Amazing first experience! Doing both one of there classes and hot yoga! I joined a friend of mine this past Thursday and I can see where his love for this place comes from. Starting with super sweet and friendly customer service from Hagar. Jordan checks me in and was sweet too. Also want to shout out the maintenance guy Elijah. He was also cool, helpful and has the entire place immaculate. For my class, Philip was our instructor. He was really good. I'd do his class again. But I'm looking forward to returning and trying both other types of classes and instructors. Overall, I definitely recommend it for a great sweat. First, I want to make clear this review is solely about the corporate office, which has been taken over by greedy people who show zero integrity in running a business. The irony of them being in charge of a yoga business is not lost on me. As for any people thinking of joining this studio. You are and will be FINANCIAL PREY as long as you interact with this business. That said, the front desk staff and teachers and individual studio managers are amazing and deserve way more appreciation than they get, and maybe it's time for them to really think hard about that. The new people in corporate will lie, reneg on promises made, and make fraudulent charges with no hesitation in doing so. They agreed to a certain rate for my membership, and although it was never discussed or agreed upon, they downgraded my membership tier without ever disclosing it. I have emails that back this up. However, this isn't one instance. Since the new corporate team has moved in, I have had several charges added to my account that I didn't agree to, I've spoken to people who have experienced the same, and the corporate staff hide behind the people working at the front desk, leaving those workers to deal with clients angered about it because they are too cowardly to answer for their own actions. I cannot in good faith recommend this studio to anyone, and I've been a member since 2014 (which means nothing to them). The new corporate team came in only recently. I suggest everyone here vote with their dollars, which are becoming more and more precious in this economy. Stay conscious in who you offer your money to, and stay aligned with your personal integrity, because this studio has none, in my opinion. read more

I joined a class today with a friend that encouraged me to try the 7 days unlimited classes! I've done hot yoga before but in a more meditative way than a workout so I was a little nervous/ hesitant but figured I'd give it a go and I'm so glad I did! There are lots of locations but this one seemed the nicest and it's my friends' favorite. There is underground parking onsite which is free when validated which they do here. The space is SUPER clean and all the staff was really welcoming and friendly. They gave me a little tour and showed me the ways around and what was offered which was so appreciated. The women's locker area and bathroom was super nice and spacious as were the showers. I brought my own mat but they do provide mats and towels for a small fee. We chose the 4:30 Power class which was intermediate. We ended up with a substitute teacher Raea and she was great! I will say, it was a bit warmer than I've experienced in a hot yoga class before which was a little overwhelming at first but I started to adjust within 10 minutes. Anytime I needed to break I was able to comfortably and without judgement. The whole space is really judgement free and feels like a safe space type community which I loved. Our class was an hour and as expected I was soaked afterwards but ended up feeling rejuvenated. They offer complementary cold eucalyptus towels and there's water and an area to cool down after which we took advantage of. Not to mention they have really cute merch to buy! All in all, I would definitely come back and am excited to have joined this community! If you're considering starting hot yoga or looking for a new place, start here, you won't regret it! read more

Great studio to practice hot yoga but AVOID their "teacher trainings" at all costs; they are a scam. Other instructors voiced to me that the trainings are a racket before I did mine and I should have listened... They will give you a set sequence to memorize but teach you NOTHING about safety cues or anatomy.... They will try to then upsell "mentorship" for another $500... They often do NOT hire people from their own trainings. You will NOT be given the tools to be a sustainable yoga teacher. It's a literal MLM, given that instructors ARE incentivized to get people to sign up and earn commission. If you want to genuinely learn how to teach yoga, go elsewhere. read more

I love this location! First I enjoy the convenience of how close it is to me. I've been a member for some months now and gone around to different locations and I think it all comes down to is preference. The parking situation I don't mind. I believe its free for the first two hours and it's underground structure with valet attendants so I feel safe leaving it there and they're always super helpful. I don't know why it is but my parking ticket always get demagnetized so they have to manually let me out which I am sure is annoying for them. This studio has three rooms all decent size. Actually a bit bigger than the other studios... and again depending on the class and teacher i think that's the only difference. I also like the lobby area it's very spacious and enough enough space to catch your breath lol. Bathroom/showers I would say need a upgrade. Staff is always super friendly and teachers are amazing! THE FLOORS ARE DISGUSTING!!!!! Get rid of the groves like flooring that has holes for dirt and grime to get into. The floor look and smell dirty. I can't go there anymore due to sanitation. They need new, FLAT, FLOORS. It's a hygiene issue. read more

I have been to All SoCal hot 8 locations and Beverly Hills is the best run location it probably is the most busy location as well, but the front desk is always helpful and they are very much on top of cleaning the studios and floors in between classes no moldy smells and no slipping on one floor. I was really impressed with my last visit not sure if there's been more training on taking care of the studio with staff but I noticed. Also the classes are filled with the cutest boys. read more

I've been coming to this studio for a while now and have genuinely enjoyed the community and the classes. It's been a grounding place for me--but lately, it's hard not to notice some disappointing changes. First and foremost, the recent price increase feels hard to justify. With higher rates, I expected at least a few improvements--instead, everything feels a bit more stretched than before. The front desk staff, though kind, always seem overwhelmed and pulled in too many directions. There's a visible lack of cohesion and warmth at check-in that wasn't there before. I've also picked up on a subtle but persistent dissatisfaction among some of the teachers. Whether it's offhand comments or their general tone, it seems like morale isn't high--and that energy does affect the experience. I come here for peace and presence, but it's tough when the people guiding you through class don't seem fully supported. Lastly, cleanliness has slipped. The once-pristine space now sometimes feels neglected--floors not as clean, bathrooms needing attention, and shared props that could use more regular sanitizing. I still value this studio, but the cracks are starting to show. I truly hope management is listening, because this place has potential--and a loyal following that deserves more. read more

I love coming to the studio and getting the warmest greeting by Madison (who now teaches Yin- go try her class!), Jack, or all the other lovely employees at the front desk. If you are a regular, the unlimited membership is great, because you can decide last minute to squeeze in a workout throughout your day. I have definitely noticed a difference in my body physically, but what I've benefit from a lot is also how strong I've mentally gone through a consistent practice. 26/2 is a 90 min class and the most challenging, you must try a class by master teacher, Francesca. SHE IS SIMPLY MAGICAL. Her class is so much more than yoga- it's an experience, it's therapy. She has a way of remembering every students name even if the class is filled to the brim. She will correct you or tell you if you're doing something good. She is really the person that made me fall in love with hot yoga-Definitely stop by and try her class while you still can. I also like how strict Ken's 26/2 class is too. My favorite cardio class would have to be sculpt, you have to try a class by Cierra, she always brings the best energy. I love how challenging Lala's class, but she literally teaches it once a week, I wish she was on the schedule more. Yilin's class is fun too. The barre class is a good cardio workout too, good if you don't want something that's not as intense as sculpt. I do power or hot power fusion when I want to sweat, but couldn't find time for 26/2. They're a good way to squeeze in the workout especially if you're not feeling up to something as intense as 26/2. Yin is the underdog of all classes. It's impossible for me to stretch on my own for an hour, these classes have become so crucial to my body's recovery. It pains me not to give this location a perfect star, but these are things that I would like to see improvements in . 1) this is my biggest concern- the weights and yoga blocks do not get sanitized. I know there are wipes in the room, but there has been so much sweat that has seeped through, especially the weights, that has caused them to rust, you cannot clean those at this point. They have to start leaving a cart where can put used equipment in, and start sanitizing them like they do the yoga mats and towels after each class. 2) the rooms do smell. I don't know if it's all the sweat that's seeped into the floor mats or what, but sometimes I will go to a morning class and still smell it, so it doesn't really matter what time of day it is. I wish there was a different type of floor where they can clean thoroughly. 3) they took out the 12 o'clock Yin classes which forces me to do night workouts even though I prefer the AM time slots on my days off. Poopack used to teach the best Yin class (against the wall) at 12 and I am so bummed they took that away. 4) I wish there were later classes on Friday, Saturday, Sundays to accommodate people that work on the weekends. I do other fitness classes outside of hot 8, there's still enough of a variety that keeps me coming back. The staff are all nice and friendly- I love working out here! read more

Such a great studio! Clean, cute, and has the best equipment. Even has an outdoor area. The staff is friendly and so helpful. This was my first time trying Pilates and I did a private session with Altara and she was INCREDIBLE! I had an intense workout and she really taught me what to do. She corrected my form and made sure I was doing everything correctly and pushed me to the limit in a good way! Best instructor I've ever had. Will definitely work with her again. I had a chance to visit the Beverly Hills location. There's a bit of construction nearby so I nearly missed the location. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I tried a Power class and I can tell the instructor was experienced in yoga. She was walking around but wasn't really engaging or cognizant of newcomers. Showers and locker area were really small. Random but I bought a coconut water and they stored my card info without permission. I thought that was a bit weird. read more

I've been coming here for a while and just wanted to jump on here to bring attention to a miracle that happened. I'm so thankful for Bailor, a staff member who works at the front desk. After class, I opened my locker to grab something, and left it unlocked while I took a shower. During my shower, one of the students accidentally took my shirt, keys, and parking ticket and put it in their backpack and left the gym with it. After I got out of the shower, I realized this stuff was missing and went to the front desk to let them know. I felt helpless, because my phones and wallet were locked in my car. Bailor helped me look everywhere for my stuff and when we couldn't find it, she immediately started calling every student from class to ask if they had accidentally taken my things. About 10 calls in, she finally found the person that took them and he came back to return the items. I feel so blessed that Bailor stayed positive and was persistent and cared enough to help me find my stuff. This could have been so much worse, but because of her help, everything was worked out in less than an hour. Thank God for Bailor, she is a real life angel! read more

It's very unfortunate to have to post this - I always leave class feeling accomplished - however, I was robbed here along with my friend and one other known class goer. I left my bag in the cubi, thinking a yoga studio is a place for piece of mind, but after class I was shockingly disturbed to find that I had been robbed. The thief had carefully gone through my wallet and bag to make sure it wasn't quickly apparent of what had been done. Fortunately my Amex and Chase accounts alerted me to the purchases trying to be made at apple store century city of about $1,3500. Not to mention the roughly 400$ cash missing from my bag that was meant to pay for a health bill. To the person who stole from me, fuck you. To the company that didn't notice this happening, really?? Super sexy location here decided to come only because it is geographically close to my work. I decided to take two morning classes before work started and I absolutely love how cool I was welcomed by Ram and another sweet guy, both who absolutely look fabulous and I am glad encouraged me to take both classes back to back. I ended up taking a rigorous barre class and usually power through but needed some breaks and water. After that, I took the Halloween class which was seriously packed and opposite the vibe I go for. It was also challenging and helped me define my sexy back and legs by doing a lot of vinyasa flow so I am glad I did as much as I could. read more

I found this place because they had a great one week deal! I went every single day and enjoyed every level of class. Everything from the eucalyptus cold towels to the service to the room cleanliness and environment. I've had different levels of classes and each instructor was phenomenal. Because I'm moving in and out of the city often I'm debating on getting a membership! But again if I was a permanent LA resident I would be here everyday if I could. read more

Of all the yoga studios I've been to in LA, this location is my all-time favorite. The studio is clean, the staff is helpful, and the classes are amazing. There are so many great instructors, but here are some of my favorite: Soha: Such a good Barre class in the early morning on Monday and Wednesday. She also has an Monday evening Sculpt class that's great. All her classes are pretty popular so I'd recommend either signing up ahead of time online or getting in early to beat the guest list. Clarissa: Love her early morning Sculpt classes on Tuesday and Thursday. She has such good energy that keeps me pumped up for the rest of the day. Dakota: Amazing Power class on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. I really like how he has you focusing on your breath throughout the whole class. It's really helped me center myself. I've been a member of Hot 8 BH for the past 8 years and I've always appreciated the high caliber of teachers until recently. See the below post about John SJ on 12/22. This instructor also did this to me. I didn't officially complain but we did have an altercation in the lobby so employees did see - and did nothing. Which I wasn't surprised by because I already had filed a complaint about another teacher for different reasons (racism related) and I was told the same thing as this student - we need to wait for more complaints. HR at this studio needs to get this shit together. How many complaints are enough? And if you need multiple complaints, make that publicly known instead of gaslighting your paying members like this. Put up a complaint box, put up signs in the bathrooms letting people know they can email. It is not okay to hire people who harass your paying members. By the way, as I result of these situations, I have stopped going to Hot 8 BH as well. To the anonymous person who spoke up, thank you. read more

This place has unfortunately gone down hill over the past few years. Classes are inconsistent in terms of heat/quality of instruction etc. On quite a few occasions the class has become dangerously hot to where half of us have to take a break and the instructor doesn't turn it down or even open the door. Management also is non-responsive and doesn't seem to care about the clients despite the fact that we pay a premium to attend these classes. Security issues are also very alarming? I loved this studio for years but now the front desk staff and the teachers are so hit or miss. Same with the room temperature. If you find an amazing teacher this place can be great but now I'd really love to find a better alternative. Pros are I really love the fusion sequence. A friend introduced me to Hot8 Yoga studios current promotion which was only $40 for unlimited classes at Santa Monica or the Beverly Hills location! Score! Talk about a DEAL!!! I initially signed up at the Beverly Hills location but I found myself going to the Santa Monica location every weekend. Making a day after yoga for shopping or going to the beach. There is a complete different vibe at the Santa Monica location versus Beverly Hills, from the clientele to yoga instructors. The Beverly Hills location is larger than SM without a doubt with one extra yoga room, far larger retail section, and a sit in juice bar which is great for waiting for classes to start. I like the bathroom here better. I also found the front desk staff in Santa Monica to be more upbeat, kind, and helpful. The greetings and goodbyes just didn't feel authentic here. However, the yoga instructors are great, I loved them all. I loved Hot Fusion and the Barre Burn class with weights! This location worked best for me as I live and work in the area so I came here 90% of my trial. During my 30 days unlimited I fell in love with Hot yoga all over again and completely neglected my $215 monthly membership to equinox going 27 days out of the 30 to Hot8 Yoga. They have more than Yoga classes such as a few classes that involved weights for a 100% guaranteed sweat drippin ass kickin!!! Let's talk results!!! During those 27 consecutive days I became extra limber. There's just something amazing that happens when you stretch in a heated room. The detox process, sweating all the toxins out! Talk about glowing skin!!! I saw great results in my body and really leaned out. 22 years of playing soccer my right knee is a bit messed up and becomes achy at times. On day 5 I had no pain and other areas of my body that would occasionally become sore were no longer!!! I also got the most amazing sleep every night that I did Hot8 yoga and trust me this is huge as I have suffered from insomnia terribly this past year. Amen!!! On the 28th day of my membership, I travelled to Hawaii for 7 weeks and within 1 week my achy body areas returned and by week 3 I became restless again at night. My body had gotten so use to this routine that it punished me for stopping abruptly. Apparently my body didn't know I was on vacation! Lol I am considering closing my gym account and committing to hot yoga for my fitness of choice, but for now I'm steering clear of paying $140 a month(one location)and $170(both locations)for Hot8 yoga dues as I can't possibly go consecutively as I had when I did the unlimited month as my schedule has completely changed. So for just $25 dollars I can pick a class at my convenience and not be wasteful. Thank you Hot8 Yoga for everything! You guys rock!!! read more

I'm into my second month of unlimited with mat and towel service and I feel great! No stinky mats in my car and I can take any class and sign up just before I go. The instructors are amazing and all the classes are good to hit different muscle groups. Try there unlimited first week for $30.
