Don't get me wrong, she'll still get your butt looking good in a pair of tight jeans, but she'll do it by helping you find more complexity and dynamic movement in your nervous system. By teaching you how to walk, sit, stand, run, and breathe differently. By teaching you how to bring your workout into every step down the street. I recently sustained a hairline fracture in my foot falling from a ladder, and I was apprehensive about getting back to training right away. Renee was able to not only correct my walking pattern to allow me to walk pain free weeks sooner than anticipated, but she was also able to help me deduce that my old walking pattern may have led to that part of my foot being predisposed to breaking in the first place. This is not rote exercise, it is an education on your body and how to relate it to your environment in a more healthy, dynamic, and efficient way. Knowledge is power. I have taken a few Pilates classes before and for some reason, I have never really found it to be my group exercise of choice. And here is the reason. I think Pilates focuses way too much on just the core. And while we had a really good instructor, she was clear and gave good instruction, I found myself bored by the end of 30 minutes. There is only so many different ways to do abdominal crunches. I would be willing to come by the actual studio and take a class, but I think I will pass on the Pilates and go for the yoga classes instead. What I will say is this. The next morning, my abs definitely knew it had worked out the previous day, so that was a good feeling. I only wished that the rest of my body hurt so good like my abs...

I explained my goals to her and she asked me about two dozen thorough questions, took notes, and gave recommendations to me. She emailed me everything we talked about so I had a quick reference always handy. I felt at ease with her and like I could pick her brain for whatever info I needed. For my very first visit with a nutritionist, I'm really happy and am looking forward to visiting her again. FYI, in her office, there are also a massage therapist, an acupuncturist, and a psychologist. So it's a very mind, body, and soul type of place.

Not only on the scheduled days of service, but outside of that you are able to reach out for guideance and support if needed. With my specific needs I am supported beyond the scope of " getting a meal plan", they are counselors, guides and an impactful force on my journey to " food sobriety" ( just came up with that, addmittance is key right) and working on silencing the food noises.
