I dropped off a dress for my daughter Saturday before noon. I told them she was flying to Paris early Tuesday morning and they told me it would be ready at 6 pm Monday at the latest. I called Monday afternoon and was told between 5:30 pm and 6 pm. My youngest daughter went to pick it up at 5:45 pm and the dress wasn't there. She was told it was on a truck but they didn't know when it would arrive. Finally at 6:20 pm the truck arrived and she got the dress. When she got home with it the stain was still on it. Exactly how it was when I dropped it off. They also say same day service on their websites but that only applies to this location as we found out when we went to a closer location as was told they didn't have one day service as advertised. brought in sheep skin rugs to be cleaned and refreshed. spoke to customer service who confirmed they were capable of doing such a service which clearly they were not. I had don plenty of research on how to clean and care for the rug and it was returned nothing like a proper cleaning should encompass. the rugs were matted and ruined. if I wanted them to be shoved in a washer and hung to dry I would have saved my money and done it myself. not impressed read more

It is 21-October-2021, 12 :05 pm, we called Customer Services phone line 403-228-6995. My call was answered by a very rude and unfriendly female individual. Not receptive at all and would definitely be a liability to this company. She refused to answer the simple question about the delivery that is scheduled today and even said she's not the driver, so how would she know. We said that she should know because she's the customer rep. She's so insensitive, she hung up the phone on me. I'm a first time customer and would definitely not use Fishman anymore for any future dry cleaning job unless this woman is given some disciplinary action or something is done to address the matter. I preamble my review by saying that this review is based upon one single visit for one single garment. But it was a very important and very soiled garment. Also, I dropped off and picked up at one of their remote locations, not the 17th Avenue location, not that that would be especially relevant. I was recently gifted with a 70+-year-old hand-made wool sweater (the kind that zips up and has moose and trees on it) which had belonged to my grandfather. It was brown with cigarette smoke from decades of being in homes that contained smoke. I figured there was little chance it would look new again, but asked them to get it as good as they could, even if they had to clean it 3 or 4 times. My ma asked me how much they were going to charge. I told her I didn't know since I didn't ask, and didn't know if they'd clean and re-clean it trying to get it right. She figured it'd probably be very expensive. I concurred. "Forty dollars," I said. "Maybe eighty if they do it a few times, I dunno." I picked it up the very next day. It was almost perfectly clean. There was a slight, slight bit of discoloration left right along the fold of the collar, but otherwise looked like it was genuinely new. As for the price, they did tack on an extra charge since it's a big and bulky sweater. That extra charge was $1.00. For a total of $11.00. read more

I haven't used another dry cleaner in the city in the two years I've been in Alberta from Vancouver...so take this as you may. Good service, friendly staff and the one on 17th is a pretty decent location. I have had a few mix ups that they fixed and were pretty attentive about. I've had regular dry cleaning as well as new zippers and repairs done here and they do a good job. Priced fairly and the service is pretty quick. I am going to look into their drop off/pick up service since we live in Bragg Creek but our office is in the City...might not leave clothes there for weeks at a time that way. You can ask them for the reusable bag too - I hate seeing all those plastic bags being used up....maybe they would switch to corn-based products? read more

Fishman's is very expensive. I am typically willing to pay for quality and service; however, after giving them a chance on 5+ separate occasions, I won't be going back. The clasp on two articles of clothing were crushed and required replacing after two different visits. That was very frustrating after having something cleaned and expecting to be able to wear it, but instead having to go back again and wait a few days to have it replaced. The individual I dealt with was very unapologetic about the situation. A skirt I took twice was put on a clamp hanger, which left adhesive marks long the waist line that I had to remove after both cleanings. A blazer was returned to me hanging off-center on a large hanger, which left a big dimple on the one shoulder/sleeve. Not impressed. Won't be back. read more

Take your dry cleaning and RUN as FAST and FAR away from Fishmans as you can!!! I recently took (very expensive custom made, silk) drapes there. The drapes were 7 years old and in perfect condition. They totally destroyed them, and not just one small rip. A representative from Fishmans called me and told me they were sun damaged and attempted to absolve the company from and responsibility and/or liability (funny thing, there was no mention of ANY damage of any sort when I took the drapes there). He also told me that they, Fishmans, don't carry liability insurance. What kind of organization takes no responsibility for their service, AND doesn't even carry liability insurance in the event that they do something wrong? I will NEVER take anything there. read more

Awful service, have always been a loyal customer taking all my dry cleaning here. Thought I would try the shoe shine and cleaning service, what a bad idea. Shoes were late two times, did not have available for an important work conference. When I returned home Fishman's still made me pay for one pair, only to find my blundstones ruined - see photo, will never be returning. read more

I can't say enough about how impressed I am with the quality of the cleaning and exceptional service from Fishman Personal Care Cleaners. As a busy working mom Fishman's offers door to door, pick up and drop off service which just takes one more thing off my to do list! On top of that the dry cleaning is exceptional ! They use a green dry cleaning approach which is 100% solvent free and way better for the environment. I even had my white carpet in my home office cleaned and was blown away by the stains they were able to remove!! I also love Fishman's sustainability clothing program which promotes alterations and repairs of garments in your closet which you can customize  for the perfect fit! I have had jeans, tops and so many of my dresses altered and literally feel like I got a new wardrobe!! I went to this dry cleaners for years when i lived downtown and they were excellent. Once a dress got ruined and they helped get it sent back to the manufacturer to prove it was their fault. They had labelled it green when it should have been labelled yellow to show that more care needed to be taken due to the type of fabric. The store i purchased it at had to refund me for the dress. I was glad the dry cleaners had a lot of knowledge. The owner cared about his business. But........this past few months my items have been coming back looking like they were not cleaned at all. First a pair of Black pants were still dirty and then a cushion pillowcase had a stain still on it. (it was brand new other than a small peppermint tea stain on it) Usually they will let you know if they are unsuccessful with a note on the item.. This makes me think they did not clean it, only a quick iron. I cold not smell the usual cleaning smell that dry cleaned items have. They also have a parking problem with a security guy watching every car - people are parking there and going to other places. I didn't know which spot was the correct one and i wanted to run across the street to oick up a pizza after i picked up my cleaning. I didn't like being watched and approached when i was in a hurry. A young man approached me and told me stories of towing people,etc. he seemed to enjoy towing people, this did not i improve my day. I think i will find a place where i am not watched and i know my clothing will be clean. It is sad as i loved this dry cleaners until all of this. For these reasons i cannot give them a good rating right now. If i feel service improves, i will review them again. read more

Highway robbery! Over $21 per suit jacket. The front desk clerk didn't even know the price. Told us 'about' $16 per jacket [which is still very high]. Left three jackets anyway. At pick up, we complained about the unexpected total of the bill. She said it had worked out to 'about' $17 per jacket. Not true, of course. When we got home and did the math it turned out to be over $21 per jacket. No price list on the wall. Stay away unless you have deep pockets that need to 'dry cleaning.' read more

Started out ok. Pricey but convenient. They missed my drop off more than once. At one point it was critical I get my dry cleaning as I had an important event to attend. So I called and the person on the phone said they "forgot about me". I asked if they could drop it off now and she said she would call me back. Didn't hear back from them until the following week. No apology or anything of the sort. However they were very prompt in calling me back to pay my bill when my credit card number changed. Good at cleaning clothes. Very good experience - needed a 24 hour turnaround on the dry cleaning of a sleeping bag. After phoning several other dry cleaners and being told they couldn't help me, Fishman's called me back. The representative (Carla?) was very helpful - she said she'd already confirmed they could clean the sleeping bag in time, and had been in touch with the location I specified (Bow building) to tell them to expect me. The attendant at the Bow building location (Christine?) even called me the next day to let me know the sleeping bag was ready for pickup earlier than expected. Very high marks for customer service, both ladies were a pleasure to deal with, and the price was quite reasonable for a rush order. read more

Horrible! It's like they have never pressed a business suit before. I dropped an expensive suit off to be dry cleaned and when I picked it up they had pressed the pants with a crease on the side instead of in front! When I pointed it out to them, they said that I must have asked to it to be done improperly! The jacket was also pressed so that the lapels were elongated below one of the buttons, making it impossible to do up. When I went back the third time, one lapel was corrected but the other was done the same way again and the button was pressed into the front of the jacket, leaving a depression! Aargh. (I should note that this is a regular mens wool Valentino business suit, not some crazy side-creased, backwards-buttoned, uneven-lapeled circus costume!) PS - Try Wild Rose Cleaners or Valiant Cleaners instead. They do a much better job and are less expensive. read more

We use and need good dry cleaning services every week (and willing to spend the money). We have experienced great service across Alberta and BC and I would rate Fishmans' as the worst dry cleaners we have every dealt with particularly when it comes to customer service, losing articles, sending us others' clothing, poor finish, and in general, attention to details. Their drop off and pick up service is excellent and very convenient. Their in-store service is BEYOND BAD. Whoever is training the staff including management needs to take a good hard look at their processes and ability to treat customers appropriately, in a timely fashion, and in a manner that fosters loyalty. We have just returned to Calgary and thought we would give Fishman's a second chance, and perhaps they had learned from their poor performance and our poor experience with them in the past. Not so. Not only have Fishman's not learned, they are even worse now and they charge a lot of money. Very unhappy and disgruntled customer who was willing to give the a second chance. AD read more

Beware! They do as they please with your clothes and turn around to blame you for it. I dropped off my Drycleaning here and asked the girl at the front when i can come pick it up. Somehow, WITHOUT me asking for it to be delivered and WITHOUT me paying for the Drycleaning, my clothes got delivered to my old address and subsequently got stolen. What do they do, they blame me for this. They say I should have updated my address on their files. I DID NOT ASK FOR MY CLOTHES TO BE DELIVERED! If I wanted it delivered why won't I give a new address...does that even make sense?! I HAD NOT EVEN PAID FOR THE DRYCLEANING SO WHY WERE MY CLOTHES SENT OUT FOR DELIVERY. Chemen tried to give me other people's clothes to replace mine. My blazers and pant and that shirt were all bout from the UK! You want me to take second hand clothes?! Tasha Fishman tells me "You were very fortunate that Chemen opted to give you some custom altered blazers left behind....this was not our responsibility.... this was yours" Wow! Instead of owning your own mistake? Why will you deliver drycleaning without the permission of the owner? Where in the world is this right? read more

Abysmal service, bordering on crooked. The first time I went, they switched my shoes with someone else's, and tried to convince me that I was lying or just didn't know what my own shoes looked like. The second time, they asked me to leave my shoes with them in a cloth shopping bag, then didn't return the bag. When I told them that my bag was missing, they wouldn't make any effort to find it, or offer any kind of discount. If you do drop anything off, be prepared to not get it back. read more

If you want to have your clothes come back burned, have big burn holes in them, and almost always be a guarantee there's an issue,then you've come to the right place! Not only will they do this, but they will make more then happily take your money for the service and not refund you, for burning your clothes and make you feel like a valuable customer! ( I hope you can sense the sarcasm) long story short, I have been coming to Fishmans for over 15 years. During that time, it was amazing. Never have I had an issue with this business. But maybe with management or new workforce, it has changed me from a loyal client to making sure I never come back. I hope this business sees this review because I was extremely disappointed in how I was treated. And it was not just one item of clothing that was damaged. It was several. If i'm paying premium prices, then I expect the clothes not to be burned! Over and over again! The first time it happened, they paid for replacing it. Then when it happened again, the manager was extremely rude and told me the pants I had were cheap. I get my work clothes from holt and being told that my high-end clothing is "cheap" did not help the situation. Also the blinding burned sheen from my pants; they said the could fix it. Umm I don't think you can fix something that's already burned. I have clients who have stopped going to Fishmans because they have had issues with this business too. So Fishmans, I really hope your reading this, because whoever was running your place before, GET THEM BACK! Because you guys use to be the place to go to for Drycleaning. Now it's kind of joke. So I hope you take this as a learning experience and never treat someone else like I was treated. Oh!
