The machines are great, but don't shower lol. The showerheads are held together by hair ties and completely broken. All of them. It was a pretty gross shower too. I found it annoying that I asked the sales person straight out if there were any other fees since the promotion advertised no enrollment fee. He said no, then halfway through signing the paperwork on the computer he mentioned the yearly fee every may .. I thought that was very misleading and not ok. Yesterday I came in on a 3 day promotional pass, the guy at the front helped me and told me about signing up month to month, when I was done with my workout he went to lunch. They offered to have someone else help me but I realized I forgot my wallet and needed a credit card to sign up. They said no worries, we will get a credit card from you tomorrow and will honor the month to month promotion. I came in today and while I was at the desk with Christian the worker at a desk behind him said you were here yesterday! You can't go month to month, you have to pay annually. I said to him they told me they'd honor it. I didn't have my wallet yesterday and he just shook his head and said NO! I grabbed my things and left. I debated whether to post this, as it's not something I typically do. However, this is an ongoing issue I've experienced on multiple occasions. During several visits to the gym, I've had repeated disturbances involving the woman with pink hair who works at the front desk. On numerous occasions, her conversations and laughter have been excessively loud to the point where I can hear her across the gym while wearing noise canceling headphones and working out in the barbell area. For someone in a work environment, she seems more focused on socializing than actually doing her job. I've also noticed that she will sometimes sit in the Vault and talk with her friends while clocked in, leaving no one at the front desk to help members. Multiple people have walked in without scanning in when she's there, and honestly, I've even debated canceling my membership because it feels like I could just walk in regardless, she's not doing her job. These repeated issues detract from the experience members are paying for and expect. read more

One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. So I was out of town a lot and tried to cancel my membership but they said I had to go there in person. I cancelled my credit card and then they called me up to pay up I told them I tried to cancel. So the bitch said I had to pay the overdo balance then, magically that would allow me to finally cancel my membership. I wasn't going to give to these slime balls so they sent me to a collection agency charging me $200 for a $22 bill. A horrible gym with a terrible manager named Teddy. I had called 6months ago to cancel my membership as the online form needed an agreement number that I did not have. Over the phone the staff member asked if I was sure I wanted to cancel or pause and I said cancel. My understanding of it was they had canceled my membership. As months passed and I moticed an annual fee last month I called and asked about the charge. Teddy said there is nothing they could do and it was a misunderstanding. I asked to just waive the annual fee as I have not attended the gym in one 6 months and thought I canceled. He said the monthly and annual fee could not be canceled. He gave no other options. Everyone is nice and definitely like the classes the in instructors are great and helpful with goals and alrernative exercise to avoid injury. Recommend the body sculpt with Brandy or Sara. Kickboxing is also great! One thing I would like to see that some of the heavyweights are left on the floor or machines so if you are a woman that's kind of hard to remove. I love this gym, sometimes it's busy yes, but the gym community is great. The manager here always makes sure the machines are working and if they're not, the machine is only down a couple days. I really enjoy the amenities as well like the massage chairs and the red light therapy. The only thing, I do wish it had a sauna but the massage chairs are just fine! Braeden one of the employees here, who is not a manger is on a power trip and should not be interacting with the members at all. They should have him on cleaning duty if they don't fire him soon. Braeden was super rude and disrespectful to me, then he told on me to his manager so he could try to save face because I told him I was going to leave a bad review. Braeden you have no power here at all, not sure why you act like it and are so angry, you are not even a manager. I love this gym. Love the convenience, the updated machines, the vault, the atmosphere....but only during the day. The night time is a different story. Any time I ask if I could use one of the amenities that I pay monthly for I get a nasty attitude preceded by being completely ignored. It's a few workers at night. There is one worker that shuts everything off 10 minutes before closing and starts clapping her hands, and points to her watch to try and corral the paying gym members out of the facility. I have no idea why this Fitness 19 is rated so low. This gym compared to the Bay Area is amazing. All the equipment feels new, high ceilings, open space, big screen tvs, and amazing amenities. I dont like to write negative review but I have no choice. I only come to this gym for its classes because I like their instructors. What gym doesnt have working speakers for more than 2 weeks and the managment or who ever is responsible wont take any actions . How is this fair to members or instructors to deal with . Each instructor has been bringing their own speakers. first of all it takes the tome of the class to set it up secondly the sound and volume is not the same. Very disappointing. This gym always has issues with its speakers. Maybe its time to finally either get new speakers or bring a technicians to fix the issue once and for all the right way I just need my voice to be heard so the problem can get solved read more

Beware for signing anything with this gym!! I signed up for a membership then the next day I got injured. I went back to the gym I signed up and went to cancel it until i recovered. It was within California 72hours right to cancel contract. The gal at the desk said no problem it canceled. The next thing I get in the mail is a collection letter stating I was reported to the credit agency until I pay $225.52. I never used the gym once. They are liars and crooks. This used to be the cleanest gym I had been to in a LONG time but it's sadly going downhill. Treadmills are dirty and locker rooms have shoes and clothes left behind. There's some remodeling being done but you'll need to pay more to access those areas. It's not the worst gym I've ever been to, but it's not as good as it was 6-12 months ago. read more

I have worked out at a number of fitness 19 locations and Moorpark is by far the best I have seen. In fact, Fitness 19 is not only the best Fitness 19, it's the best mainstream gym in the area. It is one of the nicer, newer and larger gyms in the eastern part of the county at least. This location has ample free weights, machines and cardio as well as a several studios and classes to match. More than other gyms, I see that the staff takes care of the equipment, so when stuff breaks it's fixed fairly quick. The only drawback with this gym is that it can get quite busy Mon-Thurs from 4 to 7 or 8 pm. While I see people of all ages here, the crowd does skew a bit young, especially in the late afternoon to evening. However, in in general the kids are friendly and respectful to the OGs like me. read more

Its alright but I don't like the gyms atmosphere and team no offense but it's pretty dirty

I have been going to this fitness 19 for 3 years. I have never had issues about the showers since I workout before I go to work. For the last month and a half, I have continually reported that the first shower is clogged. In the past it would be fixed within a week. Now it has been over a month pushing six weeks with constant reminders with the reply being that they are working on it. When it is busy and there are only two showers working, this makes it inconvenient to Workout and get to my job in time. I would not recommend joining here. The only saving grace is the front desk worker, Sean, who is always very polite with his answers about the showers. He is always very friendly and wants to make your workout experience the best each day. I will give it another week or so to see if the shower situation gets fixed, as this is a health hazard for a gym. read more

Been a member for almost a year now, and my satisfaction with this location has been deteriorating as time goes on. Since my beginning months, there was more than a handful of times that the gym didn't open on time with more than a dozen cars parked outside waiting, at times over 45 minutes... This location has never been the cleanest, however most recently it has begun to look like a total dump. Floors go weeks without being vacuumed, trash cans are always full, disinfection wipe dispensers are always empty, trash is always found throughout the gym for days, equipment is never reset at end of day. Ultimately, I've had an unsatisfactory experience here, and the fact that there is no customer service 800 phone number or email to address concerns is not ideal as all complaints are addressed to the gym manager, which is upon their own discretion to resolve the situation. Most mornings the gym doesn't open on time Today march 6th 2023 there were 20 people waiting from 4-445 am Opening time is 4am This isn't the first time this has happened. Most commonly happens on weekends When time to open is 7am and people wait outside. No one cares about keeping the gym clean. There is no cleaning crew Bathrooms have no toilet papers. One would expect that the treadmills and ellipticals would be cleaned at least once a week. Floors around machines are disgusting What happened to ppe money to keep things clean??
