Biscuits and turkey sausage gravy with seasoned potatoes and eggs

The place was packed. We did call-ahead seating. We tried to order the pumpkin spice donut holes. They had run out the day before. They were out of the chicken sausage that comes with the pumpkin pancake meal. But it all worked out and we left satiated and happy.

My husband and I love to come here! We always come early in the morning because it does get crowded! That's how good it is. The waiters are fast to seat you, everything on the menu is made fresh and tastes amazing, and the food comes out so fast! Every time we have people visiting we always take them here! We especially love the seasonal menu! We love coming here and will continue to come!

We were driving thru, stopped and had a bite to eat, Saturday noonish, very packed upon entering, waited about 20 minutes for a table, turn over seemed to be fairly quick, we had a lovely table by the window. Already knew what I wanted, read the menu while waiting, Million dollar bacon, Tri-Fecta, my cousin ordered Kale juice and BLT Eggs Benedict. We did not wait long, food was delicious, table in corner was a little cool as AC was blowing on us. But, everyone was attentive, menu was unique, and food was good, I ordered the chicken sausage, thin and delicious with blueberry pancake, eggs med., in which whites were still runny. My order came with bacon but, as soon as I got a hold of her she brought me the sausage.. the bacon was fabulous, could of been cooked a tad more for crispiness

First Watch is one of my favorite brunch spots around Charleston. The food is delicious and the service is fast and friendly. This would be great place to take the family or have a business lunch. The dining room is quite open while still having a farmhouse cozy vibe.

Probably the best cafe in West Virginia. Incredible food, staff were so friendly. The food came out super fast. Relatively chill quiet environment for breakfast. Could not recommend this place more.

Passing through Charleston and took extra time to hit a "special" place, at least according to Yelp. Place was busy but only waited 1-2 minutes to be seated. Food was fantastic and the coffee was on point. Our server Erin is a ROCKSTAR! If you are searching for great eats and are lucky enough to get Erin as your server, you'll walk away with a huge smile on your face! Thanks Erin and First Watch for making it a worthwhile detour!!

I was in the area for a wedding and needed a good breakfast. I came on the weekend and they have parking across the street for all patrons eating at the restaurant which is amazing. They don't have a waitlist which is pretty inconvenient for the number of people they seem to service in the morning. Thankfully I was in pretty early for I only had to wait about 25 minutes. We were seated at a very small table and it's very cramped inside. They pack people in there like sardines. I ordered the Farmhouse Hash with over easy eggs and a biscuit. It was pretty good and the jelly was homemade it seemed. I would say for the wait, the price, and seating to maybe go early.

Before heading off to the Criel Mound in South Charleston we stopped in to First Watch for breakfast. First of all parking is hard to find nearby, don't park out in front, it's a tow away zone. Park in the ramp which is attached where there are meters inside the ramp. We loved the look & feel of the space, so contemporary & stylish. We ordered the Ham & Gruyere melt & the AM Superfood Bowl ( Chia seed pudding with berries & almonds with almond butter toast ) & a side of Million dollar Bacon. Everything was absolutely fantastic, so good in fact we both rate this meal as possibly the best breakfast we have ever had! The million dollar bacon isn't cheap ( $ 5 49 ) but it's a must try! The prices are very reasonable too, ( 2 entrees, 1 side & 2 beverages ) for $ 36 11. We can't recommend First Watch strongly enough!

I've dined at several FW restaurants in many different states - this one is my favorite for sure. This staff is always courteous, pleasant & friendly. The food is always fresh, well prepared & delicious. The environment & ambiance is always clean, lively & fun. Best brunch spot downtown.

The bar staff was outstanding from start to finish. We had a few different bartenders taking care of us, and each one was attentive, friendly, and great at helping with recommendations. We ordered the New York steak and the Brussels sprouts special. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium, and the Brussels sprouts hit that ideal balance--crispy, flavorful, and just right. Everything we had was packed with flavor. The drinks didn't miss either--ice-cold beer and expertly crafted cocktails all around. If you find yourself in Charleston, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommend.

The picture is really a "secret"... you take your life into your hands going down into the "speak-cheesy!" The handrail was pretty rickety and the flooring really should be replaced.... I wanted to try something new and interesting and through my Yelp research I found this spot. It's located in downtown with metered street parking free Monday-Saturday nights after 6pm and all of Sunday. Luckily, we were able to find a spot easily. Inside was modern and relatively clean. We had to wait a little bit to be seated as they were pretty busy; however, this place had a decent amount of seating and space. Service was good overall, but it wasn't as consistent as I would've liked for actions such as water refills, asking for extra napkins, etc. This was partly because they were very busy that night. They have a variety of food options - apps, salads, sandwiches, pies (pizzas), and dessert. We ended up ordering a large pizza (thin crust) to split - half Thai and half Chicken Gouda. Both were yummy although the crust was a tad burnt - nothing bad to the extent that taking bites were an effort. Overall, I preferred the Thai since I've never come across a Thai style pizza and I could really taste the curry sauce. The only downside of the Thai was that the shrimp were slightly overcooked, which could be potentially explained by us ordering a pizza split in two styles with them cooking the entire pizza evenly versus what is needed for each ingredient. We finished the entire pizza between the two of us, but I could see someone having some leftovers. If possible, they might want to do some minor pest management. The entire time of our visit a fruit fly or gnat was hovering around us and the food. We tried to catch it and protect the food, only for it to ultimately take a permanent dip in my water. My overall assessment was that it was a good place to try in the city. It's not something I would crave, but I wouldn't mind coming back again if I was in the area.

They have gluten free options and anything can be made gluten free according to the staff. They also have some vegetarian options. I love burgers, and honestly, it's hard to beat a handmade beyond smashburger. This restaurant currently does not offer another veggie substitute other than the Portobello mushroom. It was good, with the added goat cheese, but would have rather had a burger substitute with mushrooms added on top. The fries are great! Perfectly fried with golden crunch in every bite. The garlic aioli is the perfect dipping sauce. I ordered a ranch side as well and it's good, but the aioli is the best choice in my opinion. Great local restaurant with a burger for everyone.

This one wasn't even squished in a George Foreman grill. Just served on a (good and tasty and crunchy) bread. Oliver had a cheeseburger and fries, and the table order was rounded out with a braised beef sandwich. That was declared by Amy as the number 1 sandwich at the place.
