The rib tips are hit or miss. I like the better one they're on McKinley Avenue in Mishawaka and they are located now in South Bend. Their food was better when it was at the McKinley location. I never had hard drive ripped tips there. read more

Had the pulled pork sandwich; it was incredibly tasty. Meat was flavorful and tender, with no fat. Sauce was sweet and tangy. Bun was very soft. I also ordered fries. They were crisp and not greasy. Man I love this place!! The food is absolutely delish. My favs are the soul food Saturday's they make the most flavorful greens and the bbq chicken melts in ur mouth! I also love the pulled pork sandwich and I always get coleslaw and add it to the sandwich. Fisher's tips n chips is where I go to get my BBQ fix. My grandfather is from the south and doesn't BBQ as much because of his age, so when I'm in the mood for some BBQ and soul food (and I don't feel like making anything) I go to fisher's tips n chips. Fishers tip n chips is family owned (which I love), they make their food fresh, and their food isn't mass produced or processed. Which is how I think all restaurants should be. Their food is great, and has a down home (soul food) taste to it. One thing I love about their menu is their deserts. They have fresh made PEACH COBBLER, and CHEESE CAKE!!!! And it tastes like my grandma made it!!! Not shipped in on a truck pre frozen, and processed!!! Fisher's tips n chips can be a lil pricey, that is if you want to pig out, or get a large order.... but they have great down home style food, and their food is worth it. read more

If you are on the north side, this is a good bbq option. I have only had the ribs and the rib tips. Both were outstanding. Way back, I did get an order of ribs that were under cooked, but that was years ago. Sauce is good. The only downside is that you sorta got to go on the weekend if you want access to the whole menu. I was at there new location on McKinley on 8/15 they were lined up on McKinley waited in line on McKinley 20 minutes and the line ONLY moved 3 cars. Meanwhile cars were stuck in line unable to get to the outside lane cars where unable to turn into TCU all the while cars where driving by honking and giving the middle finger. If they can only take care of 3 cars in 20 minutes they need to get new staff or close down Cars being lined up on McKinley is a accident waiting to happen. The police should have a talk with them! read more

Man I wanted to love this place. The reviews were great. We drove up and down the street 3 times before we found it. Both of us ordered the medium tips and chips - I also got a sausage. The sauce was good, which gets the one star, and the sausage was good, which gets another. But man the rest of it was just to difficult to eat. Possibly the worst plate of so-called meat I've ever had. Struggled to find something edible on some of the bigger tips, and ate my fill. Later that night I woke up, stomach bloated - sweating profusely - absolutely sure I was going to be seeing that meal again. I willed my stomach to settle down and slept for another 30 minutes. Woke again - same thing - eventually I was able to sleep until morning. I don't think this was your typical case of the 'meat sweats' - I think there was something 'off' in the food. It took a couple of days for the after-effects to subside. Needless to say at this point, but next time I'll visit the Wendy's or Steak & Shake rather than this place. Sorry. read more

If you are a rib tip fan this is the place to go. Very generous portions. I ordered the medium tip dinner which has 20 pieces, cole slaw, chips and a drink....$11. Very disappointed with the "combo" chicken today. It tasted old, smelled and tasted like a refrigerator- week old, very dry chicken! The tips were delicious and fresh tasting. The chicken was terribly old, I've cooked long enough to know it was refrigerated for quite a while! We had lots of combos with chicken at Kulzer LlC. and the chicken was fresh and juicy! This chicken was terrible. I'm VERY disappointed knowing what my Husband paid! Will not be back for the combo/ chicken! read more

Enjoyed my lunch of Fisher's today. Got the Monster tips for my girlfriend and me and I must say they are the best bar-b-que ribs I have ever eaten. The flavor is exquisite, the portion generous for the price and service was impeccable. Been eating their ribs since they were a small trailer in the gas station parking lot and will continue to eat them now that they are in a building. Highly recommend for your rib pleasure. read more

This place has the most amazing bbq I have ever had! They cook it fresh every day. They get the meat fresh daily. I am so impressed with the quality of the food. It is hard to find a place where they take pride in what they are cooking and serving but these folks do! They are also the kindest people I have met!
