Due to the pandemic and having babies back to back, I pretty much didn't workout in the last 3.5 years. Once I knew I was ready to get back in shape...but not having the same time and flexibility I used to, I knew I had to do something different to jump start my fitness journey. I knew I would need accountability and a good trainer to help me with a customized plan to keep me motivated and on track. Because of my busy schedule, I also needed my trainer to essentially "bring the gym" to me. I got Chang as my personal trainer and it was such a wonderful experience. Chang worked with me every step of the way and customized a workout plan specific to my needs. One thing I really liked about working with Chang was his professionalism and genuine care for my progress. He pushed me, but also knew when not to push too hard. He also had a way of getting me to beat my own record every time. He's usually on time and is always respectful. After having 2 babies, I never thought I would see abs again, but I have them now. I still have some ways to go to get back to my pre baby body, but without Chang, I honestly don't think I would see results this fast (15 sessions). Now I feel confident enough to go back into the gym on my own and continue doing the workouts he taught me. I totally recommend Chang as a personal trainer. He knows what he's doing.

Me doing a superman pushup ON MY FIRST TRY (after weeks of working out my smaller muscle groups with Fit2fly)

Coming to Fit2fly was a journey in its right. Having come from experience training with other personal trainers, doing P90X several times, pilates, yoga, and even CrossFit - I have a good overview of the fitness market. I even have a special myofascial massage therapist on hand to address tight areas of adhesions and use trigger points to loosen myself up. I've done my homework! I knew commitment for me was never an issue. But results and injuries were. I did CrossFit for several months at a really well rated box, but ended up injuring myself. Of course it's their job to push us to AMRAPs, but with the volume of people in class, and in the environment of competition - I ended up with a badly pulled and extremely painful neck/upper back for months. My research kept pointing to calisthenics training as a holistic approach to working out. Built into calisthenics is cardiovascular training, strength training, core work, with emphasis on improving one's range of motion and flexibility. I wanted something NOT in a class - I wanted one on one attention based on what MY BODY needs to improve, not just modify to catch up with the rest. And I wanted to work outdoors to "toughen" me up, enjoy nature, and really be aspire to be a "street athlete" - with cuts and all. Chang and Miles met me at a workout park for a free initial assessment and they had me do jump rope, pull ups, push ups and other tests to see where my current level was at. They were impressed by my 3 months of prior DIY calisthenics, and said they were excited and confident to take me to the next level. Their knowledge of calisthenics, myofascial release, and attention to my goals of getting shredded and strong in a safe and flexible manner sold me. I've been working out with Chang, now for over 20 sessions at different workout parks. My stamina has increased, along with my strength and coordination and reduction in body fat. We are now progressing to front levers (assisted.. FOR NOW lol), but am noticing and seeing my training with Chang actually improving my metrics. First time I did a quarter mile sprint in 1:53, and as of 2 weeks back? Down to 1:35 Friends and colleagues are noticing my changing physique and I sleep better at night. I workout twice a week with Chang, with "homework" assignments given to me to complete on my in between days at my local gym. He also helps me with my nutrition on a much more "hands on" approach than my previous trainers! What I love is the personal attention, they're always reachable, and how I get a plan tailored 100% for my body and needs. No trendy workouts or anything - back to the basics that work. Do your own research, be smart, and be ready to make a disciplined commitment - THEN you will see change. They practice what they preach, and their Instagram profiles clearly made me want to train with them more. If you're reading this Fit2fly - thank you guys. I'm excited to move on to the next level!

Cleanliness at this specific location could definitely be better maintained. The mat I rented that day was a bit smelly, and the towel was too, which wasn't great. That said, this has nothing to do with the staff.. the front desk is very friendly, and the instructor I had for yin was wonderful. No complaints there at all. I'd probably avoid this particular location moving forward though, that's all.

I'd had a bad experience at the Pasadena studio with a girl named Megan, so I decided to try a different location, and I'm so glad I did. This studio is waaaay cleaner. The mat towels smelled fresh, everything felt sanitized, and the space was clearly well taken care of. My instructor, Jimmy, delivered an amazing workout, he incorporated moves I've never seen before and actually walked around correcting form, which is rare in larger fitness classes. He was fun, energetic, and really set the tone. Playlist was baddie certified! LOVED him! I also appreciated how well maintained everything was, soaps fully stocked, cozy studio rooms, and an overall vibe that felt intentional and inviting. I think this might be my new go to location. I don't even mind the drive :)

I highly recommend trying and combining each instructor and the various classes provided at yoga circle for a wholistic practice. The three very unique teachers that have distinguished styles are Knekoh, Jacqui, and Rob. I love all three and each teacher serves a precise purpose to my yoga practice. Knekoh for my mindful meditation, Jacqui for a concentration of the body, and Rob for spiritual awakening. The other instructors are also great and are generally a hybrid of these three. If you're up for the challenge, source Yoga Circle as your place to complete the 200 hour yoga teacher training. I was in the 2020 class with Knekoh and Rob. Yoga Circle did a tremendous job at switching from real life training to virtual training. The quickness of the transition was impressive. Both Knekoh and Rob are incredibly dedicated to their students and their own practice. Both have polar yet complementing energies that make the TT special.

Some thoughts: - Thumbs up for the intimate environment and variety in classes instructional styles (I really appreciate how the instructors are keen on teaching different poses and providing tips). - I really enjoyed the therapeutic yoga class for neck and shoulders. - Knekoh is very welcoming and kind! - The high ceilings and natural lighting from the skylight windows contribute to a great ambience! - From a cleanliness standpoint, I also really appreciate that shoes are taken off upon entering :)

She was so charming and friendly and really made everyone comfortable. She made the class!!! She was a wonderful teacher who made learning easy and enjoyable. I would love to come back but it is quite expensive. Probably good for a treat! The overall studio is very pretty and aesthetic. The aerial room was a bit tight but did the job! Loved the openness of everything. The entrance and signing into the class was a bit messy and hectic, the entrance was under construction and the man at the front handing out the waivers and such seemed a bit overwhelmed. Didn't feel super welcoming. Streamlining and organizing this section would def help put clients more at ease since I was starting to doubt the class in the beginning.-BE SURE TO BRING A YOGA MAT! Otherwise you'll have to pay $4 to rent one. -The overall class was 10 minutes of warmup, 30 min lesson, and then 10 minutes of free time to record and practice what you just learned. -The AERIAL DANCE INTRO CLASS was a great class for those who have never done aerial or those who haven't done it in years. We learned 3-4 positions. - Paid street parking or limited lot parking ( where ABOUT TIME CAFE is , free during the day) - bathroom available - Locker room on the side - They have two cute dogs in the studio - Recording isn't allowed till the end.

It doesn't really make sense but OK, already vibe ruined but i took the aerial 1 class. The man followed me around asking where i got my yoga mat and even when i was leaving asked if i am taking my yoga mat and where it is etc- very annoying, bizarre and frankly off putting as hell. he was anything but welcoming so i suggest you remove him from whatever he's doing in the front. never want to come back. apparently you have to pay for rental yoga mat. But even before I get to the class, the entry entryway and the vibe of the whole place is off because it's so worn out. i'm scared the fabric will fall off the hook and it's extremely smelly and overall unstable and worn out looking- not sure if i can trust the hanging to support me but that's the attorney in me talking. everything i see seems like a liability, especially their old hooks and the way the instructor walks around with a huge ladder in a crowded class. Next the class itself- instructor spent majority of the time making us stretch and adjusting our fabric. it was such a waste of time. don't do it if you're trying to get a workout in.
