My daughter signed up a year ago and went once or twice...I forgot about it until I saw it hit my card every month and told her to cancel ...she tried multiple times and said it wouldn't so I called. They said they cancel but will still need to charge me April dues AS WELL AS the yearly fee for next year!! Ridiculous I get it there is policy and a contract involved.... Place has gone downhill drastically since it first opened. Not enough equipment for the volume of people, especially during peak times. Half the equipment is broken in some way or another. The ventilation system/HVAC/fans are either broken or they just don't turn it on. Can't recommend it anymore. read more

I've been apart of this gym for a few months now and I chose this gym because of their group classes. My favorite ones are taught by Tonia. She knows how to keep the workouts fun and I absolutely love her energy!! If you haven't tried a class instructed by Tonia yet, definitely try out her Zumba class. It's so much fun and you'll want to come back for more! I just started personal training a month ago and Tonia is my trainer as well. She's super talented, keeps me motivated and kicks my butt every time but in the best way possible! What I really appreciate from Tonia is her patience and time to make sure my form is always right so I don't hurt myself or strain any muscles. I would have recommended Fit Factory fairly highly but after a full year of repeatedly and unsuccessfully trying to get my membership cancelled, I'm pretty upset. I've been told multiple times that it was cancelled only to have the charges continue each month. It seems like I am not the only one that this is happening to. I recommended this gym to everyone I knew because I loved it. Covid hits and I wait until April to cancel, because I teach and don't want to be exposing myself to any unnecessary germs. Call the front desk, they say a manager will call be to cancel. They never do. I forget, because it's a pandemic and I'm trying to teach. I called again in June and August and each time the front desk promised they'd have a manager call because "that's how cancellations work now." In November I had had it so I cancelled the card and moved on until their collection company started harassing me twice a week. I call again and suddenly I can just walk in and sign a cancellation form, but I have to pay the three months I've "missed" in dues. I have not been in that building since March and they took 11 months of dues from me AND the annual member fee. Avoid this company like the plague. read more

Fit factory seems to take a "gotcha" approach with their business ethics by using the ol' bait n' switch to lure you in with "9.99 no commitment" and then in the fine print tell you, you have to fill out a form in blue ink on a Tuesday when the temperature is between 62-65 degrees, and partially cloudy, with red shoes on, when the manager from headquarters happens to be there- to cancel. Bottom line: if you're providing a quality product- you don't need to trick people into giving you money. I would challenge fit factory to look at the percentage of revenue collected as a result of this "gotcha" approach. I signed up for a $9.99 "no commitment" special but never stepped foot in the gym in the entire month of August. I emailed and said i obviously shouldn't continue seeing as i couldn't even try out the facility due to time and location. To my surprise- they kept charging me $39.99 a month and no matter how many times i called or emailed they wouldn't let me cancel. I had to pay for a stop payment but they still continued to threaten to charge. They said i had to come in person, and even when i did that- i had to pay $79 to get out of the contract. So fit factory- 5 months X $39.99 + $30 stop payment fee + $79 cancelation fee charged to someone that never stepped foot in your gym. You can "pride yourself" on whatever spin you put on this deception but at the end of the day- it's bad business and you know it. read more

I have joined this gym since September 2023 and it is March 2023. I have tried to really get the best out of this gym. I live in Kingston and would really like it to work. All the equipment was never new it is refurbished. They are replacing some of the cardio equipment with once again refurbished equipment. Most of the cardio equipment is so worn out the foot pad on the Procore's are gone. The stationary bikes are broken in bad shape. There is cleaners that come in at night. Well no one is checking their work. They only clean the toilets not the showers not the floors in the locker rooms. Both men's and women's I have asked around. They have 20 year old's for staff. Unfortunately it could be much better run. There are only classes after 8:30 am and evenings. There is one 6:00 am spin. Not for working people that want a classes. If you are looking for a gym DO NOT GO HERE!. Cardio deck is small and the equipment is terrible. You can tell the lack of care from corporate by a gym that has "machine is broken" signs everywhere.They advertise as a luxury gym and have holes in the wall and no steam room. They have dumbbells that look like they went to war with the ground, its overcrowded. Cables brake, tv's are out, increase monthly payments to "update" the gym but its only got worse. When it came time to cancel my membership I had a very difficult time. Fit Factory repeatedly charged my credit card after I cancelled in person. Every month they had another excuse, another promise to fix and another charge. Credit card company eventually solved problem. Read the reviews before you sign up with Fit Factory. This is a common complaint. Any company with integrity will allow you cancel your membership just as easy as you created it, not Fit Factory. Enrollment fees, monthly fees, yearly membership fees and cancellation fees. Buyer beware! read more

It's better than Planet Fitness because it has classes and a separate female work-out area. They also have Cross-fit for an additional fee, as well as personal training. The facility is nice and new at present time! The life-fitness equipment seems on par with Planet Fitness and could be better. 2 Stars is all I can give this location. Half the time I go there, no one is at the front desk or they are unable to answer my questions. Management is extremely rude. I'm also not a fan of the layout at all, it seems cramped especially compared to the location in Braintree. The classes they offer are great (even though I was only able to get in once because it fills up so fast at the time I am able to go) and it's pretty clean are my only positive things to say about the Kingston Fit Factory. read more

Fit factory gets two stars instead of one because I enjoy the spin class. Other than that this gym is your basic run of the mill kind of gym. The space seems tight, the workout equipment is decent(I rarely see down machines,) there are a ton of "meat heads," I definitely feel gym-timidation from other gym goers....I really dread coming here and not because I don't want to work out. I also got looped into their FFIT "CrossFit" scheme. They offer you one free class with your membership to try out. And at first I really liked it, so I tried another class and could tell it would offer some results so I joined by adding $50 fee to my account. The guy in charge(taylor?) of FFIT told me that I could quit or freeze my account anytime. They would need 30 days notice to quit but he never mentioned the 30 days notice to freeze! So whenever I got an injury after starting the FFIT I went to go freeze my account and was told I would still be charged $50 since I had to give 30 days. Guess you have to read the fine print and not rely on what the employees are selling you on. I paid for 8 classes and only went to the free class and Brandy the trainer made it seem like my second class before signing up was free as well to see if I really liked it but she ended charging me in the end(counting towards one of my monthly classes.) I felt like I got played. Once my 90 day membership is up, I'm outta here! read more

Im not a gym person, that said, they are a gym. Heres why the 5 stars: Walking in they are super friendly and they know my name (as they should). Prices are reasonable and I can bring a friend for free...um duh, if Im going to be tortured might as well bring a friend. The space is clean and I like the set up. Stadium seating for all their cardio stuff, so I can look down at everyone. The weighted machines are next and then there a wall that slightly separates me from the weights. That said, thats normally where I end up...reluctantly. Because of all this, I decided to pick up a trainer. Sad truth is I won't go to the gym just for my own well being I ned motivation and that means I have to pay some one to motivate me. I chose Jamison. Through the past few months we've become friends. He goes to school for this and you can tell he's passionate. He and I even beat out the other trainers and gym goes to be featured as best trainer and trainee there! He keeps diligent records and creates goals for me because my only goal is to show up haha. To switch it up even more, after my success w Jamie, I chose to train in the Crossfit room. One of my surprisingly favorite spots. If you've never done crossfit, your Box (gym) can make or break your experience. Also, I love being around other people. The culture in crossfit is to always do your best and improve and to build your fellow cross fitters. You become friends in the box. A family. Now, its obviously not easy, so I enlisted the help of Nick. Nick is the biggest guy there, I know because he brags about it lol. Nick also is the kindest person I know. He's a goof and he knows his stuff. He asks what my goals are (currently its not to have this concave chest). If you were to ask either Jamie or Nick they'd say that they are surprised at my athletisim and my strength ( I have great strength in my back and legs), so Im oddly good at most things. Bust Chest and arms is where I run away from. Jamie and Nick coordinate my work outs to make sure that Im not over working or avoiding anything that I need work on. I can go on and on, but if you're looking for a fun and friendly gym that has great classes at no extra cost, crossfit and knowledgeable trainers that will help you reach your goals, go here. Or if you want to do you, go here. On the Management side, I love Mike and Dave. They are there for what concerns you may have and I like that they go that extra mile to make sure your stay with them is a 10! read more

Dont join this gym..... same problem that prevous people have had, my son - spoke w/ Brock several times- constantly states they don't have the paperwork- my son cancelled his membership through Brock back in March2021- now its in collections and ruinning my kids credit- after SEVERAL attempts going in and speaking with Brock stating computer was down... blah,,blah,,blah.. we will call you tomorrow...NEVER HAPPENED!!!!! They cant find paperwork.. Tried to cancel my fit factory membership a few years ago. Supposedly they " didn't have the paperwork" . Put it in collections for 200 dollars.. I didn't even know I owed them anything? When I asked them about it they never got my paperwork to end the membership. Ruined my credit for a couple years there. But crazy to see the reviews with similar stories. My membership was transferred from fit focus. I appreciate the transfer since I had just paid my yearly fee. That said I am disappointed in the size of this gym. The womans room is so small. only one weight bench and it is squished against a machine cause there is no room. I find the place warm for a gym. Usually when you get out to the floor you feel cold till you workout. Not here. You feel warm right away. The trainer desk area is one of the biggest parts of the gym . The staff seem nice. I recognized a few from my old gym and the recognized me. But I guess paying 10 a month you can expect much. I would go to planet fitness but exit 5 is too far for me to go. I like that they have a sauna and steam room. Other than that it's not that great. Very small crammed space and smells awful.. and it's warm which makes it smell even worse. the machines are not clean and stained with peoples sweat. The women's room is a closet.. For anyone interested in personal training I'd like to give kudos to Brandon at Fit Factory in Kingston. I've just completed 8 months of training and I highly recommend him. He was very professional, reliable and knowledgeable - always researching and sharing the latest fitness data to educate and empower me. He started by working with me to set goals and made sure I was consistently progressing to achieve them. He taught me good form, how each exercise worked my muscles and how to pair exercises for solid outcomes in areas I wanted to work. Great gym that gives you the option of different types of memberships that suit your needs. They have: free weights, machines, classes, an area to jump rope, and their own version of Cross Fit for a much discounted rate. The staff is friendly and attentive to your needs, especially Myles, who is very personable and outgoing. "Factory" perfectly describes this experience. If you are looking for an equipment gym, this may be a place for you. I joined at the allure of the "Mind and Body" classes, however, these classes were always full. With no opportunity to sign-up on-line, it was always a race to try to make the cut. Way too stressful for someone looking for a mind and body experience. The locker room did not have enough capacity during the after work time slot, so I could never find a place to store my belongings. The locker also smelled of natural gas or propane which gave me a headache when trying to get ready. read more

Fit Factory in Kingston sucks. They lie. I have been trying to cancel membership for 3 weeks. Was told they would have manager email me pdf to cancel since I cannot get in when a manager is there. Never heard from them. Was told manager is there Mon-Sat 9am-6pm. Another lie. Manager last Saturday there 8a-12p. I had another commitment so could not get in, so I called again. Jeff said he'd email me the cancellation pdf to sign and scan back within the hour. Never got it. Was told as long as I cancelled before the 21st, I would not be charged again. Lies. Had to leave work early to get here in time only to be told payment is already in process so there's nothing they can do. I have to pay for another month for a membership I have never used since they took over my old gym. Dealing with this gyms is right up there with used car salesmen. If I could give zero stars I would. Sadly you have to give at least one. read more

Prior to covid I enjoyed going to this gym especially for spin classes. Due to the pandemic I I tried to cancel my gym membership for MONTHS (literally 5 months). I called, emailed, & filled out the online form with no response. Which is unfortunate because I would have re-enrolled once the pandemic subsided. Worst experience I've ever had cancelling a membership. After being transferred automatically from fit focus to fit factory, I immediately went into fit factory the same day to cancel my membership. After receiving multiple charges after cancellation over a month later I still hadn't received a "promised" refund. I called requesting to speak with the manager more than 6 times to no avail. Never receiving any apologies for the inconvenience, just annoyance in the desk members voice. Completely in gray area this whole experience and still haven't received an email or a call back from management. read more
