I am even more of a fan, during the pandemic. While their incredible selection and wonderful customer service has always been great, their concerns for employees and customers make Fisher's even more of a favorite. Almost everyone is wearing a mask, both employees and customers alike. Customers are mostly careful to maintain distance, especially while waiting to check out. Most of the liquor stores in Fruita are Covid central, with no masks. I'd rather take the short drive and spend my money at a business that takes care of its people. read more

Largest selection of EVERYTHING booze-wise in the GeeJ. They also feature a bunch of local CO brews. In the can, Sam I Am, or in the bottle, if you lack crushing throttle. Their checkers walk around with headsets... which is a little disarming, but hey, 'clean up on isle 5' never looked so 'Mission Impossible'. I called the liquor store to have some wine delivered to my daughter for Christmas, planning to send a goodie basket from Harry and David. Well, employee Megan sprang in to action! She acted like a personal shopper, selected (gluten free) goodies for me from your market and put together a gift basket with the wine, and then had it delivered same day. We want to thank Donna, Veronica, Scott, Brandi and the gang at Fisher's. They catered our (remote) Ranch Wedding in September 2020. It consisted of a fabulous BBQ meal with brisket, pulled pork, corn, rolls and a salad. There was a delicious homemade dessert bar. The cakes were amazing. Scott hosted our bar and that was great as well. Donna kept in touch with us from the point we met all the way until after the event. First off, I came out here from Utah on a beer run. I had special ordered 6 cases of a seasonal beer because it's a hard to find craft beer. The called me six days ago saying they were able to get it for me so I made an order and told them I wouldn't be able to come until Monday to get it. I come in today to find out they didn't have it anymore. Without even an apology. I would actually give them zero stars but it isn't an option. I'll never come to Fisher's Liquor Barn again, from now on I'll only deal with Andy's. At least they hold on to beer that I order. And Andy's has 10% off craft beers on Mondays. I've been coming to Fisher's for over 4 years now, but after today I will not be returning. Good selection, decent prices, close to my house, but the employees have always been rude and condescending. My first time in here, I walked up to the counter with my product, and started to say "Hey how are you?" But was immediately interrupted by the employee rudely saying "I.D. please!" This was the first of many rude interactions, but today was the last. Walked in early on a Sunday. Two employees looked at me, and kept talking to each other. No problem, this is per usual here. Picked out my beer and went to check out. Instead of saying "Hey, how are you today?" the lady at the register immediately asked for my I.D. Showed her my I.D. in my wallet window, and right away she demands "Take it out". Okay, no one ever asks that over the four years I've been coming here, but no problem. She proceeds to bend my I.D. Card every which way while looking me up and down THREE TIMES. I am 26 years old. She also left creases in my I.D., which isn't easy to do. I payed my bill and walked out without so much as a thank you or have a good day. You are still in a customer service industry I don't care how big your liquor store is. Even though the employees have their little ear headphones and act like it's rocket science, they are still liquor store employees who are supposed to serve the customer. You've lost a customer for life, and I will tell anyone who asks. read more

My parents anniversary is on a monday and wanted to bring them a bottle of champagne. However, I do not arrive in the local area until a Sunday and did not want to fly with a $200 bottle. I did an online order for local delivery. It was delivered today (of course with someone there to sign), I had asked for it to be covered so they wouldnt be able to snoop and they wrapped it in tissue paper and put a bow on it. They have impeccable customer service! Their website was easy to maneuver and they had everything that I could want. I am extremely impressed. read more

It's 120+ mile round trip. Said we got our 10 % discount, end of statement. Hell, we can get better service for returning items at Walmart. Just tried to buy a six pack with my brother in law. We are both 34 years old and look like it. He didnt have his identification and they wouldnt sell us the beer. Its a silly law but understandable. The problem is the guy at the checkout was an old scrawny power trippy douche bag putts with stupid camo pants and he obviously took joy in inconveniencing us. I got lots of choices to buy beer. Fisher's should drop the 'Discount' from their sign out front. While they do have sales occasionally, they only target spirits or beer that haven't seen their desired volume movement on, or popular brands they can buy in bulk and blow out. At least that's been my experience. Rarely have I walked out of their with my brands thinking, wow, that purchase felt good. Their every day prices are almost always 100% MSRP so when you take a couple bucks off it and advertise that, well yeah, it kind of looks like they're giving you a deal, but they're not. My wife and I moved from Denver 3 years ago and we're used to shopping at the giant liquor stores in and around the metro area. The difference between them and Fisher's is that the giant liquor stores' everyday prices are almost always below MSRP any given day of the week, and you can find wicked deals at the giant liquor stores, like ALL Bourbon 20% off! Stuff like that. Here, you can find a 'deal' on, oh wow, a 750 of Jack Daniels, which is swill and not worth the sale price, let alone the MSRP. Also, there is no rewards or loyalty program to build loyalty and to get a little back. And they don't price match. I just found Lagavulin 16-year Scotch delivered for $87, and it's everyday price at Applejack in Wheatridge is $85. I contacted Fishers and asked if they would come down on their $108.99 bottle and they said no. Now I'll have to just stock up when I go to Denver, or get it online and save $25 per bottle. They have a monopoly in one of the most drinking-ist towns in Colorado and they know it. The locals walk in and are wowed by the size of the place and the selection, but that's were the comparisons to the real giant liquor stores end. My friend and I were preparing a special dinner of Cioppino and went to Fisher's for some vino to accompany it. We came across Mike and asked for help. He was very thorough, asking about the ingredients and preparation of the meal. When told, he recommended a wine from France but realizing that it was a complex meal, he confirmed with both the owner and Manager on his choice. Both agreed on his selection, so we purchased 2 bottles. The pairing was right on and it added much enjoyment to our meal. A bonus was that the wine was reasonably priced and on sale!
