The patio has been around for 30+ years. I remember going here as a little girl and getting a milkshake. They used to also have this ice cream flavor called "crazy vanilla." A group of six of us looked forward to brunch at The Patio. The menu had great choices and the food was exceptional That said - the manager had no customer service whatsoever. When two members of our party were delayed by 10 minutes, he had the nerve to repeatedly tell us to leave!! We could understand if they had a policy to only seat complete parties - but this didn't happen. He glared at us throughout our meal, and the wait staff were robotic, forgetting to leave straws and showing annoyance when it was brought to their attention that they had delivered the wrong sandwich. Of all the places I've eaten, I can certainly say that this was one of them. We went here like maybe 7 years ago and it was subpar, but we thought we'd give it a try to see if things have improved. They haven't. The service is inconsistent: they brought out 3 of the 4 mains at the same time, and the fourth came out maybe 5-10 minutes later. The food is weird: who serves pasta sauce for kids that's spicy? I will say that the burger I got was passable, so maybe stick to easy things like that. My daughter and I just had a date there and she loved it. Although it wasnt dinner and on menu,they were nice enough to make her waffle with nutella and strawberries. I live in Briarcliff Manor and have recently started to eat here with greater frequency. I am surprised at their overall low rating. They make the best bacon/egg/cheese on a roll I've had in years. Their sandwiches and paninis are first rate. It's very good diner-style food. The service is speedy and the servers are attentive. The decor is a bit sparse but the place is clean and comfortable. The bathroom could use an overhaul but that's my only complaint about the place. I'm going to continue to make it my local diner-ish spot. read more

We were there twice. Service was slow and food so so. We today tried them again. Ordered tuna melt and it arrived cold and cheese barely melted. They offered to re heat. Who wants re heated food??? They charged us for the French fries which we had one or 2. The manager should have come to the table and been apologetic and there should have been no charge. Stopped in here craving breakfast. From the moment I walked in, a man behind the counter gave me a very unsettling look from top to bottom. I ignored it and asked to use the restroom and then to be seated outside. After being seated with my menu ... NO One came out to take my order (There was a table of 4 people inside. The rest of the restaurant was completely empty.) After waiting for some time, I walked in and mentioned that I guess I was forgotten outside. There was no apology or any gesture that suggested he cared. He laughed and I left. So disappointed in unexplainable poor service like that. I ended up going to a Taco place just down the street that gave me excellent food and service. We were looking for a place to go for lunch. We used to frequent The Patio pre covid, honestly not sure why we haven't been back till now. I guess I didn't picture that they had increased their outdoor seating area. We actually have relaxed a bit and since we are fully vaccinated ate inside anyways. My husband ordered Italian combo sandwich and I got a quiche and a salad. Food was delivered in a timely fashion, hot and delicious! Inside the seating is well spaced out, they had remodeled since we had been there so it was clean and welcoming. Prices here are still reasonable compared to the uptick in other local comparable. Stopped here for lunch on the way back from Peekskill on a work project. From the outside it appears to be a quaint restaurant. Quaint ends when you walk inside. A little disappointing on the inside. Seems more like a luncheonette than a restaurant. I ordered the "Pesto Panini ", with a side of fries. Service seemed a little slow for me, but when the food finally came it was pretty good. When I asked for the check, also seemed a little long in coming. There are many restaurants in the Briarcliff Manor area so next time in the area I'll try another one. read more

Always fresh food and consistently terrific - and we have been coming regularly over the last 18 yrs. One of our favorite breakfast spots even though it is a 20 minute ride from home. The pancakes are thin, light and delicious. Melt-in-your-mouth ultimate kind of pancakes. Omelettes filled with fresh veggies and outstanding home fries are among our favorite dishes. After being given menus we sat and needed to ask for someone to take our orders. It took ten minutes for them to bring out waters and coffee. It took twenty five minutes to bring out our order (mostly breakfast items). They forgot my infants meal. I needed to go inside and ask our waiter where our food was twice. The Patio is a staple in our community. We took our kids there for burgers and ice cream and had countless breakfasts, lunches and dinners there over the years. We knew every waiter by name and we were always greeted like family. Despite a few menu updates and an interior facelift, The Patio remains unchanged - still delicious food and friendly service. The added outdoor seating was a necessity during Covid, and we can now all enjoy having a great meal under the umbrellas. A recent trip there found the place bustling and I was so happy to see it! I'm always happy to have breakfast or lunch at the The Patio when I'm visiting my in-laws in Briarcliff Manor. There's nothing special about The Patio, and that's fine. The Patio is basically a diner. The decor could use some updating, but the service is always excellent, and I've never had a meal here I didn't enjoy. They make a decent gyro, with the lettuce, tomato and onion finely chopped, making the sandwich easy to manage. I believe they also dice up some cucumber in it. Whatever the case, it's one of the sandwiches I recommend. I also like the buffalo chicken wrap. Fries are always served hot, salty and crispy. Breakfast is fairly standard, but always reliable, though I typically go right into the lunch menu no matter how early I come to the Patio. I wish there were choices in the area, but even if there were, I'm pretty sure my in-laws would only want to come here. For a decade we used to only go to Orfino's down the street before my in-laws finally had enough of that place and switched us over to The Patio. If there's one thing I can recommend the next time you visit The Patio, it's ordering a scoop of the Moose Tracks ice cream on the way out. Eat it outside on the cute little bench by the outdoor tables. It's a great way to end any meal there with a big smile on your face. read more

Glad the patio is still sorting hard during covid. There's a mix of indoor and outdoor seating with pickup. I'm still getting all my food a before and with the same quality. The pro: friendly staff and consistent food quality makes this a comfort food go to spot. They're very covid conscious and respectful of people's health during this tough time.
