Maybe a little too bright/warm in some area, but better than no windows. They have a retail area AND a kids area! I've never seen that before, but that's cool for moms. Gwen, the instructor, was mindful that everyone's body is at different stage and to listen to our body. Challenge it, but also listen. It was actually a really great workout and thought I could've pushed myself more. Gwen brought the energy to everyone and kept saying "it's spicy" meaning our legs or arms burning. Definitely good vibes in this studio.

The studio is clean, I much prefer the floor to ceiling windows while working out so you get lots of bright natural light. I brought my 4 month old son once and the lady was great that was watching him. I'm a bit of a helicopter mom and I felt super comfortable knowing he was right next door and she would come and grab me if there were any issues. There is a mannequin at the corner, so when you're coming out don't let her scare you because she scared me lol. There were only two students for the intro class, so it felt like we had our own personal trainer. Maggie was really attentive and helped guide us through our first session. She was really good with restructuring your posture when needed and gave reassurance that we were doing it correctly. We definitely worked up some sweat! When I asked her what cards were on file, she mentioned an expired visa that didn't belong to me! I also asked what she did with my 2 forms of payment and she claimed only the expired visa was on my account. That's not the card with the recurring charges. She also claimed that I was "scammed" and that there's no other number I could call about my complaint. Amy also spoke with my husband and could not keep her story straight upon speaking with him, claiming I never gave her 2 forms of payment. But that was REQUIRED upon sign up! This was a nightmare to deal with my bank. Amy is the most scattered, unaccountable owner and HOTWORX should be embarrassed to have her run this establishment. DO NOT SIGN UP HERE!

I've considered trying it for awhile but wasn't sure if it was for me but I only wish I'd done it sooner! These classes are hard, don't get me wrong, but hard in a good way. First of all, they don't heat the room which is great because these "hot" classes that are trending right now are just not for me. You won't be drenched in sweat but will still have worked your muscles so hard! What's amazing too- I struggle with low back pain and a standing job. Over just a few months of doing this class 1-2x week, my back pain has improved tremendously! I've tried core work before but it's never helped me like this has. Also- everyone at this studio is amazing. It's such a warm, supportive environment where you feel comfortable to struggle with movements and try new things without judgement. The instructors are all amazing about helping you correct your form and not making you feel bad because your body just isn't able to do certain movements. You can truly show up as a beginner and not be at all self conscious because everyone's muscles shake and everyone encourages you! I can't say enough good things about these classes or this studio. The new owner Monica is also so amazing and welcoming!

I've done Lagree for a few years so not new to this. The machines were a bit odd, I know everyone likes to modify these for their special brand of Lagree but I didn't like the way these were modified. I took 3 classes, two were just bad, a random set of exercises that didn't seem to cohesively go together, and one was just OK. I didn't feel the instructors were that experienced or paid attention to the people, everyone was doing something slightly different. It feels like some movements were just there for the coolness factor but they didn't really create a workout or make sense. There is a right way to do a move and there are adjustments that can be made but I just didn't get a good workout here.

Thankful to the receptionist because I was running late (Uber) since it's bad class etiquette to be late, but I had to do paperwork when I arrived even though I had already filled it out online. This made me more late. Real, the instructor, was great & she has legs for days lol. She invited me to take class the next day, but I had concert plans. I learned a piece that's been retaught, but didn't mind it since it was my 1st "chairography" class, but I've taken sexy/heels classes before. I was heels-less because I didn't pack any, but shoes weren't required. I enjoyed the warm-up, choreography, tricks, & extra time at the end. "Tease me please".
