Came here for brunch today - not my first time, I've been a few times before. I just love the breakfast options at this place. My favorite is the chickichanga. My boyfriend got the Italian hash and a banana walnut pancake. The portions are pretty generous and the food is delectable. I love all the menu options, especially the new Mediterranean dish they've added to the menu (shakshuka). The service is awesome and prices are very reasonable given quality and portion size. Be sure to bring a little patience though - word has gotten out about how awesome this place is and it tends to be pretty busy. The bathrooms are also very clean, which is a special feat given how busy the place is. Also not too bad having a Starbucks right next door nexuses you can always enjoy a coffee or tea while you wait for your table. Enjoy!! read more

We have been to First Watch several times in the past few months, and were happy to have a great new breakfast restaurant to frequent. But I was shocked today when our waitress mentioned that maple syrup was an extra charge! I had assumed that the warmed, brown syrup on our table was real maple syrup, since all of their marketing says "finest ingredients possible". If you are going to serve corn syrup as your default, don't you think that most people will assume that it is maple? I guess it is my fault for being so gullible, but even Cracker Barrel serves real maple syrup. Don't advertise as "fresh" and "locally grown", and "finest ingredients available" with deceptive marketing techniques, when your syrup is the same as at Waffle House! For the price we pay for four people to eat breakfast ($50 easily), I should NOT have to pay extra for real maple syrup. read more

While the food is claimed to be healthy it's not that great for the 40 minute wait to be served it. Service is less than desirable. I would rather make oatmeal and crack an egg at my own home than come here again. read more

My wife and I have been to the new restaurant 3 times since it opened. Today was extremely disappointing. She ordered a vegetarian dish (and specifically to the waitress it had to be vegetarian) and when it was finished I noticed two - three bacon pieces. We called the waitress who came over, took the dish to the cook, and returned and said, yes indeed it was bacon pieces, sorry. My wife told me she was going home to throw up. I asked the waitress to tell the manager to please comp the meal. Indeed she came back and was "gracious" and removed the meal with the balance due of 4.26 for the coffee and an English muffin. For a new restaurant I would think customer service should be at a premium. The waitress and the manager seemed like it was no big deal. The manager never even came to the table. Great way to handle this !!! Not sure we will rush back or tell friends to come. Better to go and find another place to eat! read more

Food is great but the organization is very poor. With many people waiting for tables they are slow to bus finished tables and seat people. They only put in four orders at a time no matter how many are at the table so some are eating while the others in the party wait and watch. They need a good manager to move the staff. read more

Came this morning at 9 to have breakfast with my husband and ten month baby. They were smiley and polite. The hostess had us sitting right away with a high share. The tables and floors are clean, I do not know how their bathrooms are. Their kitchen looks clean and organized, waitress is attentive. I am allergic to eggs so I was very limited with their breakfast menu, though their lunch menu has sandwiches and salads. I was hoping for pancakes or waffles but they use eggs . I was hoping they'd have an alternative vegan waffle or pancake option. But it's okay, I had the quinoa bowl with sausage veggies. My food was cold in parts and warm in other . My husband had the healthy turkey with whole grain toast and coffee. They offer free juice for kids. Our bill came out to $21. With change. Much better quality food than Ihope and Denny's. Everytime I come here I can't understand why the eggs are always over cook when I E specifically ask for medium, the prices are too high for eggs avocado and toast. In my opinion either you switch the chef or train him more, is just eggs. Never coming here again! read more

I have tried a few of their menu items and they were all pretty good, though my favorite is the Avocado Toast. The service is fast and cozy farm like enviromente inside a small strip mall on Miami Gardens Drive on your way to the Aventura mall for example, a quick yummy choice instead of taking Ives Dairy road. There is a Starbucks, a Publix and a TJmax in the same plaza. Highly recommended to give it a try! read more

First off mu wife and kids order came in and my wife was served something that was not even close to what she ordered, my order never even came out. My friend and I decided to pay this restaurant a visit after looking on yelp for local brunch spots. The reviews on both Google maps and yelp were impressive so needless to say, Melinda and I were very excited to see what all the rave was about. Our first impression of the store was favorable. The store itself is light and refreshing which funnily enough reflects the hours of the store (7am-2:30pm) and welcomes any newcomer quiet warmly. On a sunday morning this restaurant was busy but the wait time was fairly brief and the staff were friendly. The buzz of so many people made the room feel very lively. So far so good, right? Unfortunately, this is where most of the good things I have to say about this restaurant ends. The food isn't pricy but it didn't taste nearly as great as I had hoped it would. The wait time was bearable for my friend and i, but for two women seated next to us, the service (from what we overheard) and food was terrible. I appreciate the healthy selection of meals this restaurant provides as well as the exceptional customer service offered by the servers, but as far as food goes, it ain't all that. read more

This is the absolutely the WORST management and restaurant ever! They lack professionalism and do not know how to run a busy location. We checked in on the app at 11am. Got to the restaurant at 11:15 we still waited until 12:20 pm. They could not seat us because half the tables were not bussed and they kept calling tables for 2 over and over and over. They had a woman sitting alone at a table for 4 waiting for the rest of her party and not ordering then they finally told us to sit at a table for 6 that was not bussed so we helped bus the table and a guy came out from the back SCREAMING at us saying it was his job to bus the table and we aren't allowed to help and then the manager came out and said we couldn't sit at a dirty table (that had not been cleaned for 30 minutes). The man continued to scream it was his job . As the manager was talking to us she leaned over and rested her chest on top of the individuals in our pArty. I never leave bad reviews and never in my life have I seen a circus like this. DO NOT EAT AT THIS LOCATION. I wouldn't be surprised if they go out of business based on how they ran today. read more

This is probably my worst experience ever at any restaurant. I ordered salmon benedict and the waitress brought me ham Benedict.. she said it's what she understood. Another waitress brought me the salmon Benedict. however, as she placed the plate in front of me she informed me that one of the eggs had dropped and that she would bring me another one . All of this while I looked at my plate in disbelief... it looked like they moved the tomatoes to take out the ham and add a slice of salmon.. the plate looked like someone had picked through the food! I was disgusted.. the manager never came to our table or even acknowledged what had occurred. I will never come back to this establishment. Went to First Watch for the first time.I had the smoked salmon eggs benedict. It was delicious. It was the first time I'd ever had eggs benedict on anything other than English muffins. A nice change. I went here in the afternoon and ordered oat mill that came with fruit and a muffin, adding a side of millionaire bacon, thinking it must be special. The oatmill was decent. The muffin had chocolate chips in it, but tasted stale. The 4 strips of millionaire bacon, priced like millionaire bacon, were horrible; saturated in grease and syrup, and certainly not choice cuts of bacon. The special seasoning on mine was overwhelming grease and super sweet syrup. I never knew bacon could taste so nasty, and never expected to leave it on my plate. A low quality bacon fried crispy and dipped in syrup would have far exceeded this gewey disaster on a white plate. All of the tables were set up with empty water glasses ready to fill, but the waitress didn't bother to fill or bring the water carafe until near the end of the meal, right before the check, perhaps not concerned, since I had also ordered coffee. My experience was really more of a 1 star experience at the University Dr. Location in Plantation, but I did have a friend recommend it, so perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing on the wrong day. read more

Bummer. This location really let me down three times, and the one today was the final time, and I won't be coming back, unfortunately. The service is ok, no complaints really there. But however the food is just not really that good. I've gone to the First Watch in Tampa (2 locations) and those have been wonderful. Today I ordered the seasonal pumpkin pancake (which I had last year in Tampa, which was amazing) and I had to take a bite out of my boyfriends regular pancake to make sure mine was pumpkin. Had a little pumpkin flavor, fine. It comes with two eggs and a sausage patty. I opted instead to get grits (no cheese, 1.99) and potatoes (2.99). When I received the bill it was still the same price as if I ordered the two eggs and patty. I figured it'd be rung up differently (cheaper) but still had to pay full price. Honestly, the food has been a let down all three times I've gone, and I kept giving another chance because of how good the Tampa locations were. I wont be going back to any First Watch from now on. I basically paid $6 for one bland pancake today. On a positive note, their iced coffee is really good. **I'm updating my review for the great customer service representatives who have reached out to me since the review. It means a lot that it was taken seriously. I meant no harm in my review, but just wanted to share my experience as someone who's been going to multiple First Watches for a long time. I use to come here all the time and order the quinoa bowl until one day my mother and I was served the bottom of the quinoa pot the quinoa had a charred smell and we also found black pieces of burnt quinoa hidden under the chicken. We alerted the waitress and she took it back. We got the food back in less than 5 minutes with the EXACT same charred smelling food and black bits. I will never come here again. And what made matters worst the big guy in the kitchen comes out with an attitude. read more
