We've been to Fish City Grill many times. They are pretty consistent. Disappointed today however. Some time ago, FCG added a former " special item " to their menu. Lobster Grilled cheese. Originally, it was amazing. The first version they introduced - as a special was really good. Got it today. Cheated. Not good. It had just a few pieces of lobster, one slice of cheese mostly melted ( not fully) and some spicy sauce and bacon. Not the earlier version I remember. My fault for not reading the details, because last we got it, it was great and I didn't think anything changed. Ended up pulling the bacon off because it overpowers any lobster flavor which I can honestly say - I never tasted, because there were only a few morsels of lobster in it and the sauce and bacon overpowered it! It ruins the sandwich and there was too much spicy sauce dripping. It actually was kind of lousy. $20 bucks and a lesson learned. I'll Never order it again the way it was made. Just made sloppy and cheated out on lobster for sure. Not what we got when it was a special. Not even close. I should have complained but I didn't want to ruin a good afternoon with my daughter after not seeing her for a few weeks. The calamari was done perfect- so there's that. Please fix that sandwich back to the original, and put some lobster and love into it, to make me feel like I wasn't a chump. read more

I was seated quickly and greeted immediately. I was disappointed that the only sweet tea they had was flavored. For an appetizer I ordered the Mexican shrimp cocktail. It was very fresh, sweet and just a bit spicy. For an entree I ordered the half and half, half etouffee white rice and fried crawfish tails. The etouffe was very good but could of been spicier. Had the stuffed flounder. The food was very good. The raw oysters had no taste but it may have been because of the time of year but they were large oysters for the price. We just moved to NW and tried Fish City. Most of our family ordered the shrimp po' boy. It was more like a BREAD po' boy. All three orders had very little shrimp and virtually no mayo, lettuce, or pickles and none of the po' boys had tomatoes. Very disappointing. read more

Great finds at Fish City!! Happy hour included half price apps....peel and eat shrimp were deeply chilled and delicious. The honey chipotle tacos were amazing. We are somewhat regulars for this establishment. Enough that we are usually recognized. Typically sit at the bar. Our usual bar staff happened to be waiting tables. We just left at almost 9 and the bar staff seems consumed with cleaning up to get out and my fish was way over cooked. I've never written a review before ever but my meal and the service was so bad I felt inclined. I was traveling and Rogers for business, and we took a small group here for dinner. Loving seafood I was pretty excited and was not disappointed! Several seafood options to choose from on the menu including several oyster selections on the half shell, shrimp, catfish, and they had a special stuffed flounder this evening. I chose a pick two combo with Cajun catfish and Cajun shrimp which came with choice of sides and I chose cheesy grits and vegetable medley. They also threw in a couple hush puppies which were also great. I had a side salad which was pretty decent size and not just your average iceberg lettuce. Our group ordered several selections as well of the oysters including lemon garlic and a southwest style. Everything was excellent. I just had water with my meal, however they do have a good bar selection. If you're in the mood for seafood with a southern taste, I would definitely recommend this place. This was kind of a last minute decision when driving home from Little Rock and passing by Rogers. Wanted to waste a little time wandering through the Pinnacle Mall and then have a small lunch at Fish City. Turns out, this last minute decision was the best thing we did all day. They have a great seafood menu and it took a bit for me to finally decide what to order. But I settled on the Honey Chipotle Shrimp Tacos. The shrimp is breaded and fried and covered in this delicious, moderately spicy sauce. Topped with avocado and a carrot/celery mix, I couldn't get enough. Super bold flavor, hearty and filling - I can see why it's listed under the Favorites on the menu. I would order this again in a heartbeat. Swapped the rice side for the cider vinegar slaw. I wasn't sure what to expect here, but I was pleasantly surprised. The slaw itself was diced very finely, and the vinegar mix tasted just like those sweet bread and butter pickles. Heavenly good. My husband got the oyster poboy which he enjoyed very much. Everything tasted very fresh and was prepared nicely. I want to go back and try something else. The lump crab cake sandwich, regular fish sandwich, the fish and chips, red beans and rice. Too bad it's an hour away from home, as this is one of the best chain restaurants I've ever been to. read more

I had some sort of special, which had white fish in it. The white fish, I am not exaggerating tasted like ammonia. The white fish was horrid, we had family in town and brought them there. I've been to fish city many times. Their cocktails are great. Bloody Maries and all the others. Today we went and had amazing appetizers and order to go. We ordered lobster rolls. I've been eating here since it opened in NWA (late 2000s) and almost always get the same thing. Fish tacos and oyster nachos. The latter sounds weird but trust me it is delicious. The chipotle tartar sauce is good enough to request extras on. In the snow storms over the past 1-2 weeks I've noticed they closed at times showing they also have some good common sense which just enforces my desire to patronize this restaurant for years to come. read more

I am a regular at Fish City Grill. When I say regular, I mean like I could get my mail there. Over the last couple of months though the service has really started to suffer. On my last three occasions, something I ordered either as an appetizer or wanted pre main meal (soup etc.) either never showed up or showed up with the main meal. I know all restaurants are short staffed these days, but that should not be an excuse for those that are dining at a restaurant should be expected to be ok with bad service or entre issues. I will give it another shot I am sure, but if experiences continue like they have over these last months continue, I will not be spending my hard earned cash there any longer read more

We make a 50 mile trip to Fish City a couple time a year. Used to be the best but our last 3 visits have been so terrible we will not go back. Too bad when they were in the other location i could not wait to go but the food is terrible. Osyter were uneatable. The things that I would recommend here are the gumbo, Alaskan salmon, shrimp tacos, fish tacos, the fried cheesecake is a definite must! The waiter Shaun made sure that we had well dressed oysters, also! The fried cheese cake is to die for. The strawberry mohito is fairly good as well. I would add a bit of mint leaf. The dining area is nice. The bathrooms clean and spacious. I enjoy the outdoor patio. The iced tea is good as well. Overall, 5 star rating. Though, I was there for an event and unaware of the actual cost of things. I did enjoy that there are many healthy options on the menu. The salads are decently tossed too! read more
