Visiting WV for a dance competition. We decided to go to Noah's close to our hotel. We booked our reservations through Resy. The cool thing about the reservation process they include a comment section. We were greeted by the lovely Jerry who was our server for the evening as well. What my daughter didn't know is he already knew a lot about why we were in town via the comment section. He asked her so many questions and made her feel so special. It wasn't until I asked her how do you think Mr. Jerry knows so much about you? My daughter chose the Chicken Piccata. She loved the flavors and said the cream sauce was outstanding. I had the Halibut which was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. We finished the dinner with the best Lava Cake we've ever had. It was a wonderful dinner and experience. Wonderful restaurant! We made reservations on RESY for 8:30 but we arrived at 8:00. They offered for us to wait in the bar if we wanted but told us they would immediately seat us if we liked. The food was amazing! The pork belly lettuce wraps are to die for! After the first order we ordered two more, It's a must! We also enjoyed an order of Oysters Rockefeller. Main courses included Filet Mignon, and Salmon. Everything was cooked to perfection, wonderful flavors! The service was great. Our server was attentive and always knew what we needed before we knew we did. If you're in Charleston this should be where you get a nice dinner. read more

Loved the service. Very knowledgeable. Paced out our meal so it was very enjoyable. We ordered a few appetizers that were all very good, but the halibut and scallops were soo good. The scallops had an Asian flare that was different, but fun. The halibut was very flavorful. I was pleasantly pleased with our meal. I had to try Noah's out after reading the comment that he could easily be an exec chef in a big city and I'd agree. Our server was accommodating with gluten allergies and suggested the grilled salad as well as the halibut. Both were so tasty. read more

I've been waiting to try Noah's for probably 10 years. Finally got here. Waiter hated his job. That was certain. Food was weird. Black beans and overpowering onions on top of a fishy swordfish. I had 3 tiny scallops with 3 shrimp in marinara sauce with a deep fried polenta triangle and broccolini. Not good. Got dessert. Please don't. Save your money and go to Fazio's or DT Prime or Bricks and Barrels. read more

Had a very nice dinner, sitting at the bar. Saturday night with a lot of activity going on in Charleston, Noah's was very busy. The bartender did a great job keeping things moving and very responsive. People have pointed out that the menu is very short but I didn't see that as a negative as everything looked good. Best kept secret in Charleston. This is the only restaurant that I've found in the area that had paella AND strawberry shortcake for dessert. I gave 5 stars to Noah's Bistro back before he moved and would certainly keep that rating. Th food is excellent. I live in Washington DC and Noah could easily be executive chef at an upscale restaurant in a major city. Always a surprise when we visit if the dining room isn't at capacity. I've had everything from steak to scallops and the execution has always been excellent. The potatoes that come with the steak were so good, my brother in law ordered two extra sides of it to-go. My only negative experience was getting a cocktail before dinner at the bar. There was an actual fly floating in my manhattan. Kinda gross :-/ but I'm not naive, bugs are out there. But a bit more care by the bartender would have allowed him to easily spot and remake the drink. That notwithstanding, Noah's is an outing we try to work into every visit to Charleston. You won't be disappointed! read more

The menu had limited choices, but in my opinion that means they spend more time ensuring the choices for that evening are excellently prepared! Our table enjoyed the grilled salad, lamb shank and halibut that evening. Everyone was very pleased with their selections and the food flavors were amazing. Lamb was so tender it was falling off the bone. For dessert we had to try one of each offering and again we were not disappointed. My boss was coming to town and I was in charge of picking the restaurants. After reading all the reviews, I chose Noah's. The menu is limited. There were 3 choices of entrees. My boss chose the Chilean Sea Bass and it was like butter. It came with mashed potatoes which were very good. I had the beef filet and it was melt in your mouth tender. The potatoes were like scalloped potatoes and very good. For the appetizer we had the pork belly belt and chicken satay. Both were delicious. We shared the chocolate molten cake dessert with homemade ice cream and it was really good. If I suggested one thing, it would be to serve bread before or with a meal. The restaurant was nice and the service excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Longtime customer of Noah's, even when it was on McFarland Street when it was just Noah himself and Cheryl running the show. But I cannot speak more highly about how this restaurant has grown even further under the stewardship of bartender Kevin and sous chef Robert Digital. Their addition are the cherries and coffee been on top of Charleston's most fine and unique cocktail, the French-pressed Espresso Martini. It is a delicacy for your consumption that would be praised from Mumbai to Manhattan. He's humble and he's gracious, but don't be afraid to ask Kevin to change your life with his espresso martini. The only thing more refreshing and rewarding is the bond you'll have after visiting Noah's and his staff. Run, don't walk, and wear a mask! read more

The food was excellent... Just not enough of it! We had two miniature lettuce wraps as an appetizer. I would not have expected more rack of lamb chops, but it would've been great to have some more rice and broccoli. Perhaps bread would have served to fill us up. The chocolate lava cake was excellent but again not enough. The service was impeccable! In the end, I don't expect to leave with a doggy bag but I don't expect to leave hungry either. read more

Very happy for this place to be my first review on yelp. I was promptly greeted when I arrived by a very polite hostess that listened to my seating request. My martini was crafted exactly how I would expect and my waiter was very knowledgeable on liquors that the restaurant offers. I ordered the rack of lamb which was cooked to a perfect medium rare. First visit tonight. For appetizers I had the crab an corn chowder and my wife had the braised short rib "ravioli". It was actually wrapped in wonton wrappers with a mushroom-soy Demi. For dinner I had the beef Wellington and my wife had the shrimp and scallop over a Parmesan polenta cake and broccolini with prosciutto-sage tomato sauce. For dessert we split a chocolate lava cake. Every bite of every course was spectacular. Might be the best meal I've ever eaten in the Charleston, WV area. It really rivaled any meal I've ever had in an upscale restaurant. Excellent food. Great service. Ridiculously small portions. We're vegetarians so the chef made something special for us. Butternut squash soup. A smear of puréed potatoes with roasted vegetables on top. All of it was delicious however it was such a small amount of food that we stopped by a fast food place on the way home. We were starving. Excellent food. However the staff was not friendly at all. Bartender /server not timely at all. Had to ask for menus and silverware (unexpected for a high end restauarant. ). Getting drinks was like pulling teeth. We witnessed a nice couple sitting at the bar get turned away by saying "no food available for you " stating they only allow for the reservations clients. In fact this couple was told to go to other local dining establishments if they wanted food. Reminded us of the soup nazi from Seinfeld. Keep in mind the restauarant and bar was less than 25% occupied and they turned away a $100-120 tab for this party of 2. Do they not need nor want the business ? I will reiterate that the food was excellent but that is where the positive reviews end. The bartender changed the TV to the game he wanted to watch because he had money bet on it - seriously did not ask if other people were watching the current channel or minded if it was changed. Will likely not return primarily due to poor atmosphere and rude staff. read more

Came here with my family. 3 of us ordered different things and everything was amazing! The halibut was cooked to perfection, the beef filet was perfect, and the crab cakes were great and didn't have too much filler. Everything was paired perfectly with just the right sides. The pork belly lettuce wraps had a great flavor and the shrimp bruschetta was yummy. We finished the night with desert and the blackberry cake was an absolute favorite but all 3 tasted great. Don't waste your time or money on this place. The bartender is arrogant and will hardly acknowledge you unless your a local, friend or someone he thinks is important. Went there last night, waited about 8-10 mins before he waited on me and there were only four of us at the bar--not exactly a crowd. Then, at 7:30 pm on a gorgeous, warm Thursday night, he informed me the kitchen had closed 20 minutes earlier, so roughly around 7pm on a Thursday the kitchen was closed at an establishment that said it was open until 9pm. This place has amazing food, but the bartender is ruining it for many. We are 2/2 having great meals at Noah's, but we are 0/2 on our experience with the gentleman who bartends. Both times it was obvious he is drinking to excess on the job. The first visit we tried to get a drink and dessert at the bar. The bar was a wreck, dirty, unkempt we found the only clean seat at the empty bar and the bartender was so drunk he made us both the wrong drinks and forgot to put in our dessert order. 1 hour later the dessert came after we asked. Our most recent trip we observed the same bartender bringing food out from the kitchen and licking his finger while carrying a tray to the bar. I guess he spilled something on it, but that was gross. Subsequently he came out to sit with some of the patrons in the dining area across from us. He grabbed a chair from another table. He was clearly drunk, was loud, dropped the f- bomb a bunch, and was clearly irritating the other two servers who were acting very professional. It was obvious that other guests around us were taking notice too. Please, please do something about this. It's a 5 star option if they had a classy bartender. read more
