My husband and I love to come here! We always come early in the morning because it does get crowded! That's how good it is. The waiters are fast to seat you, everything on the menu is made fresh and tastes amazing, and the food comes out so fast! Every time we have people visiting we always take them here! We especially love the seasonal menu! We love coming here and will continue to come!

Probably the best cafe in West Virginia. Incredible food, staff were so friendly. The food came out super fast. Relatively chill quiet environment for breakfast. Could not recommend this place more.

We were driving thru, stopped and had a bite to eat, Saturday noonish, very packed upon entering, waited about 20 minutes for a table, turn over seemed to be fairly quick, we had a lovely table by the window. Already knew what I wanted, read the menu while waiting, Million dollar bacon, Tri-Fecta, my cousin ordered Kale juice and BLT Eggs Benedict. We did not wait long, food was delicious, table in corner was a little cool as AC was blowing on us. But, everyone was attentive, menu was unique, and food was good, I ordered the chicken sausage, thin and delicious with blueberry pancake, eggs med., in which whites were still runny. My order came with bacon but, as soon as I got a hold of her she brought me the sausage.. the bacon was fabulous, could of been cooked a tad more for crispiness

First Watch is one of my favorite brunch spots around Charleston. The food is delicious and the service is fast and friendly. This would be great place to take the family or have a business lunch. The dining room is quite open while still having a farmhouse cozy vibe.

Bacado omelette and Eggs Benedict with Sockeye salmon.

Passing through Charleston and took extra time to hit a "special" place, at least according to Yelp. Place was busy but only waited 1-2 minutes to be seated. Food was fantastic and the coffee was on point. Our server Erin is a ROCKSTAR! If you are searching for great eats and are lucky enough to get Erin as your server, you'll walk away with a huge smile on your face! Thanks Erin and First Watch for making it a worthwhile detour!!

I was in the area for a wedding and needed a good breakfast. I came on the weekend and they have parking across the street for all patrons eating at the restaurant which is amazing. They don't have a waitlist which is pretty inconvenient for the number of people they seem to service in the morning. Thankfully I was in pretty early for I only had to wait about 25 minutes. We were seated at a very small table and it's very cramped inside. They pack people in there like sardines. I ordered the Farmhouse Hash with over easy eggs and a biscuit. It was pretty good and the jelly was homemade it seemed. I would say for the wait, the price, and seating to maybe go early.

Before heading off to the Criel Mound in South Charleston we stopped in to First Watch for breakfast. First of all parking is hard to find nearby, don't park out in front, it's a tow away zone. Park in the ramp which is attached where there are meters inside the ramp. We loved the look & feel of the space, so contemporary & stylish. We ordered the Ham & Gruyere melt & the AM Superfood Bowl ( Chia seed pudding with berries & almonds with almond butter toast ) & a side of Million dollar Bacon. Everything was absolutely fantastic, so good in fact we both rate this meal as possibly the best breakfast we have ever had! The million dollar bacon isn't cheap ( $ 5 49 ) but it's a must try! The prices are very reasonable too, ( 2 entrees, 1 side & 2 beverages ) for $ 36 11. We can't recommend First Watch strongly enough!

Great good, great service. Enjoyed everything I ordered. My wife also loved hers. I ordered Trifecta, waffle, eggs and sausage. She had lemon ricotta pancakes.

Service was ok at best, don't bring me my bill before I am done. Also, poached eggs are supposed have a runny yolk. Hollandaise should also have some flavor. When you leave most of your food on the plate a decent, not even good server will ask if there was a problem, not here, they ask if they can take your plate. read more

Easily my favorite breakfast place. I eat there just about every day before going to work. The menu options range from hardy to healthy, and there is something for just about everyone on the menu. The serve staff is very friendly and helpful. One word of warning: if you go on a Saturday or Sunday morning, expect to wait a little while for a table. The place stays packed on the weekends. read more

Delicious. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. Surprisingly impressed with our breakfast here. After a long wait, we felt that maybe the place had been overhyped. I ordered the fruit crepes and M got the veggie hash. Both were good. Not the best ever, but definitely better than a takeout breakfast from a fast food place (which seems to be the only other option in town). read more

Even though most of the stuff is canned or pre-packaged in some form, it is still pretty good. We haven't been back, though, ever since they changed their potatoes to a less appetizing kind. Their potatoes were the sole reason my wife loved to eat there. read more

I have been here a few times and have not been disappointed. I love the burrito Vera Cruz. They must put crack in the sauce. The Greek omelette is delicious, but I have started making it at home. A little pricey for Charleston, but the town needs more places like this. Service is hit-or-miss. read more

My chicken palermo was so good!!!! I would definitely get it again. They put just enough on there so it wasn't falling apart. Fresh juice was a plus. The only thing I would improve on would be the seating, it reminds me of cafeteria style (but that's being nit picky) the food was great and the service was fantastic. read more

I was up in Charleston for my daughters gymnastics competition. Stopped in here for breakfast as I read some good reviews. I had the egg bowl with potato's, avocado, onions and tomatoes. It was good but you can't really ask to take anything out. I also ordered pancakes - in which I didn't eat. The million dollar bacon was good!! read more

Havent been to a first watch since college. Came with my parents and ordered 3 different things. I'm not a fatty but I thought the portions were poor for the price paid. The flavor was nothing to write home about. Really pretty bland and not worth the cover charge. I would give it 2 stars but didn't want to b mean. read more

Stopped in for brunch on a Sunday as we were passing through town. Waited about 20 minutes at noontime; not bad. Felt a little underdressed compared to the usual crowd! Large menu with lots of variety. Gluten free menu available - always a plus. Bright, clean restaurant; fast and friendly service from our waitress Hannah. Food was quick, attractive, and delicious. Omelets were fluffy (my only complaint: the avocado in my Bacado was VERY hard), potatoes delicious. Toast and English muffins were yummy. Fresh fruit crepes were great. Tea was freshly brewed. In town visiting family for Christmas; decided to try this place out. DELICIOUS. I had the Chicken Palermo sandwich and clam chowder. The sandwich was a great combination of flavors and the clam chowder....best I've found outside of Boston. Husband had an omelet that he raved over as well. I will open with it gets crowded. It gets crowded because it is yummy. Brunch times on weekends are going to result in a short wait. It will be worth it. Other times of the week are no problem. I will confess to having only had breakfast type food, but my Octogenarian mother loves their salads. Portions are large and the coffee is terrific. Servers are pretty much the hipsters you would expect, but efficient & pleasant. read more

One of the better breakfast places in West Virginia. Overall very healthy food and a great selection of fresh ingredients. Atmosphere could be better very plain decorations. Nice portions. Free parking on the weekends in the lot across the street which is great in downtown Charleston. Also a very good lunch place but I suggest to call in an order and pick up. I love this place but hardly ever get over there. Had a stressful appointment downtown with my teenage daughter so took her there prior. The wait staff is always so kind, the meal was good, the atmosphere is nice and positive and helped our moods tremendously. Any place that can even make a 16 year old girl calm down and relax and enjoy a delicious breakfast is tops. read more

One bite in the burger and it was VERY obvious, it wasn't medium rare. In fact, I don't believe it could have more well done without being charred. It was sooo dry and the flavor was nonexistent. The fries were pretty good. When the server came to ask about everything, I told her that it was far from medium rare. She then said, "oh, I forgot about that". All in all it was probably the worst investment I've ever gotten with $16.

Good place for quick breakfast. They're always fast with the food and it's always delicious. However, the reason why I did not give it a 5 star - their hospitality could be a little better. The servers most of the time - don't make an effort to be hospitable - they just want to get you order and leave, most of the time after the food has been dropped off, they don't even check on your until they drop off the check. Once they drop off the check- you won't see your server again, unless you ask for them. Don't get me wrong they're friendly, they're not rude- I think a little hospitality would go a long way. read more

The ownership and management of this establishment are the scum of the earth. As opposed to leaving a note or towing a car parked in their owner's spot instead the egg the car and curse/verbally berated the car owner. This is highly unprofessional.
