurance specifically the lady Tammy Arsenault shocked us. This lady was a sunshine when she sold us the insurance and anytime she talked to us with a further sales potential. She got us foremost insurance assuring as that its the best. Recently, we had a major leak issue that affected multiple rooms. The insurance came with peanuts in their estimate and we hit a deadwall. Everywhere we talked to and discussion forums suggested to get your insurance agent(person who sold you the insurance) help you. We tried to talk to Tammy and she was COLD. Forget about helping us out, she didn't even give us any ideas to help us out of our situation. We WOULD NOT RECOMMEND these guys and the Foremost insurance at all. read more

I signed up with 1st rate insurance in late March when I bought a new car. Since then, Clint Boren has been an absolute pleasure to work with and everyone else at 1st rate has been fantastic to me both in customer service and in turnaround times. Clint found me a great deal with Safeco insurance. When I was in an accident a few weeks ago I was initially assigned a Safeco representative who was accusatory and hostile toward me from the get-go. Clint regularly calls me just to check in and see if I need anything, and when he called last time I let him know about my experience with the Safeco representative. Within hours he had called her supervisor, had her taken off of my claim, assigned me a new claims adjuster, and called me back to apologize for my terrible experience. The new adjuster has been polite and professional since we first spoke. I also emailed Clint a couple weeks ago to add personal injury protection to my plan. He forwarded my request and it was added within an hour. After working with Geico for years in a row, this is a completely foreign and fantastic experience for me. Instead of waiting on the phone for hours just to speak to a human being, my personal representative calls me regularly to see if I need anything. I'm not planning on going anywhere else anytime soon. I sincerely believe 1st rate insurance has my best interest in mind and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a better experience with their insurance company. read more

Who needs Geico, really.... I saved a bunch of money by switching to these guys! I had been with a large insurance company who I will not name, but Flo is their spokesmodel and when I bought my new car in 2007, I found out that my insurance was going to go up $100 a month for the one car, but since I had to keep my old car insured as well til I sold it, it was going to $275 a month for both cars (I had been paying $115/mo before). I freaked out and started calling around. When I called my agent Jack Greene, he was able to find me a policy with everything I needed (plus a little better in some places) for $95/mo for the one car and another $50/mo for the second while I had it. When I did the figure out the math, I was saving over $1000/year! Since then, Jack has been great about keeping me up to date on my policy and finding better alternatives if they are available when I'm up for renewal. I would definitely check them out if you're looking for new insurance! read more

First Rate insurance agent, Clint, helped me look at my options for insurance plans and how I could get a better deal than I was currently on. He was able to get back to me quickly with a plan that would cut my insurance in half each month, immediately saving me $1200/year. If that wasn't good enough, he talked me through the plan, explained all the components of it and made sure it was the same coverage I had with my previous provider. he answered all of my questions clearly and honestly. I really felt that I could trust him to do what was best for my needs. Clint then assisted with the immediate cancellation of my previous plan and activation of the new plan. He was helpful, kind, smart and efficient. He even sent a follow up email to make sure everything had arrived at my house on time and made sure I knew he was available for any other questions I might have. I have been recommended First Rate Insurance to all my co-workers and friends because of the great customer service and amazing results Clint was able to help me with. Update on 12/10. Marcella gave me a call today with good quotes of the new policy from other vendors. I appreciate the detailed walk-through of the new policy and it lowers my premium quite a lot. They show great attitude to fix the customer issue and I am satisfied with the service. Update this review to reflect the latest status. ==================================== Their service was good in the first year but really bad after that. My policy needed to renew in November, I sent a mail to them asking for helping to check the market to see if there's any other better option. They simply just ignore my message and did not do anything on it. When I realized the auto renew happened, I asked them again as I see my house premium was increased though the car premium was down. I asked for suggestion in this situation and I am not sure if there is any other better option. I got the reply saying "Your premium went down, I don't know what you are looking for." This is NOT the service I expected. First of all, you did not do anything for me to check the options before renew, then reply me like without any apologize. I am really confused what kind of service you are providing. Strongly suggest NOT use this agency. For those people gave 5 stars, I would suggest you revisit it after one or two years. read more

I have made 3 different attempts (3 emails, one call) over 3 months to try and update my account and they haven't done it. All my emails were completely ignored. I found a salesperson I was comfortable with, now I have to talk with an aggressive insurance agent? This was not the case at all with First Rate. I used to be skeptical of going through a broker rather than doing the research myself. After working with Jack Greene for almost a year, I'm glad that I decided to work with him. He is quick to respond to any of my questions, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile. I was recently rear ended and had submitted a claim through my insurance. A couple of weeks later I was surprised to see an email from Jack inquiring on how things were going with my claim. I informed Jack of my unfortunate circumstance that the car shop had finished work on my car 4 days earlier than estimated. I was away on vacation and was not able to return the car rental car until the date originally planned and had to pay out of pocket. I didn't expect anything, however Jack took it upon himself to reach out to the car shop as well as my insurance company, ultimately getting me reimbursed for $200. Jack handled the situation as if it were him who was in my shoes. Jack has my complete trust that he has my best interest and will get me the best rate available. I purchased an Auto Insurance policy through First Rate Insurance and my agent was Jack Green. Jack is 5 stars all the way. He is informative, knowledgeable, and his customer services is top notch. In July 2013 I had a serious accident and I was worried that my leased vehicle might not be covered fully. Jack and I had discussed adding a rider (called Gap Coverage) when I initiated insurance. He told me the ins and outs and I decided to get it. Turned out that Jack saved me $3K when my car was totaled in an accident. Post accident Jack was a fantastic support. He help me to get the better deal on home and cars insurance which immediately save me $800 a year. He explained and walked me through my plan.
