My cat, Charlie is a big part of our family and we took him to Kitties and Kanines today because he hasn't ate or drank anything in 3 days, I was able to squirt some Pedialyte in his mouth last night, he has lost so much weight, his coat is dull looking where it's usually shiny and he's shedding an ungodly amount, I explained this to the nurse, Daisy when we went into the exam room, she was very rude, and lifted up on the nape of his neck and said well he has to be eating something because he's not dehydrated, Charlie is not even moving, barely has the energy to lift his head up, she was very argumentative with me, did not want to listen and we all know that if you love your animal then you know your animal and you can tell when they're sick or something is wrong and you want to know that when you have to take them to get checked out, you want it to be with someone who you trust has your animals best intentions and someone who actually listens to you because no one knows your animal like you do, the last thing you need is someone telling you that your animal is eating when you know otherwise. Evidently the actual vet thought different about him being dehydrated because they gave him fluids. XxI have been to this clinic a few times and haven't had a bad experience until today, the ladies up front are super nice and there was also a nurse named Alex who was very nice and very informative when it came to Charlie. If I would have to guess, I would say that I'm not the first person who has had a bad experience with Daisy, but hopefully I am the last... Please learn some manners because this has made me second guess bringing any of my animals back here if there is people like Daisy that is supposed to be caring for them.

He has to pre book. with Cami because she is in high demand. Yes ...you heard right. ...I did the dogs haircuts because I am a professional groomer. I know quality and skill when I see it. When I did the dogs haircuts they were angels, which speaks to the work Cami does here. I can tell when a previous groomer is kind or cruel to a dog. On a side note, Cami took a call of mine a couple years back and let me pick her brain about grooming here in Oklahoma. She was incredibly patient and insightful. Her daughter also works here apparently and is clearly trained right. I'm guessing they both have hands on all of the dogs. What a rocking team these two women are. All I can say is I am impressed and refreshed by your hard work, professionalism and character. Thank you ladies from myself and my Dad

I've been using Labahns for 73 years. That's 3/4th of a century! WOW! I've seen a lot of changes…read moreand met a lot of vets. I took my dog in last week for a dental cleaning. They gave me an estimate before I took her in, and knew what the charges were going to be. Dr Hillard had to do a couple of procedures that weren't added to the estimate, so she didn't charge me for them, for that I am very grateful. I'm living on social security, and I have to save up before I can bring in my baby girl. Dr. Hillard saved me about $200.00. I've been with friends that used different vets and the prices at Labahns are comparable with other Vet clinics. I am very pleased with the way they treat my dogs and will continue to use Labahns as long as I can drive the distance. Dr. Hillard, if you are reading this, I want you to know how much I really appreciate you and your staff. If you decide to expand and put in a clinic in Van Buren, I'll be first in line at your door. When we got there for his appointment at 8AM, they had no record of his appointment and had to go ask the owner, Kylie, what happened. I had rescheduled from Monday due to a conflict, but spoke with Kylie directly over the phone that same morning. They had all week to document that I was coming on Friday instead. Once we got that cleared up, Kylie assured me how much she and her staff care for their clients and how they strive to be the best groomer in Fort Smith. When they finally called me at 3:02PM to tell me Hunter was ready, I drove over from the Braum's on Zero Street. I arrived at 3:18 to find a tired looking but very clean and well groomed boy. I'll say that much. They are capable groomers, and do a nice job on their clients. My dog looks great. But I found out how Hunter's stay went 10 minutes later when we stopped at Ed Walker's Drive-In for an after-grooming hamburger (I know, I spoil my dog ). Imagine my surprise when Hunter gulped down two entire 32oz cups of water in record time, and would've gone for a third if I hadn't stopped him for fear he'd make himself throw up. No dog does that unless they've really been neglected. So thankful to the waitress there who saw him quaffing down water from through the window and brought out two more cups for him. But back to Pawsi. While they're competent groomers, and nice enough people, they're very scattered and disorganized. I'm sure anybody who loves dogs even a little has the good sense to know they need water. Likely this was a case of everybody thinking somebody else brought the dogs water and nobody did. But because of this experience, I wouldn't take Hunter back here, and can't recommend them either. They may be the best Fort Smith has to offer, but that's setting the bar really low.

From the first time we walked in, the staff greeted us by name and got down on Prissy's level to make her feel safe and welcome. She is usually shy in new places, but she warmed up quickly, which told me a lot about how gentle and patient everyone is there. The facility is always clean, well organized, and it actually smells fresh--not like a kennel. I love that they separate dogs by size and temperament and keep a close eye on playtime. When Prissy goes to daycare, I know she isn't just being "stored" in a crate; she's playing, exploring, and getting loving attention throughout the day. She comes home happy, tired in the best way, and never stressed. Communication is excellent, too. The staff lets me know how her day went, who she played with, and if they notice anything about her behavior or health that I should be aware of. That kind of attention to detail gives me a lot of peace of mind. The only negative is that I need someone to watch her during church services. thank you.
