I did the lectures and quizzes online and showed up in the office for the hands on portion. This was very convenient as I was able to read and rewatch videos at my own pace. This is a very laid-back, low pressure environment in which to get (re-)certified first aid, CPR, AED, and much more. Tyler has many years of experience as an instructor and it shows. He is also very personable, ensures you have the knowledge and confidence to respond, and is extremely accommodating and flexible as far as scheduling is concerned. Best of all, he hits you with plenty of reminders and helpful logistical information before your scheduled session. I chose the blended HeartSaver course (aimed towards individuals with no medical background or job need for Basic Life Support) which requires several hours of online training modules. The content is thorough and well-developed by the American Heart Association. If you're going this route, PLEASE take the time and learn the knowledge thoroughly. It will certainly help you during your in-person skills session, but more importantly, this knowledge is crucial to commit to memory - you never know when you will need it when an emergency arises. Your loved ones, as well as anyone you encounter, will benefit from you becoming and maintaining skills as a trained first aid / CPR responder. At first I was a little worried that I have to read and have exam online. My class got cancelled due to not enough student. Tyler suggest I could have a hybrid session instead. It turns out that the online portion is easy to understand. Videos demonstrate clearly on how to perform BLS/CPR. Classroom is a little hard to find. That's probably to only cons. A stuff here who help me with hand on experience is very friendly and helpful. They really want you to be able to perform effective CPR. read more

Highly highly HIGHLY recommend this place for people looking to recertify not only for BLS, but for First Aid, CPR, and AED. I needed to recertify for First Aid, CPR, and AED because of a job, and signed up extremely last minute (as in, I booked my appointment at 6am and the class was at 7pm that same day). I called Tyler, the instructor, to confirm that I would be able to attend (since I signed up so late) and ask a few questions, and he was extremely helpful and accommodating. He returned my call right away and provided me with the link to complete the online portion of the AHA Heartsaver course before I came in, and confirmed/sent me a reminder through both text and email for the time and location of the training. The location might be a little hard to find (it's on the second floor of the building) but other than that, the hands-on skill check went smoothly. Tyler is extremely knowledgeable on the topic and happy to answer any questions anyone had. He has a lot of applicable real-life knowledge to share and works to make sure everyone is confident in their ability to perform the skills required for the hands-on skills check. The CPR training mannequin at this site also has lights to indicate if you're pushing deep enough/fast enough, which is really useful! It's super easy to sign up for training on their website, there's quick response time if you have any questions, Tyler is a personable and knowledgable instructor, and I got my AHA card through email the next day!
