The breakfast sandwich was packed with flavor, the latte was perfectly balanced, and the Banana Walnut Pancake was on another level. The combination of caramelized banana, toasted walnuts, and their smoked maple syrup was absolutely RIDICULOUS. We loved it so much that we came back just two days later. This time, we shared the breakfast sandwich because we needed to save room for more pancakes. Jealous Fork started out as the first artisan pancake food truck in the country. Joaquin Ortiz & Henrik Telle needed more space as their line that consistently stretched around the block. People waited for hours just to get a taste of their Instagram-worthy pancakes. Jealous Fork has been featured by foodies & influencers across the country. Listen. This place is the gem of Kendall. Not just for the food. The experience is all encompassing. The staff? AMAZING is the closest word I can come up with. They're known for their pancakes, which are good (I had the traditional pancake this visit), their bacon isn't overcooked, and the coffee was great. The food was delicious but the kitchen was one mistake after another. They ask if we want all the food together and we said yes, 2 people got their food while 3 of us waited. We asked the server and she was very nice and said yes it's coming out in 2 minutes, 15 minutes later still no food. Then 2 more people get their food and then 5 minutes the last person gets the food. The breakfast sandwich description was a folded Japanese egg but they just fried an egg. The banana pancake was overly sweet. I may just be used to be better quality dishes with more balanced flavors. But for others it may be a hit. The food didn't come together so you have one person sitting with their food and the second person sitting waiting for 10 min. You can find pretty much anything in Miami. But if you're looking for a simple and perfect breakfast with the absolute best pancakes, you're ever going to taste, this is definitely the place. The servers are extremely attentive, but it's hard not to love them when they're so nice to talk to and they're bringing such delicious food. I really love the vibe of the place and the food is outstanding. I tried both the sweet and the savory and have to admit the sweet is way better. I do have to add to that that the savory was quite good and the lox portion on the one I got was more than generous but after tasting the pancakes on one of the sweet dishes, I absolutely fell in love with those. Stopped in for late brunch while we were in town on a Thursday. First, while it's a breakfast/brunch spot, it's kind of strange that you apparently can't just get regular coffee. After they attempted to push the more pricey specialty drinks, getting the $4.50 Americano was about as close as we could get to a regular cup of coffee. It was fine, although it would've been nice to have something with a refill option, which this didn't. My wife had the Oreo pancakes, while I had the PB Cup. Mine looked like the Yelp pics, but hers didn't. No big stack for her. Also, while both were very good, and hers had lots of Oreo pieces, mine didn't really seem to have any PB Cup pieces, although there was definitely a lot of PB sauce/syrup to overwhelm the flavor. The two pancakes weren't necessarily huge, and while we each thought we could've eaten more (as the pics showed) the richness of both proved to be more than enough. Service was friendly enough too. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed at the door with smiles and greetings. There are tables indoor and outdoor. We ended up getting the blueberry lemon pancake, the bacon, pork belly bites, the pain perdu, espresso custard, matcha latte and the strawberry drink. Literally every bite was incredible. One of the pork belly bites was all fat so we didn't eat that one, but overall, chef's kiss. Love the menu at Jealous Fork, very interesting and very flavorful. Definitely one of the best services i have encountered. I came here again and yet again, the food was impeccable and the service was great. This time it was packed and we had to wait for a table and we ate the bar where we could see the entire kitchen, which i always respect when restaurants do, goes to show how they follow guidelines and how sanitary and fresh everything is. We've been to Jealous Fork a handful of times now, and it's been consistently amazing every single visit. Sky was our server yesterday and she was so kind and patient. She gave us great recommendations and made sure everything ran smoothly. Every time we come in, O'gean always ends up taking care of us in some way, and he truly stands out. He's incredibly warm, welcoming, and makes you feel instantly comfortable. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does (we love him). What really makes this place special is the people. They had the MOST sweetest, friendliest hostess who helped us sit our entire family even though we did not have reservations.
