I use to come here all the time and order the quinoa bowl until one day my mother and I was served the bottom of the quinoa pot the quinoa had a charred smell and we also found black pieces of burnt quinoa hidden under the chicken. We alerted the waitress and she took it back. We got the food back in less than 5 minutes with the EXACT same charred smelling food and black bits. I will never come here again. Menu and atmosphere are 'harty'. Coffee was good. My gf had the triathlete and it was absolutely delish and great portion. I had good old fashion French toast which was also delish! Will definitely come back to try their avocado toast. read more

Ok, I only ordered eggs, toast and coffee. Eggs were fresh however when served on an ice cold plate, over easy quickly becomes over easy and cold. They were fresh though. The toast was still warm and outstanding bread, however there was only one slice. I order breakfast out frequently, all the way up and down the entire east coast, never got just one slice of bread. Yes it was top notch quality bread, but not enough for both eggs. I'm a dipper, so by the time I get the second slice, the second egg could have been delivered by uber from the McDonald's down the street. Prices for sides are over priced here. I could have ordered a breakfast here for less, trying to not eat bacon or potatoes though, so I get punished for trying to eat healthier?? Entire bill for two eggs, two slices of bread and coffee with FL sales tax = $11.40. Shame on you First Watch, at least serve hot eggs!!! Now I don't usually leave reviews but I felt the need this time. Not only have I been to this particular first watch plenty of times but today I decided to bring my dad to experience what I've been talking about. Not only were we overlooked by at least 3 servers for 20-30 minutes but not one of them bothered to asked had we been helped. After watching other tables being filled around us I went to ask was the server in our section ever coming to ask if we were thirsty or something. Ten minutes later my dad went to ask if we were gonna be served while everyone that arrived with us was leaving and we are watching the people that just got there eat their food. Waited another few minutes then decided to leave because I didn't wanna be that person who made a scene so I removed myself from the situation. Not sure if your servers felt like working today first watch but this wasnt my best experience and definitely not a great first impression for my dad. read more

Coffee never arrived and portions are too small. Service is not up to the price they charge. At the cashier I ask for the coffee to be removed from the bill and instead of receiving and apology I had to wait for for them to check with the kitchen. Unbelievable read more

This is the WORST service I've ever received. If there was a zero rating that's what I would give them. My girlfriend and I decided to try this place out today because our friends told us about their brunch. We reserved our table on No Wait and it was great. We placed our food order as soon as we sat down. We had to ask our server( he never introduced himself)for water two times, and table set with no silverware. An hour and half past we still didn't get our food. A family of 10 came 30 minutes after us received their food first. How can a server repeatedly check our table and told us our food is coming and still didn't give us our food. This is ridiculous! I don't know what the problem was but this is not how people should be treated. I don't normally write a bad review but they really messed up and didn't care. In comparison to the Sunrise location, the Miami Gardens location is slower, less organized and the service not as good. The food isn't made as well. Maybe they're still trying to get up to speed since they opened less than a year ago? Over easy eggs came out fried after a very long wait for food, server never came to check on us. Upon arrival the host appeared rushed and overwhelmed. When I told him about my Yelp check in, he ignored me for about 4 minutes, while he checked in others who arrived after me, and responded to me rudely when I questioned my wait time. When I was seated, my coffee cup was dirty with what appeared to be dried avocado stains. When I kindly asked the waiter to replace the cup, he came back about 2 minutes later with the exact same cup I asked to replace. In addition, it took him about 8 minutes to bring us the coffee I asked for. The food was just average, nothing special about it. Service was terrible. read more

The food selections are healthy and tastes fresh. I had the avocado toast and tea. The seating can be tight depending on where you're seated. The service was average only because my server seemed to be overwhelmed with multiple tables but she was sure to ask if we were ok. It's a great location for breakfast or brunch. We live within walking distance and saw all the construction. We finally took a walk to give this new place a try. Food is good and you get a large amount. Service is a little distant...our server brought the food and never came back until she dropped the check. Menu is pretty large but a tad pricey for breakfast or lunch. Tale of Two Restaurants - Let me begin by saying I am a frequent diner at First Watch. I go there about once a week on weekdays to get breakfast and get some work done. I have always enjoyed the food and the service and would recommend it highly at those times. However, this review of for the dining experience I had today (Sunday brunch). For the first time ever there was a line. The wait was about twenty minutes and they had free coffee for those who wanted it. Very nice. The problems started once we were seated. Very slow service. Took ten minutes to get coffee. And other ten to order. And another thirty to get our food. Once the food arrived it looked rushed. The eggs weren't really scrambled (when you see the white and yellow areas separate), the potatoes were dry and cold, and even the toast was hard and not hot enough to melt the butter they put on it We told the waitress and the cashier about the slow service and the sub par food and they told us that they get very busy on the weekends and that they were a bit short staffed. There are plenty of places that get very busy and don't have these kinds of issues. In the future I will still go on week days but will find other options on the weekends. For the record on a weekday I would give them 5 stars. Fresh food. Always hot. And nice wait staff that let me sit and work without feeling rushed out. read more

The three times I've been here with a friend who's a regular customer, our breakfasts were served anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes apart, which I complained about. No one wants to eat alone. In addition, yesterday the cage-free eggs were overcooked instead of being over-easy, and my toast order forgotten. The waiters & waitresses, although pleasant, tend to make excuses rather than take charge of the problem while you can hear a woman shouting from the open kitchen--probably the chef. With chain restaurants, cooking should be easier since it's mostly by rote, nothing extraordinary. The food is fine once you get it. It seems that one of the issues here is that take-out orders are being handled at the same time customers are waiting to be served, all of which adds to the disorganization, explaining why one's food may be served late. Plus, one of the hostesses foolishly told my friend I was "mean." If you're running a business, you have to be professional and know how things are done properly. Taking advice can lead to better business. read more

First of all I would like to say the food is good , however, the receptionist part is horrible ! They give you an estimated time and for another party they give another estimated time less than what they told you. They don't even have a person who just takes the clients name , they get the people name and cash register. Well, after my wife was told by some friend about this place we decided to take breakfast this Sunday, I am not a demanding person about food or anything, but when I read at the food menu, fresh squeezed orange juice and I got a supermarket box orange juice that I could get for less that 20 % Of what they charge it here, I got vey disappointed, I call one of the girls, and she has not other answer, that is what we serve here and offered me if I could chose another kind of drink,now if a simple orange juice is not natural, I do not want to imagine how are the other ones, beside this it took for ever to be served after we ordered. read more

Like others I assumed it was a watch shop. I was a little hesitant to try a new place but I'm glad I did. I went on a Saturday late morning and the wait was about 5 minutes, not too bad. It is child friendly and very welcoming overall. Some staff are better and quicker than others but are all mostly friendly and hospsitable. The food is really good and a mix of healthy and tasty. I didn't choose the healthier items but could if I was on a special diet. I would return and recommend it to others. I got the chickichanga and loved it. read more

I literally just walked out of the Miami Gardens location in FL and will never return. Earlier in the morning I called in to place an order for my wife and I. We frequent this place quite often and literally ate there yesterday. Never had any major issues but this morning was just unbelievable. As I was placing my order an employee by the name of Alex was taking my second order and I had trouble hearing him and he aggressively repeated himself I simply told him to relax and he abruptly hung up the phone in my face. I called back and a women who identified herself as the manager tried to put him back on the phone and I simply said I'll be on my way and we all can talk in person. When I arrived this employee became even more irate in front of customers, staff and his employers. He even raised his hands to my face and said you're the one coming over here being disrespectful and then walked off. I looked back at his employers and told them this will be the last time I ever come here and as you can see you guys have yourself a great hire. No one asked me for my name or number they simply let me walk out and that was the end of it. Never have I ever been so disrespected as a long time paying customer who tips very well in any establishment. This type of service is totally unacceptable and despicable and the managers especially this staff member should either be terminated or receive some sort of disciplinary action. read more
