I had a billing issue that was eventually resolved amicably. The other thing was that I met a friend and his wife in the waiting room. We soon realized his wife and I both had 8:00 appointments with Dr. P. She was called in at 8AM. I was called in at 8:20. One assistant denied that a double booking had occurred. She waved a USB cable at me and said I was called in late because of an "equipment shortage". When I checked out a front desk rep also denied a double booking until I gave her the name of the other 8:00 patient. She belatedly fessed up to the double booking. The ironic thing was that when I left the previous appointment (where there was no waiting) the front desk sold me on the 8:00 time for the next appointment on the premise that there would be no waiting. A good place for dental care but take something to read when you go.

They do not take insurance but will bill your insurance so that they pay you back BUT most times out of network dentists (which Aspen is) only get about 30%, instead of 50-80% for an in-network dentist, re-imbursed. All in all, this is totally a for profit business not a medical office, and they don't really care about their patients' health just the bank book at the end of the day.

I felt so powerless, in pain, stuck in this chair with a man who had absolutely no respect for who I was. When I was brought to tears and asked him to please stop berating me, his response was, "well you know I'm not doing it on purpose" He then started to lecture me on how tough us women were since we gave birth to babies and I should be able to handle anything. To top everything off, he broke my tooth in half and I was left with, "Well, I can't do anything about it now, you will have to go find a surgeon" He told me he couldn't prescribe pain pills so I was told to take tylenol for the pain.
