This place has a good location. Right off the water. I do wish I had a better view of it when seating in the back. We had a good server. She made good recommendations. You def cannot go wrong with staring with their infamous fish tails!! I could have taken some of these to go. They came out hot and fresh, well seasoned... just add a little hot sauce and I was good to go. The shrimp tacos came out loaded with shrimp!! I'm never going to say that's not good haha. Good food. Good service. Lots of outdoor seating. Sunny, sandy playground for the littles. I had a burger with excellent asparagus on the side. My wife had a fish sandwich (grouper?) and upgraded her side to a nicer salad. We both liked the food and the shaded outdoor seating. Did not go inside, so I cannot speak to that part of the restaurant. It's on the waterfront, but the views are limited: mostly trees and docked boats, but some water. We visited on a chilly, quiet day and appreciated the restaurant's outdoor setup. The large sandbox, complete with toys, looked like a great spot for kids to play, while the Adirondack chairs surrounding it created a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. There's also a spacious outdoor seating area that I'd love to experience when the weather is warmer. Since it was so cold, we opted to sit inside, where seating is more limited--about seven booths and four tables. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations, including their signature Fish Tales appetizer. The grouper was fresh and served hot, though it lacked a bit of flavor. I'd suggest squeezing the lemon that comes with it and adding a touch of salt to enhance the taste. My husband ordered the fried alligator tail po' boy and really enjoyed the flavor. For our son, we ordered the Fish Tales again since he liked them so much as an appetizer. I went with the popcorn shrimp po' boy, which was perfectly fresh and delicious. Came here for lunch with several coworkers one day. Get outdoor seating area and it looked like a few inside tables as well. They have heaters and fans and most of it is covered, so don't worry about temperature/weather too much. It can easily accommodate a large group, and our server handled our party of 12 like a pro! I got the blackened grouper over rice with sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries!! I could live off those things! Lol the grouper was good. I may ask to skip the rice next time though-- it was just okay. I didn't partake, but they have an extensive drink menu as well! read more

Nice outdoor venue with nice views of Lake Lanier. We had the Tales Fish Fry (fried grouper) with Tater-Tots, and a Pulled Pork Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries, and a couple of Margarita's on the rocks. The Fish Tales were great (and great leftovers in an air-fryer), Pulled Pork was OK but nothing special about it and both the sweet potato fries and tater-tots were great and left us full and happy. Clearly a hang-out for lake locals with the convenience to the lake, good food and drinks makes it easy to see why. I'm sure we'll return to explore the menu a bit more. read more

Great place on the lake. We went after a late soccer game ended so it wasn't quite a lake day, but we still enjoyed this place. It's obviously geared towards a day on the lake as far as drinks go, but they also had some red wine for me to drink :) Additionally, the food was outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it might be OK, but didn't expect it to be soooo good! Service was good. Bartender was attentive and friendly. Ambiance was a good water/lake theme. The atmosphere here is great. Being near the water they have successfully created a vibe reminiscent of places on the water in oceanfront areas like Fort Lauderdale or Naples. I sat at the bar so service was okay. The food is awful. My advice is fire the chef & start over from scratch because it's a great everything except the food. The lobster bisque had no lobster, no flavor. It's what you might expect in a nursing home or hospital. The oysters and shrimp had NO flavor. Both were awful. I probably would not return. read more

Nice atmosphere, good music and overall a pretty good experience. Server was a young girl who was attentive. Only issue was fish serving size in the taco was less than ideal. When I asked if it's generally the same on each order, the server confirmed it was based off weight not "size". I can understand that, so no worries, however I've shared photos of the $14 side of grouper which included 3 full size filets of grouper, and the $17 tacos with 1/3 of the amount of fish, split between two tacos, for $3 more. I've included a fork to give a little idea of the portion sizes, hopefully the aspect ratio makes it easier to visualize. Not necessarily hating on the place, but the fish fish taco portions need to be aligned. I like to assume good intent, so I do hope the portion sizes are weighed, otherwise, a little questionable! read more

She was very informative on helping us with our food and beverage choices. The Cuban sandwich was the best choice. Being a Cuban I've always been very critical of so called "Cuban sandwiches" which use the wrong bread etc but everything about this sandwich was as authentic as you'll get from little Havana.
