The restaurant is bright, spacious, and welcoming, with great indoor seating plus outdoor options--perfect for a sunny Florida morning. The food was fresh, flavorful, and made-to-order, just as advertised. I went with the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and a side of Million Dollar Bacon--absolutely delicious and generous portions that left me happy but not stuffed. The coffee was strong and hot, and their fresh juices are a must-try. But what really made the visit special was our server, Vanessa. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. She checked in just the right amount, remembered our preferences, and even suggested a great modification to make my dish even better. My mom had the Tri-fecta with the Belgium waffle and bacon, I had that the last time I was there and she enjoyed it as much as I had! I chose to try a sandwich this time, I chose the roast beef with horseradish havarti on sourdough bread. This sandwich was way too salty, I determined that it was the roast beef as I only ate half the sandwich with the bread and just ate the little bit of meat that was left on the other half and that was the culprit. It also didn't taste like true roast beef it looked weird and I thought with the restaurant having a limited amount of items to choose from that it would be like fresh sliced from the deli. I have determined that for me this will be my go to breakfast restaurant. The coffee was just like I like it! Visited First Watch for Sunday brunch and used my birthday coupon - such a nice perk! Arrived around 9:15 am and there was already a 20-minute wait for inside seating, so we opted to sit outside. A note of caution: while the fresh air is nice, the outdoor seating area has quite a few birds around and unfortunately some of the chairs had bird droppings, so inside is definitely the better option if you can wait. We ordered the BLT Eggs Benedict and really enjoyed it - perfectly poached eggs, fresh tomato, and greens. For drinks, we tried the Blazing Dragon juice and the Kale Tonic. The Blazing Dragon leaned on the sweeter side, while the Kale Tonic was more on the bitter side - definitely more of an acquired taste. Service was attentive and friendly by Jessica especially considering how busy it was at peak breakfast time. Food arrived fresh, and the staff kept things moving smoothly despite the weekend crowd. As a diner it is very nice and a step up from some of the older ones in the area which haven't been updated in decades. Typical diner style food. The seasonal specials feature nice dishes. The million dollar bacon was great. The iced latte was overly sweet--pure sugar. Service is good but it gets way too packed and way too loud. First Watch never disappoints. This is my first time coming to the kendall location . I must say it's pretty big inside. It has indoor and outdoor seating which is great . We arrived on a busy Saturday morning around 10:30 am . Which I would say is peak time . We waited around 10- 15 minutes until our table was ready. My only issue was , once you receive a text message that you table is ready you have 2 minutes to check in with the hostess. If not you lose your spot. I feel like that time should be possibly 5 minutes. Once we sat down we were attended too right away . Our food came out quickly and it was hot which i appreciated . I got the trifecta which came with a pancake , sausage and eggs. My friends got the French toast and the blueberry lemon cornbread which was all good. This was our first time at First Watch and we really enjoyed it! We shared the Blueberry Cornbread and it was so delicious, we really loved it! I tried their breakfast tacos which came with chicken, chorizo, eggs, and salsa; it was a generous portion and very tasty! Stopped by Friday around noon. The hostess wasn't welcoming but we were seated quickly. We ordered the summer corn bread with blueberries and lemon butter and two breakfast plates. The corn bread had good flavor but it was very dry. I asked for soft scrambled eggs, they came out really well done. The breakfast potatoes weren't cooked all the way through. The breakfast plates come with one piece of toast, not two. The best part of the meal were the blueberry pancakes. Sooo good! The syrup was also warm which was a nice touch. They also leave a coffee carafe at your table so you can refill yourself as needed. That's a plus. The hostess that sat us also rang us up when we went to pay. She was super unfriendly and probably shouldn't be in that role. She seemed bothered and annoyed. This was my 2nd visit to First Watch although two different locations. Took me a while to visit this location, first one close to me!!! Went with a group of 7, we were seated promptly, all the orders were correct and nicely cooked. Nice, chill ambience and the food was all fresh and tasty. My favorites this visit were the club sandwich and the farmhouse skillet. I like any of their skillets honestly, and their avocado toast. My first experience was a location in P pines and I so loved it. So when I heard one was opening close to home it was exciting. The food always tastes fresh and has a healthier aspect I find then most breakfast spots. The menu consists of all things tasty from big ass pancakes, to sandwiches, huge salads, hot coffee and refreshing drinks. On this morning I went with the half sandwich and soup. The gruyere cheese and turkey sandwich (it's usually ham and gruyere but I don't eat pork) and I added a tomato slice was my go to. My friends had the egg breakfast with one had a pancakes the other French toast. The portions are huge and filling. We sat outside to enjoy our breakfast and not a sound was made as we all indulged. The staff is extremely kind and our waitress was exceptional, giving us excellent selection options. I ordered the mint mocha iced coffee that was so refreshing for a coffee and we started with the million dollar bacon. It was delicious but not the best million dollar bacon I've ever had. The food was served extremely fast and everything looked great. The seasoned potatoes were delicious and perfectly crispy - not soggy at all. My sandwich had a nice helping of smashed avocado and arugula. Portions were big and very filling. This location is perfect if you're in the Kendall area and want to grab breakfast on the turnpike by the exit. However, the experience was far from ideal. The seating area was absolutely terrible. We requested a change from the staff to the management team, but it was a nightmare. The coffee and food went cold in seconds because the space is so small and the air is blowing ridiculously hard. It felt like we were in 50-degree weather while it was about 100 degrees outside! They kept the windows and the terrace/patio area open, which was not a smart decision. The humidity and heat combined made it unbearable. I can't even begin to tell you if the food had any taste because it was all cold. Our server was very nice and handled the situation well, but the table across from us also reached out to the management team. They were unprofessional and, to be honest, rude. This was especially difficult for our daughter, who kept asking to leave and expressing how cold she felt. I will definitely not be returning to this establishment. read more

I joined some friends for brunch the other day at the new Kendall First Watch location. I had been to locations in Melbourne and Orlando I the past and enjoyed them. I had added our name to the wait ahead of time using the app (secret hack!) so we ended up waiting about 30 minutes when we got there instead of the 2 hours one of the girls in our group had been quoted when she first arrived. First Watch is a classic but modern breakfast diner. It's open and bright inside. The food is great. I had the mint mocha iced coffee which was good but def be prepared that it's more like dessert than a typical breakfast coffee. This time I had the biscuits with turkey gravy and it was delicious. Firsts visit to this new location. Being FW conneseurs, we were still open to try something different. Their current new menu items were spot on. Trips the Blueberry Cornbread and we enjoyed. So glad we finally got a First Watch in Kendall!!! The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. It has a country/beachside style with an open kitchen concept. Feels like you are close the beach or in the Everglades. Wait times are a bit long but it's very new. The first weekend the wait times were about 2 hours. This weekend the wait was about 45 mins. Worth the wait though... The coffee here was the best. I barely had to add any sugar to mine. Definitely recommend as well of an order of million dollar bacon which is caramelized. I ordered the BLT eggs Benedict with a side of million dollar potatoes. The hollandaise sauce had a lemony kick and the potatoes were covered in bacon and gravy. My husband got the chocolate chip pancakes with eggs and sausage. The pancakes were so fluffy and so chocolatey. Yum! My mom got the French toast with fruit and my dad got the waffle with eggs and turkey sausage. They both came a berry compote that was by far the best thing on the table. This is the first time I've been to this First Watch location and unfortunately my experience was not so great like I've had at others. The positives are the bathrooms were clean, I love the interior (it's beautiful inside, nice vibe), the service was good, our waitress was nice, and we didn't have to wait long for the food. Also, the coffee was very good! The negatives started of with not being given water for some time, and then when I got my BLT eggs Benedict the egg whites were raw, and my sister's eggs in her order were not made over easy like she wanted. Also, I got the smallest two slivers of avocado I've ever gotten on a BLT eggs Benedict at First Watch, it was nothing. And finally, I had not been given syrup with my pancake. I was waiting for someone to come by so I could ask, but it took too long, so when I saw someone leave and pay their tab in a table near ours I got the syrup left on their table. When I did eat the pancake, it wasn't very good unfortunately. It wasn't a very good experience overall. It was surprising for me.
