Very poor and unreliable service - does not stand by his work. Tried to fix a shattered glass door. Delivered the glass door partially complete, came back to try to fix it and it still didn't work. He told me "this job is a headache!" but he said "I'll stop by when I'm in your area." Gave this same answer every time I called for four weeks..he never show'd up. read more

John was 1 1/2 hours late to our first appointment to measure a piece glass. After several calls to his office and cell (unanswered) he finally arrived and took his measurements - no apologies for being so late. When the glass arrived 2 weeks later we made an appointment to do the installation. The plan was that he would call me on his way to confirm his arrival time (because I would need to come home from work to meet him and I was trying to avoid sitting around waiting for him again) and when the call came in (an hour after the tentative appointment time) he explained that he had been at my house waiting for me for some time and because I wasn't there, he left without being able to complete the installation. He now wanted full payment for the installation ($180) and explained that I could reschedule for him to come back to install the glass but I would have to pay the full install price again - another $180. Not a fair way to treat a customer who waited patiently when John was so late the first time. Would never use him again. BTW, he kept the glass which I had paid for ahead of time ($80) and I am now looking for someone else to do the work. read more

If you need to have a windshield replaced in your car, DO NOT GO HERE! I brought in a '04 Honda Element in for a cracked windshield in July so I could pass inspection. After replacement, Not only did it leak in rainy weather, but after returning the car to them, they told me the "weep holes" were blocked, and the installation was according to specs. I brought the car to a Honda dealership this week to have an airbag recall addressed. They told me the windshield had not only been installed in correctly, but they used all of the wrong parts, including windshield and seals. My insurance company already paid them, so I have no recourse other than to tell you this is not a reputable business. High prices and NO integrity! Avoid at all costs! Thomas H. read more

So this place is small and the owner is not the friendliest of guys but he knows what he's doing and has a good staff. I obtained a quote for a large broken Anderson window from another glass place in Wappingers Falls, which was double the cost. Additionally, the other place quoted me a longer delivery/installment time, than Fishkill Plate Glass. The installers who came to my home to install the new window were professional, fast and left no mess. My window is good a new! Now if I could just keep the stupid birds from flying into the window that would be great! I would highly recommend Fishkill Plate for any glass needs. read more

I read a "not so flattering" review from a couple of years ago about this company and I, therefore, felt compelled to write this review. I completed a bathroom renovation recently. I had used this company many, many years ago to repair screen windows but I have never used them for glass. I decided to stay local. They were awesome. They consulted on the job and advised me of my options. They ordered me exactly what I wanted. The glass arrived within the promised timeline. During the installation process there were a couple of glitches (due to construction of house, not them) so they kept me in the loop and offered me a couple of solutions to correct the problem; some would have forged ahead without consulting home owner. The installation process was very clean and professional. I was told to call them if there were any problems and I was warned that there may be some minor issues. There was a minor issue. I called and they responded immediately and corrected the problem. My overall experience with company and installers, John and Fred, was wonderful. They are extremely experienced and knowledgeable. Back in the shop, the staff was a pleasure to work with as well. The price was very competitive and my bathroom looks great. I would recommend this company without hesitation. read more
