    Shrimp tacos

This place has a good location. Right off the water. I do wish I had a better view of it when seating in the back. We had a good server. She made good recommendations. You def cannot go wrong with staring with their infamous fish tails!! I could have taken some of these to go. They came out hot and fresh, well seasoned... just add a little hot sauce and I was good to go. The shrimp tacos came out loaded with shrimp!! I'm never going to say that's not good haha. Everyone liked their food. Even the shrimp and grits my coworker got, he sad they were good and u got plenty of shrimp with it too. I will def come back and bring others.

Good food. Good service. Lots of outdoor seating. Sunny, sandy playground for the littles. I had a burger with excellent asparagus on the side. My wife had a fish sandwich (grouper?) and upgraded her side to a nicer salad. We both liked the food and the shaded outdoor seating. Did not go inside, so I cannot speak to that part of the restaurant. It's on the waterfront, but the views are limited: mostly trees and docked boats, but some water. Just not sweeping nautical views.. If you're in the neighborhood, give it a go.

Excellent food and service. Daniel hoang was an excellent waiter. All the food and drinks came out on time and perfectly prepared.

I have some pretty complicated and non-typical food allergies. The team from the servers to managers to kitchen were AMAZING at keeping me safe! The food was great and the portions plentiful. We also really enjoyed a side of plantains as a dessert!

We visited on a chilly, quiet day and appreciated the restaurant's outdoor setup. The large sandbox, complete with toys, looked like a great spot for kids to play, while the Adirondack chairs surrounding it created a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. There's also a spacious outdoor seating area that I'd love to experience when the weather is warmer. Since it was so cold, we opted to sit inside, where seating is more limited--about seven booths and four tables. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations, including their signature Fish Tales appetizer. The grouper was fresh and served hot, though it lacked a bit of flavor. I'd suggest squeezing the lemon that comes with it and adding a touch of salt to enhance the taste. My husband ordered the fried alligator tail po' boy and really enjoyed the flavor. For our son, we ordered the Fish Tales again since he liked them so much as an appetizer. I went with the popcorn shrimp po' boy, which was perfectly fresh and delicious. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back to try more of their dishes--hopefully on a warm day so we can enjoy that patio!

Can't beat the location overlooking the lake, there's a big sand pit for the kids to play, the food and drinks are good and our waitress was great!! I usually get the fish tales which are fired just right and the sweet potato fries & plantains were great too

Nice evening enjoying good fish and the outside spring breeze. The fish tales fish sticks were amazing as always. Our server Claire was very nice and attentive. I love their tropical slaw!

    April special, the Azalea!

We are local to the area and love coming here for the beachy atmosphere, delicious food (ahi tuna wonton nachos!) and cocktails! Ask for Brandi Q who is amazing and always makes us feel welcome!

New to the area and recommended by some locals we've met. Good service, good food, and generous portions. Come hungry, come thirsty, stay for the view! Nice outdoor venue with nice views of Lake Lanier. We had the Tales Fish Fry (fried grouper) with Tater-Tots, and a Pulled Pork Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries, and a couple of Margarita's on the rocks. The Fish Tales were great (and great leftovers in an air-fryer), Pulled Pork was OK but nothing special about it and both the sweet potato fries and tater-tots were great and left us full and happy. Clearly a hang-out for lake locals with the convenience to the lake, good food and drinks makes it easy to see why. I'm sure we'll return to explore the menu a bit more.

Great place on the lake. We went after a late soccer game ended so it wasn't quite a lake day, but we still enjoyed this place. It's obviously geared towards a day on the lake as far as drinks go, but they also had some red wine for me to drink :) Additionally, the food was outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it might be OK, but didn't expect it to be soooo good! Service was good. Bartender was attentive and friendly. Ambiance was a good water/lake theme. I'd like to come back in the summer when it's more lively. But no complaints!

Delicious food and great ambiance. Staff is friendly also. I love the hideaway salad with ranch. Will be returning soon!

Holy moly the grouper sandwich is huge and juicy. I could've split it with someone else but was so hungry I almost at the whole thing. It was cooked perfectly and the breading wasn't too thick making it the perfect meal. My husband always gets the tacos you can never go wrong with them. Flavor, toppings, great sauce. We tried the coconut lime mojito and it was like a blended cocktail. Divine! It is a must try.. They have dock access to pull up on a boat as well as parking so it's easily accessible for anyone to come and get a great meal.

It's by far the best! The two owners, Nick and Alison, are the reason for this. They have incredibly high standards and that's reflected in every dish - from the ingredients to the presentation. Every time, we get appetizers, entrees, and dessert (because it's all so delicious), and their cocktail menu just keeps getting better and better. It's been solid since our first visit, but over the past year they tripled the size and elevated the menu so much we think Antebellum now rivals the best cocktail spots in Atlanta! If you live in the area and haven't yet been, or if you're visiting, make a reservation - and be sure to order appetizers, mains, and dessert (and of course cocktails). There's no need to overthink what you order. Every dish and cocktail they serve is exceptional.

But kids don't care much about that. The food was barely ok. However, I personally liked someone else's deep fried Cod & onion straws. They weren't very hungry & im glad they shared. On my bill was myself & 1 other person. We split the Steak Salad & a plate of Beef Nachos for the table. The dressing was fine, the rest was not good. Ordered the steak rare. Steak was med well, tuff, chewy & grisly. If it was tasty I would have only bothered to complain about it only having 2 1/2oz - 3oz of steak. Yeesh!!!!! I was told by 5 people the alcoholic beverages were tasty. I had ice water & I don't remember but I think I also had sweet tea. Other folks ordered appetizers for both tables. They probably should have warned me when I called for a reservation they would be having Song Bingo. All the gal did say was that "we don't take reservations, but they took call-ins". Umm, that's pretty close to a reservation to all of us. Anyway, good luck dinning there. The server was trying hard, I give her kudos. Thank you Miss Shae. Well that's my story.

Pelican Pete's being on the water and making it easy to dock your boat and come on up is suuuper convenient. Who wants to pack a lunch and make room in the cooler? Nobody. That definitely means this place gets busy though. So prepare yourself for possibly a long wait. Some friends and I visited Saturday afternoon. We put our names in for our group (10 of us) and had a wait of an hour. Not horrible. We took a bathroom break and hung out at the boat until it was our time. Pro- the bathroom was surprisingly clean! Con- only 3 stalls so there was a significant line. When we sat down we had to wait a bit to get our orders taken which was a little annoying but there were lots of people there so I'm sure our server was swamped. She was friendly. The food was pretty good! I liked the dock burger that I got. I loved the sauce they put on it, paired really well with the carmelized onions. Fries were awesome! And I loved the Lava Flow drink as well. The way they brought out our food was not the greatest. They had a food runner bringing the plates out and asking the whole table "who ordered the _____" and some of us ordered the same thing without an ingredient so that was a lot of fun for a table of 10. Why not hire more servers and have them bring the food to their own tables? Much better idea especially for larger groups where they know who ordered what. Prices are a little high, especially for things like fish & chips. $24? Kinda weird. Not sure why a burger is $6 less than simple fried fish. Anyway. I know it's on the water and there are costs involved in that, so I won't harp on it too much. I'd happily come back because I enjoyed the food and love how easy it is to come up to it off the water. But it would be really nice if they had more bathrooms and knew who ordered what when they ran food. Oh and if they lowered the price of the seafood.

Stopped in at 5900 Spout Springs Rd for a casual lunch and left seriously impressed. These sandwiches aren't just thrown together; they're loaded and executed perfectly. The Cuban (marinated pork loin, smoked ham, Swiss cheese, spicy mustard, and pickles on a toasted hoagie roll) was a flavor bomb. Look at that cross-section--juicy, tender pork layered thick with ham, melty cheese, and that perfect pickle crunch cutting through the mustard kick. The bread toasted up golden and held everything together without getting soggy. Paired it with fries and a side of ketchup, and it felt like something straight out of a great Cuban spot. Huge portions that actually satisfy. The Classic Reuben on toasted marbled rye was equally stacked: thinly sliced corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss, and 1000 Island dressing. The bread had that ideal crisp exterior with a soft bite, and the fillings were generous and well-balanced--no dry bites here. Came with crispy fries and a side of creamy sauce that tied it all together beautifully. Service was friendly and quick, the atmosphere is that perfect relaxed neighborhood vibe (great for watching a game or just catching up), and the prices are fair for the quality and size you get. In a world full of average bar sandwiches, Crossroads delivers the real deal with fresh ingredients and obvious care. Whether you're craving the tangy, savory Reuben or the bright, porky Cuban, both hit the spot hard. I'll definitely be back. If you're in Flowery Branch, do not sleep on these sandwiches. Highly recommend--5 stars.

Our server seemed to feel we were an inconvenience simply for existing, which added a refreshing level of tension to the meal. It's not every day you get the unique opportunity to listen to your waitress gripe about you while she's still serving your table. Customer engagement at its finest. The food was equally impressive. The shrimp arrived thoughtfully pre-chilled -- perhaps to keep things exciting for the digestive system. Within minutes it gave me a stomach ache, which I assume was the chef's creative interpretation of "interactive dining." My brother ordered the Philly cheesesteak, which had such a powerful effect that he ended up throwing up shortly afterward. It's rare to see food provoke such a strong physical response, so clearly the kitchen knows how to make an impression. Overall, if you've ever wondered what it would be like to combine cafeteria-level cuisine with openly hostile service and a dash of gastrointestinal adventure, this is absolutely the place to go. Truly unforgettable.
