Used to get meals from here allot but stopped for a long time due to high price point, went by yesterday and picked up 4 items and have been completely disappointed so far with the change in taste and flavor of their meals. -Lentil Soup: this used to be amazing and I got it all the time but is just ok now, seemed too salty and lentils and garbanzo beans were undercooked and still too hard and there was VERY little broth in the bowl.....unbelievable for almost $12, the canned Amy's Organic soup I purchase at Publix is just as good, has less sodium and is a MUCH better value. -Bison Bowl: In one word it was blah with no flavor, like eating a bowl of mush -Chicken Tacos: this used to be my favorite Fitlife entree but they have obviously changed it as again on this one the flavor was blah even with all of the salsa and lime used I have one more meal for tomorrow and to be honest I do not even know if I will eat it, sad to find that Fitlife does not have the same great combination of great healthy flavors they used to. Love this place! Foods taste great and they even have options for those that need gluten free foods. The staff is always friendly and offer to help whenever I go in, even though I've been going there awhile and most of them know me by name. Make sure to take advantage of their bulk plan (sorry can't remember the name of it) it'll save you money, also, the recycling containers program! Yes, thru are eco-friendly! The foods are fresh, not over priced as you're getting organic healthy foods and they are FRESH (in case you missed it the first time ). I love their 7am-9pm hours too (except Saturday). I have to say this concept is super cool. The fact that you can do a meal prep service through them or just walk in and get a meal for (breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack) is awesome! Healthy on the go! We ordered the Tampa Bay Bbq beef and Mac and cheese, as well as the Turkey Taco Salad. Tampa Beef and Mac- the beef was phenomenal! It was the best BBQ sauce we ever had! The Mac and cheese was very unique. It was not what I expected, tasted like there was vegetables in the sauce, or something. It wasn't bad, just very surprising as it looked like traditional Mac and cheese. Turkey Taco salad- AMAZING! I don't really like ground turkey, but I love salad so I just decided to go for it and it was AWESOME! Try it! Very spicy and just so tasty. Very fresh. Although this is a 5 star review I have two comments: 1) When will they open a restaurant or cafe?!!!! 2) Free samples in store would be awesome, as a new customer there are just so many options! This was so delicious. It was the Southwest Scramble and it was nice to have a healthy, clean option on the go instead of something I would regret later. It was filling, low cal, and they even work with the WW diet. You can literally warm it up in store. The person who helped me was pleasant. I will definitely be coming in more. So happy to have a Fitlife near our home! This location was recommended to me from my personal trainer for a healthy alternative to eating out. This concept is very cool and I like that you can walk in and choose a dish to eat there (they have microwaves available) or take home. They also offer delivery for people who choose to go more of the meal plan route. I've had several entrees including the Pho, the Tampa Bay BBQ with mac and cheese, and the bison ravioli. The Pho was wonderful while the mac and cheese isn't a good substitute for the real thing, you've been warned. I love their breakfasts and they're super convenient for when I'm in between the gym and work. They have several different sizes available for most of their lunch/dinner options, so get the larger size if you're planning on sharing because portions are small. The only reason I give four stars is due to the fact that the prices are very high. A few nights ago we purchased the Pho, the bison ravioli, and the Greek meatballs for $29. I love the options here but the prices are very high so be advised before you go loading up your cart. The staff here is very helpful and will make suggestions based on your preferences. Every container of food also has very detailed heating instructions and every meal I've purchased has included microwave instructions, perfect! read more

More power to her, I'll die fat and early and eating a burrito the size of a cat while she works out and eats (their actually quite tasty) buffalo turkey melt from the great big cooler case. I have to say, I'm really impressed. This is a tricky review to write. It's not a restaurant, nor a grocery store. It's a health food store with fully cooked & prepared one-dish meals. Just heat and eat. I like the simplicity of it all. I bought four, and ate one right away. It was surprisingly good. Don't get me wrong, they are not five star restaurant delicious, but expectations were exceeded. Keep in mind, they are very healthy versions of selected foods. They maintain a good balance between tasty and healthy. The sizes come in small, medium, and large. I can eat a large amount of food in a small amount of time. Portion control is something I've struggled with my entire life. I love to eat! It's one of my hobbies. For me, the small would be a very large snack. The medium would be a small meal (probably the amount of food I SHOULD eat in one sitting). The large was enough to gorge myself, and feel like I need a nap afterwards (just kidding, but I think it was more than I should eat at one time). Next time, I'll pick the medium sizes and see how that holds me. To date, I've tried 4 of the 60 menu options. I've had the Tampa Bay BBQ Beef and Mack'n, Chicken Pesto Tortellini, Sriracha Cali Chicken Bowl, and Chicken Enchilada Bake. All were good, not exploding with flavor, but I would order them all again. They also have a "green label" monthly menu change. I think thats good to prevent monotony and boredom. This place really focuses on the health aspect of things. They offer everything from one on one coaching, to a meal planning program. All the ingredients are fresh, never frozen. This leads to a short shelf life (something to keep in mind when you're picking your meals), but all seem to be low fat and low carb, while maintaining high percentages of protein vs. calories. Overall, this is a win in my book. The only thing preventing a 5 star rating is price. They are pricey, but I guess that's the trade off for living healthy. Checked this place out today and I'm pleasantly surprised. It's quick and convenient. I'm a single mother working 40+hrs a week. I dont have time or energy to eat healthy on my own, so this is perfect. It's absolutely reasonably priced, I'm not sure what prior reviewers were expecting of a place that does LITERALLY EVERYTHING FOR YOU EXCEPT CHEW... What I saw in there today ranged from about $8 - $12 per meal. That's cheaper than half the burger joints around here. The taste is... more than acceptable. The location is convenient to my office and I buy 5 meals and a snack weekly, and sometimes a breakfast too. I find the prices to be a fantastic value for the quality and variety of the food. I like the taste of healthy, fresh food and they have never disappointed yet! The lunch portions are perfect for me - very filling and delicious. Today I'm eating the surf & turf with beef and shrimp over rice and quinoa with asparagus. I was worried that reheating the meat would make it chewy or dry - but that was NOT the case at all. Just not for me, despite its upside. I'm looking for prepared meals, something I can take home and warm up in the oven. These guys came very close to fitting the bill. The good: I ordered online, without having to fill out too many fields and without having to join any club. When I got to the store 10 minutes later I found it clean and appealing. Two very nice young ladies greeted me, and they had my meal in hand and my order rung up in less than a minute (you can pay online too if you prefer). The bad: I'm not *that* into being fit, so I'm not sure my opinion matters as much here, but the taste/texture just didn't do it for me. I guess I should have known this, but the meal and packaging are meant to be microwaved. I transferred the meal (chicken with potatoes and carrots on baby spinach leaves) to a dish and heated in the oven, I can't eat microwaved chicken. The chicken still didn't do it for me though, and none of it tasted great. I ate the potatoes and some of the carrots and tossed the rest. I wanted to like it! The staff were very nice and the place was orderly... In fairness, what I want probably doesn't exist, I'm sure FitFoods is great fit people who actually want to be fit. read more

Been stopping by here for healthy meal choices randomly for the last few years. Recently decided to have meals to pick up/delivery for the week to get back on track... this staff is stellar! They are ready and willing to answer questions, give you an idea about what meals you may like and quick to make sure you know they are there for you. Fitlife in Brandon. I didn't love it. I am so sad about that but I have to be honest. I've only heard great things about Fit life and I was dying to try it out. (As I look to the right...there's nothing but 5 stars there. HYPE) However...since I'm a RECENT part time vegetarian, I prefer juicing, salads, and raw veggies. However, that does not sustain me after an intense workout. That's where fit life was supposed to come in. (SIDE EYE) Positives: The actual employee was eager to help IMMEDIATELY. He was fit and fine, himself. (GOOD GAWD YES HE WAS) It was so clean and decorated from a minimalist approach. For whatever reason, I liked that. The food is clearly labeled and easily identified in this HUGE COOLER. There was a wide variety of options. I was in front of that cooler reading and contemplating for what seemed like forever. However... Negatives: That food did not look appetizing to me at all. There was meatloaf, meatballs, salmon, pot roast, chicken tenders, chicken stir fry, a few salads down at the bottom. None of it looked good to me. I didn't appear to be fresh and I struggled with the idea of eating it. The portions looked EXTRA small to me. I get it, it's fit life and portion control is paramount. However, starvation is the reason that people can't STICK to their diets. I didn't even get around to pricing because it wasn't listed. (Well, in the refrigerated section where I could find it anyway.) This could be a pro and a con because it encourages interaction with the fit-life associate but still, it could be a surprise at the register. I actually left with nothing. That surprised me endlessly. Disclaimer: I eat raw veggies 80% of the time to lose weight. It actually makes me feel AMAZING!!! So as a result, I prefer RAW VEGGIES. Eating raw, you can eat as MUCH AS YOU WANT AS OFTEN AS YOU WANT. That could be the primary reason why Fit Life Food didn't excite me. I wish they had more meatless options. I was so impressed with all of the meals I picked up! I thought Id try it so I picked up a few lunches and kept them at work to get me through the week. For 3 medium meals and a snack box it was about $30. Same I would spend at the cafeteria at work on total junk. I chose grab and go but there appears to be a plan you can buy that comes with consultation. I may try that this year. I could not be happier with the opening of the Brandon location. Prior to this, I would drive over 30 minutes to shop at fit life foods. I've been pleased with all of the menu choices and love that they revamp and add to the menu regularly. The prices and proportions are perfect! And it is delicious! I am happy to report, I have lost weight and feel better since replacing meals with their food. And before starting their program I was eating less and taking dangerous diet pills. Fitlife foods makes it easier to eat healthy any day of the week! Let's say you were trying to decide between panda express or pizza, being able to throw in a healthy option of great tasting food is amazing! If you are trying to decide if the food is too expensive, just think about the healthy recipes you try and make yourself and they turn out horrible.... FitLife actually does a good job at it. So I've decided to start eating here regularly. The first week I lost 6 pounds! Down 9 now but my goal by the end of the month is 15 lbs. There is a large variety of food, pasta, rice, even Mac N cheese! Tons of meat and protein dishes and for the vegetarian folks they do have meat free dishes. My husband loves the Jamaican pork tenderloin and me so far is the pesto chicken tortellini (but tortellini is always been my favorite) And tied for first place the GRILLED SALMON dish (not miso) was fantastic with grilled peppers and onion. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals and small, medium, and large portions. I have not tried the desserts yet, but I'm trying to finish with my weight loss goals before I get to that. The meals keep you full and happy. When I work my 12 hour shifts I throw a protein shake in between lunch and dinner because I work very long hours then I'm good got a few more hours. I've bought over 40 meals so far, and keep going back so that says something. It just tastes like something I made at home but conveniently and neatly packed in a microwave safe container. I work full time, two kids under age 3, and working on my bachelorette degree online. I'm extremely busy, plus I work out 4 times a week so this works our perfect for me for right now. It's expensive doing it like this BUT I ate out all the time anyways, so better to eat 300-400 cal meal packed with protein than a 1,000 cal & 1,000 gm sodium loaded chili's or applebees meal! Today made a week of eating Fit Life for breakfast and lunch. I'm trying to shed a few pounds & meal prep helps me tremendously. My time is limited so being able to place an order online and pick it up bright and early in the morning (7am) was such a blessing. The ordering process was easy. You can opt to pay in store, and there was never a hassle or complication when I picked up my order. I suggest ordering no more 3 days worth of meals at a time to keep it fresh. I was advised to order on Sunday and Wednesday nights and that's what I did. Now the food, being a foodie I already had my nose turned up to this so called healthy food (I know so judgmental) but dare I say the food was not only healthy but it was delicious...most of it. My favorites this week were the chicken tortellini, caesar chicken & chicken tacos. Yeah I eat a lot of chicken, don't judge! Also the Power breakfast with steak was great, although I wish they didn't put in the tortillas, they get soggy and they're a waste of calories. Not so favs, only one, the sweet potato pancakes. Ugh I forced myself to eat this one bc these meals aren't cheap! The texture just threw me. So save your dollars and pass on this one.
