Starting with super sweet and friendly customer service from Hagar. Jordan checks me in and was sweet too. Also want to shout out the maintenance guy Elijah. He was also cool, helpful and has the entire place immaculate. For my class, Philip was our instructor. He was really good. I'd do his class again. But I'm looking forward to returning and trying both other types of classes and instructors. Overall, I definitely recommend it for a great sweat. Parking is offered which is of course great here in Los Angeles.

My first and last experience at this location was FAR from ideal. I showed up Sep 28 at 9:15 am for the 26 & 2 class with Teresa (Tee) L. I used to teach yoga myself so I'm aware of movements and modifications I need to avoid/make for myself since I am healing from a L1 fracture. During the whole class the instructor kept calling me out and approaching me to say things like, "maybe this class is a bit much for you." I paid for a class to give myself a safe space to heal and restore with a good Bikram flow, not to feel inadequate to practice. I am keenly aware of my limitations so if I need to take more breaks, I will. I have not been able to practice in months and I'm easing my way back into a routine. I did also mention the injury to the instructor when she asked. At other locations I've had no issues but I have to be perfect to practice at Beverly Hills. I've tried BARE at Santa Monica since my injury and 26&2 in the South Bay and neither times were the teachers discouraging! Mind you, this was my first impression for this location and I can say I will never be back. There are other studios in my area that offer the same service for less to NO disrespect. The only thing that I liked about this location was that the parking was easy unlike the location at Santa Monica, if parking was complicated at BH they would genuinely get one star from me.

I still love it and it holds a few special memories of my office literally sharing a wall with the gym and at exactly 4pm the music bumping from a workout class, to going early in the mornings in a suit, quickly changing, getting my workouts and sauna in, showering and then walking straight to my office down the hall. It was very convenient for me and I was in some of the greatest shape of my life at one time. I think this place was at its peak when it had Oliver Cafe joined with it and they would serve smoothies and food. I would sometimes take a break and grab a quick smoothie and go back to my office. I will say I like the gym and layout a little more than the Encino Location and it feels more spacious. The staff are very nice but the trainers will hound you in the gym and call you nonstop and that's where Encino location tops this one. I love the sauna room, the eucalyptus towels and the showers and locker area is always clean. They have great customer service and the quality of amenity's are top notch compared to other gyms I've been to. Between Encino and Beverly Hills I'm definitely choosing this one for environment and energy but Encino for privacy, and a nice quiet relaxing workout. However, I have taken a tour of the Woodland Hills one and that one seems super legit! This is my home though. Please get another restaurant or smoothie shop in this location soon! I have learned so much in my personal Pilates practice as well as from an instructor standpoint. As someone who doesn't have the "traditional" Pilates background (I'm not a dancer, I come from sports and weightlifting), I've found that Bodyline is supportive and welcoming to all human experiences. The students are as diverse here as you'll experience anywhere. I've taken private lessons from Colette and am just starting group classes at the studio. It's great to be able to put in practice what you learn in class in the actual studio to reinforce concepts and get familiar with expected choreo and queues before the test-out. I've noticed such an improvement in my own practice, both inside and outside of Pilates, due to the personalized feedback I've gotten here and thorough information I've learned about corrections for lumbar lordodis and hip popping. I highly recommend checking out Bodyline if you're looking to take your practice to the next level!

Cool is a theme here. Seen as a Equinox-light version, it is located on the lower level between the 2029 and 2049 buildings adjacent from the Starbucks, Trimana, and Mickey Fine. I have enjoyed being a member, and the appeal that it is open 24/7. While this doesn't serve as my main gym, I think it is a comfy option that is far better than the poorly-ventilated David Barton's that was across the street. At the same time, this gym isn't really busy except after work and because it's membership is limited. They have state of the art equipment including those Peloton bikes, and 2 types of treadmills. Weights are minimal, but all the basics and a little more are there. It's a good small gym but the question has become whether to use a close-to-home gym or this one. It certainly will likely be nice, unless opt to pay over $200 for an Equinox membership or don't mind a place with a little drab.
