I absolutely recommend them on gutters. They did part of mine a few years ago and it was a good job and fair value. I went with them on a roofing estimate based on my gutter experience. They were my high bid and did a good job - excellent clean up. But check every line item and if something is discussed during walkthroughs for estimate make sure it's included in estimate if you thought it was there. I did limited estimates but I think you need 3-4 to get a good feel for any negotiating and comfort on a roof. They are good workers no doubt but the business side had no updates on change orders until final bill so the high end jumped a bit. Just make sure the cost of what you want is specified so you don't feel buckled and dimed. read more

William Fischer (Fischer LLC) installed a rain gutter system at my house, as well as at a rental unit in my backyard. The result was disastrous. The gutters pooled water for weeks--up to a month. Green algae was flourishing in the stagnant water. The gutters were incorrectly installed with 30 screws--throughout the job--that caused damage to my wood molding. Fischer refused to remedy the situation. He felt he did a wonderful job and yes, for him Denial is a river in Egypt. I took him to Inglewood (CA) Small Claims Court and won (case # 25IW00566). My evidence included video of the heavy water pooling in the gutters along with the algae, photos of 30+ screws that caused damage to my molding, a written assessment from an uninvolved licensed gutter installer explaining why the gutters were screwed in incorrectly, and a licensed building inspectors report detailing multiple code violations along with the inferior work. Morally I'm happy I won, but financially it was of little help. The judge, who didn't understand rain gutter installation, awarded me a fourth of what I requested for remuneration and repairs. I see Fischer has managed to get some good reviews, and that's a mystery to me. Perhaps he does good work for some people. But be warned: The work he did for me was a disaster, and he would not correct it. If you must resort to Small Claims Court you may find justice to be fickle, and the process costly in time and energy. Here's a short story that personifies my experience with Fischer. My handyman, Javier, was power washing my roof in December 2024 when he noticed the water was not draining in the gutters Fischer had installed almost a year earlier. And sure enough, the light January and February rains of 2024 were pooled an inch deep in 50% of the rental unit gutter and at least 20% of the main house gutter. I called him and he came the next day. My handyman was scheduled to be there as well if I wanted advice or clarity. When Fischer arrived he acted like a bull in a china shop--a furious bully. "Where's Javier," he bellowed. When Javier appeared he began yelling at him and threatening him with a State Contractors Board complaint. I finally managed to steer him away from Javier and back to the gutter problem. I wanted him to climb my ladder to inspect the problem. He wouldn't. He said, "I already know what's wrong." He told me my house had settled with time, and gutter could not be installed in a way that would avoid the drainage problem. I said, "Why didn't you tell me this at the time of the consultation and before work began?" He said, "You didn't need to know." That's a quote. Can't say enough good things about Bill Fischer. He was the roofing sub on our remodel. Did a wonderful job on our roof. Then, three years later a small leak appeared in our guest bedroom. I called the general contractor (whom I wouldn't recommend at all!, but that's a different story and a different review) and he didn't eben come out to see what was wrong, he just called Bill and asked him to call me. Bill called quickly, he remembered and sent the foreman of the crew who had done the original install. It was a holiday week, and even though his guys were off, they came over anyway. They quickly discovered that the leak was caused by the stucco guys having left a small nail in that section of the roof (no idea how or why, but the nail was clearly not a roofing nail). Even though clearly it wasn't a roof defect, Bill brought over a dehumidifier to make sure the inside was dried, then after it was dry, he guys came back, cut out a piece of the drywall and inspected inside to make sure it was completely dried. They patched the drywall, primed and painted it, fixed it as if it's new. I had never met Bill during the project, but I'm glad to habe met him now and can recommend him and Fischer Roofing wholeheartedly. It wasn't even his error and he fixed it, and under warranty! I contacted Fischer to help me correct a situation with my rain gutter at the second floor of my rental property. The approx. 70 ft. run has two downspouts, one at each end. Very little water trickles out of the front downspout (facing the street). Most of the water pours out at the back downspout, next to the courtyard. I wanted more water to come out at the street end. I thought it was just a matter of re-pitching the slope. (I inspected with a mirror on a stick to make sure there were no obstructions inside the gutter that impeded flow to the front downspout.) Mr. Fischer agreed it just needed re-pitching. I also asked him to run a water test when done. He insisted that was NOT necessary, that they would use a level. (I would later regret not being stubborn on that point). The job was done the next day and I paid him around $450. A hard rainstorm came 2 days later. Excited, I ran out in the rain to check results. THERE WAS NO IMPROVEMENT. I called to complain and asked him to go see for himself. I could hear him turn around and ask "Jose" what happened. (So, apparently, Mr. Fischer does not follow up on his employee's work). Mr. Fischer then explains to me that Jose says the roof? was "back-pitched" and that Jose tried the best he could do. I asked if they used a string (line) level, and Mr. Fischer said well, Jose used a level. He did not say he would look at it, nor did he offer to try to fix it better. It is UNETHICAL to proceed on a job that clearly will not achieve results. Especially since the whole purpose was to improve flow to the front downspout. If Fischer and/or Jose had a hint that the job would be fruitless, they should have done the right thing, and not proceed when the "back-pitch" became apparent. I would have appreciated the honesty to abort the job and paid them a reduced fee for initial consult and discovery. I am a mature petite lady who should not (or even think to) have to climb a second-story building to inspect contractor work. I wasted $450. DO NOT TRUST this company. Fischer does not honor its work. read more

Fischer LLC was referred to me and I'm glad I reached out to them. I'm in the process of doing some maintenance on my home and one of the tasks was to have it sandblasted and a re-stucco, paint etc. Well the cost of the sandblast and stucco along with the paint was a little more than what I had budgeted, for I wanted to do some other things as well. Bill Fischer came out and inspected my current stucco's condition and guaranteed that he could patch and match the existing 20/30 sand finish and with a new 3 coat acrylic paint product, you would not be able to tell. I took his word on it and all I i can say is what a fantastic job. Extremely pleased with the quality of work, the crew, the care in which they protected adjacent finishes etc. Cleaned up on a daily basis, showed up when they said they would, and finished the project in the time estimated. By the way, Bill saved me over 7k by not having to sandblast and re- stucco. They all replaced seven (7) downspouts. Bill Fischer (Fischer LLC) took the time to walk the site everyday and be sure his crew were doing the best quality work as he and I expected. I fully recommend Fischer LLC for your painting, stucco patching and gutter / downspout work. They do Roofing as well, and I'm sure that work would be exceptional as well. The work was completed on time, the workers were courteous, communication was excellent, clean up was spotless, work was top quality, materials were top quality and eco rated, and the price was excellent. This is our second roof and gutters from Fischer. He fixed our old roof leak on another house after 2 other companies tried to repair the leak and could not fix it.
