The attitudes of the employees here in front of customers especially is disgusting. I am literally in my car writing this review. The blonde older woman working the self checkout registers on Sunday 7/13 around 9:30am proceeded to mock and criticize an elderly man who had brought a large dog inside with him while he was shopping. I didn't see a vest on the dog but it was well behaved and was acting calm like a service animal. If it was an issue there were plenty of times it could have been addressed but he was shopping and had items in his cart already. Her and another woman were talking so catty and loud that I had to listen to it and even shot them a few looks. I've seen this man walking with his dog before along Mundy Mill so I am unsure if he has the means to travel without it or a place to leave it while he is away. No one knows the situation he's in but to hear that coming from employees sounding so catty lacking compassion really disturbed and upset me. I complained to the bearded man at customer service (in front of that employee) but I doubt it will be addressed or that employee will change their condescending behavior to ppl who might be less fortunate . Like I'd said if it was an issue talk to the person about it instead of giggling and mocking them and complaining without actually learning what's going on. Alittle kindness costs nothing but has the biggest payoff. I'd worked at Kroger for 12 years and have been exposed to a variety of people with different situations and backgrounds and given me more empathy for others and emotional intelligence, something that employee and customer obviously lack read more

Let me preface by saying that I have worked for Publix before and I've seen my fair share of terrific stores and some unbelievably subpar stores. But this one takes the cake for how absolutely terrible it is. Usually a store will have one weak department and that's alright, but this store was bad across the board. So bad in fact that I felt the need to make a Yelp account just to warn everyone about this Publix. Deli: Not only gave us the wrong item but also took around 15 minutes to do so (It was a quarter pound of Pepper Jack cheese, he gave us half a pound of Colby Jack). Super slow and very inattentive all around Produce: Multiple things were either out of stock, in the wrong place, or of terrible quality borderline rotting. All the while I see two employees chatting without a care in the world. Meat: Low quality meat with even lower quality packaging, it's like there's no quality control at all over there. Seafood: I didn't go to seafood because by then I gave up on shopping and bought what I had and left to go somewhere else. Grocery: Very similar to Produce. Things were either out of stock, in the wrong place, or not stocked correctly. Employees were unhelpful to say the least when I asked for help with finding some items. Bakery: The bakery was actually pretty decent but understaffed. Probably the best department in the store by a landslide. Props to the lone worker for going out of their way to help me find something in the deli, a completely different department, that I was looking for because no one in the deli helped me or knew what I was looking for. Customer Service: Average, took them awhile to checkout the person in front of us. But they were friendly and overall I don't have much to complain about here. Management really needs to intervene and fix this mess of a Publix. Needless to say I'd recommend finding a different Publix to shop at because this one does not cut it in the slightest. read more

Publix is a wonderful market. This store in particular has great produce, and a great staff. The deli and bakery are on par with the best of them. Great service from the Pharmacy too. The one thing that keeps them from 5 stars is they don't do lunch well. They have super food, its that it takes too long to get what you need and get checked out. During lunch hours they need two sandwich stations. And more cashiers during 11-1:00 lunch rush. Sure you can pre order a sub which is good. Truth be told 90% of subs are walk up orders, And then jockey for a check out for 8-10 minutes like I did last visit. Just a observation. Wow. I had not been in a Publix in so long I forgot how much more expensive they are while having about half of the selection as some of the other grocery stores. We stopped in one day this week for the sake of convenience to pick up a few things - I ended up totally freaking out about how much more they were on the same items versus WalMart, Kroger, or Ingles. Meat selection? None. Zippo. Nada. No wonder I drive right on by this place when we're going to get groceries or planning an afternoon on the grill. read more

I love publix as I shop at the Suwanee location all the time. However due to being in the area at the time I stopped in here for my weekly groceries. Disappointed is an understatement!! Everything is more expensive and not as good of quality as I normally find. I bought fresh ribs and got home to find they were spoiled what a waste of money. Publix always has the best meat dept but not at this store. I will not be back as the prices are too high and the meat dept not up to my standards. read more

I had a very mixed experience with the bakery, which in the end turned out to be OK. But the last minute scramble was very distressing for me. The experience started out with a cake order placed in the middle of April for a 40th birthday cake that I needed on 5/7. So this was a pretty far in advance order. I went in and paid for the cake in person on April 26, and I checked the order information over for accuracy while I was there (we've all read the horror stories about bakeries who put random stuff in the icing writing, etc, right?). Anyhow, all seemed fine. At the same time I dropped off and paid for a bunch of specialty balloons to be inflated on the 7th as well, and picked up along with the cake. All went very smoothly with this process. The morning of the surprise party, at about 7:45am, I called the bakery to confirm that the cake would be ready by 10:00. And at that point I was told that they couldn't find a record of an order for me. I'll admit that I was probably not as polite as I could have been at this point. They took my information for the order a second time, and I called the person I had designated to pick up the cake in an utter panic. She has worked in retail, and I had her call the store back to get to the bottom of the issue, and meanwhile I called to confirm that they hadn't also lost my balloons. The balloons were fine. The call I received back after my friend spoke to the store manager was that there had been some sort of issue with the printer and my order had not printed that morning. The printer issue was resolved, and when my friend arrived to pick up the cake, the colors were wrong. This was never actually communicated to me by anyone (thankfully) as I was already really stressed out. My friend handled the situation, and worked with the bakery manager to get the cake fixed, and the bakery manager himself drove the cake to the park where the party was taking place before I ever arrived with the guest of honor. So all-in-all, the story has a happy ending. I am very thankful for the effort put in by the bakery manager to get the cake to the party before I arrived with the birthday guest. But the events leading up to it were what caused him to have to do that in the first place, which is what brings my review down a bit. The cake itself was delicious and it looked good. But the day was quite a bit more stressful due to the confusion and such that took place. read more

Cashier not helpful. Too bad. Nice store. Everyone helpful. Go to the 2 on Spout Springs. They not only put groceries n cart but tell you that they are willing to take to car. At this one no one offers to do anything. They leave them for you to pick and put in cart. Not a big deal unless you are used to the excellent customer care you get at the other two stores. read more

I have been going to this Publix for years! Today I got the worst customer service! I asked if they could order an item they didn't carry in this store. The girl at customer service acted like I inconvenienced her with my request. The grocery manager would not even take the time to speak with me. After I had already walked the store 3 times trying to make sure my item wasn't in the deli or cold section. The manager over bakery took the time to help me look. She was super nice to go out of her way. One of the boys stocking shelves even walked with me before I went to customer service. Publix is the best. I love this store because when I normally go shopping it isn't too busy. The store manager is nice. The bakery does great work as does the produce department. I love the fact that if you order your baby's first birthday cake they will make a smash cake for you for free. I am a loyal Publix shopper and love using coupons plus the coupons from the green and purple flyers. I took a star away because not all the front end staff know the coupon rules, including management. read more

I have shopped at this location for the last 10 years. The staff is great and they always are friendly. I have price shopped them vs. our local Walmart. I find all their items are the same price and with the double coupons and their coupons, I spend less than any other store. Not only that, the customer service can not be beat. I have gotten ground beef at Walmart and Ingles and found grit in their meat. I have never found meat to be nothing but fresh at Publix. I am a happy customer and will continue to shop there weekly. read more

The employees are generally very polite and happy to help customers find what they are looking for. The deli and bakery departments are absolutely amazing! The deli and fruits and vegetables are always good quality. Prices are a little bitter higher but they do have some good coupons and BOGOs. That being said, the carryout policy is extremely irritating. The baggers or managers who are helping bag will get in my personal space and insist on taking my groceries out, even if I have a very small order. I understand some people need the help or just enjoy having someone else carry it out, but there is no need to ask MULTIPLE times or try to talk me out of it. Moreover, some of these employees will put their hands on my cart almost as if they are trying to pull the cart away from me. It is especially frustrating for introverts like myself and my spouse, who do not like people getting in our personal space... A couple of employees who did this also smelled bad... Do they honestly believe this is good customer service? They also seem to have a very high turnover at that location, which leads me to wonder if the management and/or salaries are poor. Overall, the products are a good quality and employees are generally nice and helpful. But please, stop insisting to take customers' orders out. It's just uncomfortable. read more
