OH MY. I just might need to convince customer to break something in near future so I can get a return trip. Had the chargrilled oysters, lump crab cake and a bowl of red beans and rice. First time I went, loved it. Then I had testing and had to go off, gluten and dairy. I come back many months later to order gluten free only. Waitress tells me only the manager cooks gf food in a different fryer and they are not there at that moment. I just haven't had good luck there since then. But if you can have gluten get those fried spicy nachos, those are awesome and the jalapeño soup I just can't have it anymore myself. read more

This was my maiden trip to Fish City at their 'new' location. At first glance, gotta say I love the set up - great outdoor deck and casual decor inside. Felt like a great hangout -bar or dining. The seafood was good (a solid 4) but our highlight of the evening was our waiter, Nigel. He is so engaging, polite, gave great menu feedback and was attentive to his guests. He is a solid 5 Stars! Thanks Nigel! Now for the food - my hubby and I love shrimp. We were jonesing for Peel & eat - ordered the app & we were not disappointed. My husband had more Peel & eat shrimp for dinner and i had the pick 2 - fried catfish & grilled shrimp with waffle fries and slaw. Fish & shrimp were very good but fries were a bit tough. Absolutely excellent! A warm welcome and a comfortable booth, our waiter (Tony) took our drink order (peach sweet tea!) while we looked over the menus. A sign on the wall mentioned the Oyster Nachos, so we had a plate of those. Six fried oysters (cornbread batter, not the usual rubber band nastiness) with a delicious remoulade and a pile of spicy brushetta on six round nacho chips. Absolutely delicious! Dinner was a crabcake sandwich (more crab than cake) and a yummy Cajun Shrimp Pasta (in a red chili cream sauce over penne pasta) that was rather spicy. We finished it off with bread pudding (awesome) and key lime pie that was so tart, I couldn't finish it and brought it home. I can't think of a single thing that I would change! Even the price was excellent - two seafood entrees, two desserts, an appetizer and two beverages was less than $50. Parking is ample here in the mall. Another solid meal here. Not 5 stars because we feel things like the tiny shrimp should be upgraded and presentation is sloppy. Ambiance is nice, menu board is cool. Bar is also nice ad roomy. Table of 5 who ordered apps and as soon as we started eating them our entree's showed up. Thats annoying. Tonight was first Friday of the month so its fundraiser night, very busy when we sat bu by the time we ordered the crowd started thinning out. Moscow mule had hardly any liquor in it. Disappointing. Our waiter Austin was really cool and helpful. We had the Peel and Eat shrimp for an appetizer it was awesome with really good cocktail sauce. I just visited fish city for the first time last week. My parents were in from Indiana and we wanted to take them somewhere that has good fish. First of all, the atmosphere is adorable. It feels like a coastal fresh fish place seen in a movie. We didn't have to wait long to be seated and our waitress Sara was darling. She went out of her way to make our experience excellent. We shared the oyster nachos as an appetizer and they were delicious. Sara also brought us tiny samples of all the soups. We ended up buying quarts to take home. Our dinner was incredible ! The fish was amazing and perfectly done. We tried the salmon, grouper tacos, fried tilapia sandwich and the dessert bread pudding was to die for! We ordered the calamari and crab cakes to start. I ordered the shrimp and grits. First time having grits and it was absolutely delicious. My only two complaints would be that the timing of the kitchen was off in that our main dish came out literally 5 minutes after our apps came to the table. Just tried to get a table for a party of 7 celebrating a birthday. Our party was made up of a group of very large men. The greeter simply push the two front tables together and tried sitting our entire group at this table. When I told him our group of 7 would not fit at a table so small. He looked me right in the eye and said sure it would and then proceeded to count out where he planned to have us sit. Literally, look see, one, two, three.... I did not hear the rest, we simply went somewhere else that understands good customer service.
