I attended a trial class with the coach, Vicky and she is absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere is pumped, supportive and non-judgmental (unlike what I have seen online from other gyms). At least from this particular hour of the class, I am an outlier in the clientele which is a little awkward but I don't feel judged. Everyone is encouraged to do their best and better themselves at their own pace. The coach gives multiple examples of how to do a particular workout and also a goal base line so you can choose what is comfortable for you. The music is quite loud, so I wouldn't recommend this for someone is sensitive to loud noises but other than that I can't see anything wrong with the establishment. I know they have bathrooms and showers but I have not used either of those facilities yet, but I am sure they are also as clean and wonderful as the main floor. I look forward to meeting the other coaches and moving forward with my health journey with this organization.

After touring the gyms I came away with the impression that Stafford was by far the best gym in the area. The staff is superb and the gym and equipment are clean. None of that terrible "gym" smell that you often get at the gyms as they age. Beginning during the end stages of COVID restrictions, it was so nice to experience outdoor swimming, the hot tub, and social time with other members. Swimming is my main experience at the club so here is what you should know: * Six lane outdoor salt water pool that is open year round (I've done laps in the snow, sleet, and hail). * You can reserve four of the six lanes and it is very competitive to get times, especially during the warm weather months when you are competing for space with the swim team, swim lessons, and aqua aerobics classes. * The other two lanes are left open for first come first serve usage and swimmers are encouraged to share. * The outdoor hot tub is for 14+ over. I have only taken one yoga class at the club and all classes have you reserve your spot. If you cancel less than 12 hours in advance or are a no show, you are charged a $10 fee. Personally, I don't mind since the reservation system makes me accountable and if I don't have a reservation, I'm less likely to go workout. The club is a nice mix of serious athletes (I'm surrounded by masters swimmers and triathletes), retirees, and families. Prior to my membership, my teenage son was a member for two years and loved the weight room, sauna, and steam room. The club as been open for awhile and is definitely showing its age and is need of some maintenance upgrades in the pool area. That being said, I have been very happy with my membership here and the personal feel, literally being greet by name when entering and exiting, and the wonderful customer service. This club is very different from the large national chains, so to each their own. Definitely recommend a trial membership at this club as well as others in the area to see which is the best fit for you. My physician prescribed physical therapy for a sciatica problem I had for years and had become so…read moreintolerable it was affecting my sleep and quality of life. I found out about Active Edge Physical Therapy from a friend or mine who had great results with that group and so I made an appointment with Chris Woods one of their physical therapists. I have to say this was the best experience and especially the most beneficial treatment I have had for my sciatica. I no longer have the "killer" pain running down my right leg and I have cut back significantly with the pain medication I had been taking. Chris identified my problem right away and began using deep movements, stretching, and strengthening to address the problem. Moreover, the home exercises he prescribed empowered me to improve my problem over a short amount of time and significantly improved my "body awareness." I continue to use these easy at-home exercises on a regular basis; they are life-long lessons that Chris provided specifically for my particular issue. Chris made the sessions both fun and educational too! I have to say too, that the front counter staff at AEPT are wonderful! They provided a complete report of what my insurance would cover BEFORE I started the treatment and were very pleasant to work with. Their facility is located in the beautiful Willamette Historic District in West Linn. I got connected with great coaches with thorough expertise in coaching the lifts, and Jordan's healthcare background has definitely informed his coaching practice. I was welcomed into a friendly community that has men and women, young an old, of various persuasions and backgrounds. I have gotten healthier and stronger, and I've gotten better at training, and I've met fantastic people on the staff and in the gym. The equipment is great, and they have everything I need. Imagine that your coaches were actually useful and genuinely invested in your training. They actually care about more than just squeezing another PT session out of you. That said, NLB is more than just a group class. Everyone knows everyone's name. You'll develop some relationships with people, and it's nice to have someone to talk to in between sets. The lack of communication and follow-through appears to be a systemic management problem. I've belonged to other Club Pilates locations and had a very different experience, so this is not a criticism of Club Pilates as a whole. My concern is specifically with the management and ownership of this location. If you're considering joining, I would recommend looking into who owns and manages the studio before signing up. The instructors may be great, but when you need help with billing, account issues, or anything requiring management involvement, you may find yourself waiting a very long time for a response.
