It's been almost two years to the day since I first walked in the door at Fit360, and I can honestly say that it has changed my life. Before my first Fit360 class, I could count on one hand the number of times I'd ever visited a gym. A friend nagged me into trying out Fit360, and on a whim, I agreed, not know then that over time, I would come to consider it the most important element of my day-to-day life! During my first Fit360 class, I struggled to lift a 10lb kettlebell over my head. Two years later and I'm lifting 3x that, and it's hard for me to go more than a day or two without a class! Fit360 is awesome because of Brian McGee. Some things that I have learned about Brian in the last two years are: - He is welcoming to ALL levels of fitness, from complete beginners (like me) who are starting from scratch, to strong athletes who want to challenge themselves further, and everything in between. - He keeps the classes small (12 people maximum, and usually more like 4 to 8) so that he can provide everyone with individual attention. He really makes a point to make sure that everyone understands and is doing each movement correctly, and offers particular attention to people who are newer to the gym, which I found to be hugely helpful and confidence-boosting when I first started coming to his classes. - He is cognizant of injuries and illnesses, and will come up with adjustments to exercises on-the-spot to accommodate the varying needs of the class participants. - He tailors each class to the fitness levels of the specific people that are in it. I don't know how he does it, because it seems as though he always has a detailed workout planned out for each class, but it's clear that he adjusts each class to its participants. - Even after two years, the classes are never the same. Brian is always learning and challenging himself and others with new ways of exercising and pushing the body in new directions. I get frustrated with exercise classes that require you to do the same exercises over and over - Brian always keeps things moving and rarely repeats an exercise in a class, so you always feel energized and excited for what's next. - He has a total body approach to fitness. Rather than focusing on exercising a single muscle group at a time, Brian incorporates a wide range of movements and exercises into each class, so that you always leave knowing that you've had a full body workout. - He is such a nice guy! And since Fit360 is such a small and friendly gym, you really feel like you're part of a warm community, which is a great motivating factor to keep going back. Everything in my life is better because of Fit360. As a direct result of Brian's classes, I have more motivation and energy to bring to all the other aspects of my life, and I'm so grateful for that. If you're looking for an elite, community-centered gym that will push you towards your fitness goals, you've found it in Fit360 DC! DC is inundated with every kind of fitness class and gym you can imagine. There are the Crossfit gyms, the Soulcycles and Flywheels, and even boutique gyms. But Fit360 is different. First off, it's more than just a gym, it's a community. You don't just come here, work out, and leave. Each time you walk through the doors, you are greeted by people who smile at you, know your name, and who genuinely want you to succeed. This might not sound like something that's important in a gym, but it makes a huge difference. Having people who acknowledge you and your fitness goals can give you the extra boost you need to come in for a workout (and since the gym is available for use 24 hours a day for members, you can come in whenever the mood strikes you). Second, Fit360 isn't a rinse and repeat kind of place. Unlike many other gyms where you come in and have the same kind of workout each time, at Fit360, you are guaranteed to get a unique workout and try something new. That doesn't mean things are totally unpredictable. There are classes geared to help you work on specific skills: the LIFTFIT class focuses on different lift techniques, the PROFIT class is kettle bell and TRX strap based, and the HIITFIT class is like the King Kong of them all (seriously, if you come to HIITFIIT, be ready to put lifting, jumping, and explosive workouts together into one sweaty, awesome time!) The best part is that the classes are small enough that it feels like a small group personal training session. Each of the class instructors are well trained and will point out how you can improve your form and technique throughout the class. And third, there's Brian. He is literally the heartbeat of Fit360. Brian is dedicated to his craft and is constantly investing time into making himself a better trainer and owner so that he can bring the newest fitness techniques and equipment to the gym. Brian has created an environment that encourages people who come in to give just a little bit more each day. Before you join the gym, he takes time to talk to you about your goals, to make sure that he's delivering an experience that meets your personal goals, whether that be through open gym time, classes, or personal training. And with tools like a state of the art inBody station (included in your membership), which allows you to see advanced body composition statistics, you can actually see how your body changes over time. I have been working out with Fit360 since August when I went with my fiancée for a free class. I was out of shape and still recovering from a bad injury. This was at the old location and right away I signed up for more classes. Brian taught the class and he is also the owner. He is really nice guy who is down to earth, loves all kinds of music and motivates you to get better and stronger and quicker. Now the gym is at a new location and the place is really awesome and a lot of fun! Brian has a lot going on running the gym and teaching multiple classes per day, and doing private sessions, but he always takes the time to make sure your form is correct and you are being challenged. He especially pays extra attention to you when you are new because his full body workout may be completely new to some people, like me. He is not picking on you at all, just making sure you are getting the most out of his workouts, and doing things the right way. There is a learning curve, and some people pick it up faster than others. It took me some time but after you go consistently, you'll start to perfect the techniques and challenge yourself with more weight, harder workouts, speed, etc. There are a variety of classes as well as multiple knowledgeable instructors. I have taken almost all of the classes with almost all of the instructors. Everyone is extremely nice and patient, and just wants you to get the most out of the time you are putting. They all have different styles and I like mixing them up throughout the week. I go at least 3 times per week and I do classes with Brian, Chris, and boxing with Nino which is awesome and something I always wanted to do. I highly recommend checking the gym and trying a class. This place feels like a neighborhood gym where anyone at any level will feel welcome. However, don't let the size of the space fool you. This place has a lot going on. I take classes three mornings a week and the variety of exercises keep things both interesting and challenging, all resulting in a level of functional fitness that I definitely would not have a achieved on my own or sticking to the cardio equipment at the big gym that everybody hates in our neighborhood (WSC). Pros: In particular I love the 6:15 AM classes that fit into my parenting schedule. Also the instructors for the classes are quite special. Sidney is incredibly friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, energetic when you need it first thing in the morning, and somehow finds time to both correct people's form and chat up the group at the same time, making classes engaging in a way that makes them seem shorter than they are. Brian, the owner, is very passionate about functional fitness and brings a knowledge and perspective of fitness to classes that complement that of the other instructors. I also really like Drew, who is really nice and very helpful, making sure that everyone in the class knows what is going on, while challenging you to push harder and achieve your goals. Room to improve: While the instructors are very generous with their knowledge when asked, I would love to see more regularly organized interaction with clients with longer commitments. These might be monthly check-ins, weigh-ins, more challenges, and maybe even special events on nutrition or to build community. Overall: Overall I have been very pleased with my decision to invest both time and money in going to this gym regularly for the past five months. read more

Fit360 DC truly means the world to me. I have been going to this gym for 2.5 years now which is the longest I have ever consistently worked out in my adult life. Fit360 is such a lovely community, and it's where I have made most of my friends in DC. From day one, Fit360 felt welcoming, supportive, and genuinely inclusive. It's a space where people of all fitness levels, and all fitness goals belong. I have had the Unlimited Class Membership for these past 2.5 years and it has been the best investment in both my mental and physical health. One of my favorite things about Fit360 is the trainers. Each trainer brings their own style, energy, and approach, so every workout feels fresh and different. You're constantly challenged in new ways. I want to give a special shout out to Kendrick H. for motivating me every week to continue showing up for myself at the gym. Thank you! Lastly, it is very important to me to support local businesses, and at Fit360 I love knowing I'm supporting a local, Black-owned business that is deeply invested in its members. Because Fit360 is a small, locally owned community gym, you're not just another face -- the owner Brian actually listens to feedback from members and makes real adjustments based on what members need. My girlfriend and I have been training with Brian in his small group classes since his previous studio elsewhere in Mt. Pleasant, and I have to say, the experience so far has been great, and even better now in the new studio space. In other words, there are several good reasons why I trek all the way across the city to train with him via Classpass. Most importantly, my positive review has to do with Brian himself -- he is really a welcoming, positive, yet challenging trainer and ideal for a range of fitness experience levels, particularly novices. He really does strike a good balance between being friendly and motivating. Secondly, his classes -- they are consistently varied and challenging, with some latitude for making it extra challenging if one so chooses. They usually consist of various forms of kettle bell work, weight balls, TRX, equalizer bars, and Bosu balls, so are particularly good for core work and toning. Finally, his new studio -- simply put, it's fantastic, and a considerable improvement on his last space. The space is relatively open and features a bevy of new equipment, including the aforementioned weight balls and TRX, a treadmill, several beautiful squat racks, sufficient bar, plate, and dumbbell weights, and a couple other gleaming resistance machines that I'm eyeing. I only go for the small group classes, but I would use it for lifting if a lived nearby. I write few Yelp reviews, but this place deserves every star available. Nice job Brian. read more

I don't comment that often, but after two years now of taking classes and using the FIT 360 facilities I have to add in my two cents. First off, I never thought I'd be in the shape I'm in now - it was always a distant new years resolution. I never thought I'd get in to races, let alone complete a half marathon. Done it! I realize the reason I am where I am is because of Brian and FIT 360. Brian and his team treat you with respect, and recognize that you can get in shape without destroying your body in the process. Everything they teach has practical application in the real world, in terms of building up your functional fitness and getting blood flowing after a day of sitting in an office. Never having been particularly athletic, I have found that I enjoy getting up early for a 7 AM class, or showing up at 8PM, and still being able to get a work out led by Brian or another instructor. To me the classes are key, as they are available throughout the day, and offer fantastically varied routines that keep the workouts interesting and your body from adapting to any one exercise. There are multiple levels of classes, accommodating you if you've never been to a gym before, all the way to those for the most experienced gym rat. However, they also offer personal training and 24 HR no-frills gym access if that is more your style. The one down side is that FIT 360 only exists in Mount P., so if I ever move i'll be in trouble! read more

My sister goes here five days a week (a five star review in itself) and dragged my lazy out-of-shape self to FIT 360. For someone like me who exercises rarely, working out with Brian was a much needed kick in the butt. He uses your own body and keep the intervals fast and intense. I was definitely sore the next day, and sticking with his workouts can really change your body both asthetically and athletically. They also go by quickly! He really tailors workouts to you - This is great for people with injuries, special concerns, athletes, etc. I really like that Brian doesn't jump on crazy bandwagon trends or make you feel like you shouldn't be there if you aren't in perfect shape. Exercise is for your mind and body and he's more than happy to meet you where you are and work with your goals. If you are an athlete and want to really push your body, this is the place for you. If you want to start from zero and get in shape, this is also the place for you. That's what makes this gym really special. Another great thing about Brian is that he is kind and upbeat without being annoying, and intense without yelling or saying horrible things. He is great at adjusting to different levels of fitness and will adapt to different injuries. I would definitely recommend trying his small group classes out. They are more affordable than a one on one personal trainer with better results. read more

Since I decided I wanted to prioritize fitness a few years ago I have consistently taken every class imaginable (CrossFit, OrangeTheory, Burn Boot Camp, etc.) and NEVER did I develop the confidence and real results that I have since joining Fit360. This is a small gym that feels like a real part of the community, and the owner puts an incredible amount of thought and care into every piece of equipment, the classes he runs, and members that walk in every day. The classes are an excellent workout, the trainers are fantastic (I have been seeing Phil for close to a year now), and the facility is clean and very well-stocked with any equipment you could need. Even if you're paying for gym access only, the cost is incredibly reasonable for what you get (24/7 gym access) and you will feel supported from the moment you step inside. When I first joined the gym, I really appreciated that the owner, Brian, was always willing to answer my questions, even while he was in the middle of his own workout! There is a path to getting what you want out of your gym experience for every ability level here, and if you're a relative beginner intimidated when you walk into a gym like I was, this is 1000% your place. Brian and the whole team at Fit360 are fantastic! I started going to this gym in preparation for my upcoming wedding. I used to go to a bigger, impersonal gym (that I won't name) but wasn't getting any results. I came to Fit360 for a free trial class, and was immediately hooked! Brian's classes are kept generally small, so that he can focus on each person. Rather than trying to get you do as many reps as possible but with poor form (and possibly get injured), he really makes you work on achieving good form and working your whole body. He also is encouraging, while still pushing you to do your best- there is no yelling, just support. I also appreciate that there are different classes offered (high-intensity, yoga-pilates, boxing) so that I'm never bored- and yet even with the variety, all of the trainers clearly share Brian's philosophy. I feel so much better about the way that I look now, and more importantly, I feel stronger and more confident in what my body can do. My husband and I now come to Fit360 several times a week- it's become part of our regular routine, and we are very happy to be part of the Fit360 family. I have been a member of Fit 360 since December 2017. During that time, I've worked with a personal trainer, attended classes, and maintained regular individual workouts. I took advantage of the free first class and was wowed from the start. Having worked out at bigger gyms in the past where finding even a matching set of weights was impossible, I was impressed by the vast variety of equipment (and organization/cleanliness of equipment) at Fit 360. I also appreciate that there are four squat racks so there's rarely a wait. In both my personal training sessions and classes, the trainers focus on cross-functional movement and form, allowing participants to mostly pick their own weights but always challenging them to take it to the next level. I am constantly inspired by the other members. There are people here of every body type and experience level, but everyone is focused on their fitness - they're here to put in serious work and see improvement. Brian has created a wonderful community at Fit 360 and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for new challenges through group fitness, personal training, or individual workouts. read more

I took my first class at Fit360 about a year and a half ago, mostly because the introductory class was free and the gym is literally around the corner from my house. (I used to belong to WSC in CH but had grown disenchanted with it.) I've kept going to Fit360--usually 2-3 times per week since then--because the classes are great. As advertised, it's a total-body workout. Not easy, but the results are worth it. Brian, the chief trainer/instructor/owner, really knows his stuff and is always introducing new exercises (mostly using TRX, kettle balls, and various other equipment) to keep things interesting. Classes are small, everyone is super-friendly, and all the exercises can be modified so that you'll be challenged as your fitness level increases. As a former runner, I'd never really worked out with weights much before and thought it would be intimidating, but Brian makes everyone feel comfortable. I buy the 20 class pack, which is a good deal compared to the single class rate. This is a small gym; no towels, locker rooms, or rows of ellipticals, but you'll get personal attention and a great workout. Highly recommend. read more

I have converted militant non-exercisers to devoted gym-goers by dragging them to one of Fit 360's classes. You, Sir or Ma'am, should stop reading Yelp reviews and go take a class there immediately. The classes are small, there are tons of options (boxing, yoga, HIIT, ect), and above all, the trainers there are amazing - super knowledgable, friendly, and comfortable making modifications. You pretty much get a personal training session for the cost of a group fitness class. I also think it's worth highlighting that the space itself is really great - filled with just the right amount of well-maintained equipment, and very clean. Earlier this year, a couple of work projects made it downright impossible for me to make it to any of the classes. However, as a full member, I still had 24-hour access to the gym and all of its equipment, which was truly so helpful - no matter the time of night, I could still get a workout in, and this is something I continue to take advantage of a few times a month. If you live in the Mt. Pleasant/Columbia Heights/AdMo area, and you exercise elsewhere, you are missing out. read more

I LOVE this gym and dread the day when I won't live close enough to come here...I've been a member for about 1 1/2 years, and joining was one of the best decisions I made after moving to DC. I've always been intimidated by gyms - I never thought of myself as a "gym" person, I'm not super athletic and haven't felt very comfortable at most gyms - but after walking by many times and reading the incredible reviews I finally got myself to a class and was hooked right away! It's definitely got a great neighborhood vibe with friendly staff and clientele of all ages, body types, etc. I absolutely love the classes - Brian and the other trainers I've worked with are all awesome people. They are really good at pushing me much further than I'd ever push myself, while still being kind, respectful, and offering constructive feedback. Even though I sometimes miss classes for weeks at a time due to travel, I feel stronger and healthier I've been in a decade. Overall, the value for the money is absolutely worth it and can't be beat. I first met Brian after signing up for a free consultation. I'm not joking when I say I almost passed out during the initial session. I was embarrassed and I realized how badly out of shape I was. A visit to the doctor for a check up a few months later confirmed some major areas of improvement, including the fact I was pre-diabetic and had some red flags with my cardiac health. I dug deep with Brian through one on one sessions and group classes. Over the next few months I lost 30 pounds, strengthened my core, and got my labs into the green zone. I'm no longer pre-diabetic, and working out with Brian was a large contributing factor. I'm not interested in developing a beach body, with big guns and a ripped six pack. I'm interested in improving my health...Brian is laser focused on excercieses to stabilize the core. I say this confidently: Brian changed my life. I moved out of the neighborhood and am desparelty trying to find a gym that is run with the same discipline and motivational force as Brian. I joined Fit 360 about 6 months ago after the gym I'd been going to closed. I was looking for fun and challenging classes that I'd actually look forward to going to, and I definitely found that here! Brian is great, he really takes the time to get to know each student and their fitness goals, and in every class he makes sure you are doing each exercise with proper form and technique. I really enjoy the kettle bell based classes, and I'm looking forward to trying the new classes he's added since moving into the new space. Brian and the other trainers tailor each class to the students in it, so you'll always be challenged. I also really like that you get the option of using the gym at your own convenience, 24/7, if you can't make it to class that day (although I prefer having someone tell me what to do during my workouts!) I can't say enough good things about this gym. The facility and equipment are top notch, in addition to that, employees are always friendly and make for an awesome environment to get a workout in. I purchased the monthly open gym access, and after three months of working out here I am blown away. I do most of my training with free weights, and when it comes to that, this gym has everything you need and more. Great power racks, multiple different kinds of barbells, and a wide selection of kettlebells, dumbbells, and medicine balls leave nothing to be desired. Not to mention various accessory equipment such as landmine attachments and a single leg squat stand (a very useful piece of equipment). On top of this Fit 360 also has a plethora of weightlifting and cardio machines. I was personally very impressed by the Pit Shark and the GHD, you do not see those in most gyms. Like I said at the beginning, I can't say enough good things. If you are living in DC, this is the gym to go to. read more

FIT360 is fantastic! I enthusiastically recommend this place to anyone looking to improve their endurance, strength, and overall fitness. Despite previously being a non-gym-goer (and even intimidated at the idea), Brian and his team immediately made me feel comfortable, welcome, and encouraged. Classes are inclusive to all body types and skill levels, challenge each student at their own pace, and the coaches are excellent. In addition to the extensive class list (high intensity interval training, boxing, weigh lifting, running, X-fit, pilates, and yoga, to name a few); and option for personal training sessions, the gym equipment is extensive and available to members at any time. Most importantly, FIT360 focuses on total body composition and movement to improve strength and fitness. Since joining just over a year ago I've lost 25 pounds of fat and gained noticeable muscle. For the most part I've experienced Fit360's group classes, with the occasional personal training session. I found them originally through ClassPass, but now that I'm avoiding indoor gyms in lockdown I've switched to directly using their virtual training subscription (featuring live, fairly individualized Zoom sessions). Bottom line is that Brian and co. have motivated me to work out, and caused me to enjoy it and quickly see benefits, more than any other gym I've attended. They strike the right balance on basically every front: welcoming but down to business and challenging. The gym is super well-stocked with equipment (and classes have been great for showing me ways of using equipment that I never would have considered). Trainers are attentive and quick to give tips on form when needed, but also don't over-teach and encourage modifications when you know the drill. Really grateful to Fit360 for everything! read more
