We didn't reserve in advance (which I now highly recommend). The wait was about an hour, but we passed the time at the nearby Churchill with a pre‑drink, and they texted us when our table was ready. The Sunday night jazz band was fantastic. The staff is incredibly friendly, and they work together as a team to take care of you. Amber was our primary server - she was great. Service for both drinks and food was quick, and the cozy Irish pub atmosphere made it even better. Definitely try to reserve ahead on the website if you can. If not, just plan to relax at one of the nearby pubs until your table is ready.

As for the food, my partner got the pulled pork sandwich with fries and I got the lemon pepper chicken wings. The chicken wings were good but, they put too much lemon pepper seasoning that I couldn't finish it. The portion sizes were good though and we left full. The vibe of the place was really nice. It was a good spot to take a rest from all the Niagara Falls adventures you had that day! The service was also good as well as we were seated right away.

Service was slow, but that wasn't really the waitress's fault - they clearly aren't staffing the place appropriately. She was evidently on her own in the front of the house. As a result, our drinks weren't refreshed, and we waited for a long time between her visits to the table. The chicken sandwich had looked (in the menu photo) amazing - notably in the photo it was covered with a huge amount of coleslaw. When it arrived it seemed like they had run out of coleslaw and were trying to stretch it by using only a tiny amount. I tried to get the waitress's attention to ask for more, but was finished my lunch by the time she paid us any attention. My wife's fish was fine. It is served with a side of coleslaw too - a very small amount again. My son found his burger to be very basic - a small step up from the sort of thing you get at a fast food joint. We all had fries with our lunches. The fries were actually very good. But, like the coleslaw, it was as if they were running low. All of us remarked on how few fries were on our plates. It seems very odd to be stingy with the cheapest things on our plates. Coleslaw and fries cost virtually nothing. My wife caters, and she routinely comps her customers slaw, for that reason. It's an easy, and very inexpensive, way to ensure customers feel like they're getting value. In any case, we were unimpressed, and won't be back.

I got into Canada early, so I decided to go have some lunch. I walked in, and immediately felt like I just came home. The bartender, this lovely young woman named Onya, came up and took my order. I ordered a black and tan. She suggested I go for the smooth black and tan which I did. It did not disappoint! I may have to have my black and tans like this for the rest of my life. I ordered a cup of the buffalo wing chowder, and she said it's one of the most popular items on the menu. I asked her to bring that out first before my Classic Caesar salad. Let me tell you something about that soup. Now I'm not a big soup guy, but I do like chowders, and this was the absolute best I've ever had. Had. I've had clam chowder all over the United States but man this one absolutely nails it! It has that buffalo wing flavor which just perfect and not overpowering. I should have gotten the bigger bowl of it instead of the cup. Now let's talk about the Caesar salad. It was absolutely perfect! It had the perfect ratio of dressing to lettuce, not just poured on top like most places but actually tossed. Onya said she did it herself, so massive kudos for her going above and beyond the call of duty. Overall this meal hit on all cylinders and did not disappoint. I will definitely be back here a couple more times while I'm in Canada. If you need to find me, you know where to find me. The bottom line? You really need to get the buffalo chicken wing chowder. It is absolutely an amazing soup and will change your life. And if you like a good classic Caesar, you can't do better than this one!

She was professional, checked up on us multiple times, and gave us refills in a timely manner. The food was pretty good, and I would recommend. It's away from the crazy touristy part of town, so it's a little calmer. On this night, there was live entertainment. I was glad we sat further away because it would have interfered with conversation, but I appreciated the singing (just a little loud for me). I enjoyed my ravioli, and my friend was very happy with her baby back ribs. And if you're from USA, know that the iced tea comes sweetened.

While I wouldn't expect a pub to have great salads, I was quite pleased with the quality and portion size of their Cobb Salad. I ordered it without any modifications, but in retrospect I think it might have been better if I switched the blue cheese (original) for feta cheese - I'm biased though. The day after, I ended up ordering their Caesar Salad over the phone, for takeout. It was great too, although the dressing could have a bit more garlic - I'm also biased on this topic :) Service was quite fast and all servers were courteous, and wearing masks. The pub also offers a lesser known, and therefore quiet back patio with a few tables and large umbrellas. And I'm not talking about the one you see right when you walk out the back door. There is another one behind that. I only found out about it when I left, but it was quite welcoming and I will consider going again to sit at the (second) back patio!

I ordered the turkey avocado club. Liked it. Had lettuce, tomatoes, a slice of Kraft processed singles, pickled onions, chipotle mayo. What it promised and was unfortunately missing was the avocado, which was supposed to come as guacamole. Would have been nice to have it and I probably should have said something. Next time. Came with fries which were excellent. If I'm ever in the area again, will be back.

Two fellows occupied another table. Hmmm, where is everybody? Despite being an Irish Pub, the owners appeared to be Indian. All the staff that I saw were Indian, including the lone server/bartender. Now, that's not a bad thing because I love Indian food. I was actually quite happy! I just never expected it to be disguised as an Irish pub. I chose the Butter Chicken (Authentic creamy butter chicken sauce served with rice and naan bread). It was actually quite good but not quite up to the standard of an authentic Indian restaurant. It seemed to be lacking some of the creaminess that I've become used to in butter chicken. So this was very good, but perhaps not as authentic as I was hoping for. The rest of the place looked like what I would expect from an Irish pub. The (faux) worn furniture, the dart boards, the pool table. the fireplace, a good variety of beer on tap. Hopefully the evening crowd is better. There is one thing that I found to be a turnoff - the strong smell of air freshener or some kind of cleaning agent. Tone this down for a better, more natural experience. Please.

Problem is, the regular patrons, that smoke, now smoke and vape on the patio. Servers do nothing. Pathetic. The smokers never followed the 9 meter rule, always a cloud of smoke at the entrance, next to a daycare. Now they take over the patio. So there are so more patios that are not ruled by the clients. Too bad, nice patio, and great food, but I'll leave it to the inmates. Mackenzie's, magwyers, portly, st. Louis, even Boston pizza respect your air.

Most placed I'd been to had small selections of their own beer, but to me you have to really diversity to get to that 50 plateau and I was right. 50+ beers from all over (even back home). Steady changing selections of all craft, some local, but as varied as anyone can get around here. It's dark, small, warm, cozy, inviting, but ultimately weird. Hipster AF. I was glad to see some classic cocktails on the menu which I also tried, but there is a weird bottle neck at the chalkboard as it narrows to the bar opening which makes ordering just awkward if the bar itself isn't open. They do an interesting thing asking for your name instead of tabbing you via a card to hold, but that also doesn't seem to be a Canadian thing like it is back in the States. My pisco sour was excellent, fresh juice, fresh egg white, well shaken, though I'm more a fan of metal on metal and I'm starting to think kold-draft is a luxury as many places simply don't have it. Kold draft or even 2+ inch molded ice has a very unique clang that I like. Ultimately bad if your shaking with glass though. My friends had a few lagers and ales which Hamilton is more known for than IPA's. We sat at the back where it was quite and we could hear ourselves instead of shouting over people. They have board games which I imagine is great fun and even a back patio which I imagine goes off in the summer. The staff are friendly and pretty knowledgeable, but I'd have like to seem a little more eye in the sky control, in that regard it's more barista than bar. On any given night here you'll hear conversations of beard oil, compost, prius', and other hipster topics. It's quietly romantic and dark so no one will bother you whatever your opinions are. If a Portland hipster mated with a San Francisco hipster, The Brain would be their baby.
