Now because of that my amazing wife, stage III cancer survivor is thriving and surviving! As a spouse and caregiver, I got to go here as well! Dawn and Sherrie are 2 of the nicest caring people in the World. Now we have continued to go almost daily, almost religiously. Power pump, body sculp, Zumba, yoga, and many other classes we both enjoy. A multitude of different instructors! All very skilled. High energy! Friendly fellowship amongst us all trying to age gracefully! Give it a try. I used to play basketball, volleyball, etc. now post spinal fusion this place is my pl to feel very similar after completing a class. Also because we're national members we've enjoyed classes in Northampton, Southbridge, Rochester NY, and Cave Creek, AZ. A wonderful place. Thanks to the amazing staff at Scantic valley ymca! The gym floor itself is kept very clean. The place is small and busy, but I have been able to find machines/weights I need. Just like every other gym, machines break. They are fixed - eventually. The changing rooms appear clean. I've never used the showers Really, there is nothing fancy or unusual about this gym. It's fine for a workout. The only downside I see is that after 2pm on a weekday the place turns into an after-school social club where llama-headed schoolboys congregate around machines and cackle like hens! Otherwise, the place is fine.
