Let's…read morejust say I am on the large size, and I don't always feel comfortable dealing with fitness people, but this has not been the case at all with FIT. I am working remotely with their trainer Jeff. With a relatively small investment I have all of the equipment I need to transform my family room into a workout space each morning. I work out through face time with 3 other women, each of whom are in much better shape than I am. Jeff tailors a program for each of us, so that we are doing similar exercises at the same time fitting each of our needs. He has been particularly good at helping me find ways to continue to work out despite some knee issues. He is amazingly responsive. What I'm enjoying most is the balance in the workouts between strength training and cardio. By the end of every workout I really feel a sense of accomplishment and have worked up a good sweat. I feel that great feeling of having worked hard and accomplished something, but I don't feel so exhausted the rest of the day that my day is shot. I feel revved up rather than beaten down. If your looking for a way to workout from your home, I would give FIT a call. I find the cost reasonable. You don't need your own home gym just some weights, an adjustable weight kettle ball and a mat will get you started. I highly recommend.

Let's find a program that fits our schedule and really works. We researched the fitness programs in the Peninsula and South Bay area. Based on a recommendation, we signed up for the Pilates Cardiocamp. The class is weekday mornings in Los Altos. Best thing we ever did. The Pilates Cardiocamp is not just focused on Pilates but works on a whole fitness regimen that also incorporate bootcamp exercise drills to increase clients cardio endurance helping them loose weight, increase their energy, and maintain and healthy heart. Bootcamp classes have swept the nation offering intensive exercise drills to help you tone and lose the inches. Now these same drills are combined with the Pilates method bringing together the most talk about exercise experience since jazzercise. This program provides it ALL core training, cardio and strength- training exercises to help you lose weight, increase muscle tone, endurance and have fun! It is for all levels of fitness. So, we showed up and met Michelle Melendez who is the lead trainer and owner of Pilates Cardiocamp. Wow, it was exhilarating as she pushed us to our limits. Our day included a 20-25 minute Pilates routine working from beginner exercises to more advanced moves. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday we went through a 20-30 minute cardio drill around beautiful paths, up hills and through redwood trees. Tuesday and Thursday alternates with intense strength training exercises. This program offers core training, cardio drills, strength training, daily stretching, push-ups, and more. The pace is very doable. There is fun in working out with these motivated people and great support. We stuck through the class for its duration. It has resulted in getting in much better shape, a gain of new energy and an overall much better feeling. Pilates Cardiocamp combines Pilates with some traditional exercises. If you are serious about getting in shape in a program you can stick with, I highly recommend Pilates Cardiocamp.

I'm a pretty sedentary person and peeling me off the couch after a long day at work is nearly impossible. Fit Theory helps keep me more active than I would be, gets me in and out in 30 minutes, and keeps me on a consistent schedule. Regular gyms are often packed, no one cleans after themselves, and stuffy, but Fit Theory takes care of that my running multiple 1-on-1 sessions simultaneously so you aren't waiting on other people, prioritizes cleanliness, and has multiple air purifiers. It's a more pleasant atmosphere. What I like about Fit Theory is the convenient location on El Camino between the intersection of Mountain View, Los Altos, and Palo Alto. Since its in a central location, you can come in from work and then run errands right after. The property is large and has plenty of parking in the back. Signing up for classes is easy and flexible with an online app. Classes are individually tailored, but capped at 4-5 people per time slot. Everyone is really friendly and supportive. The 4-5 person cap per half hour time slot means that you save time by not having to wait for machines like you would at a gym for equipment that might not have been cleaned. You save a lot of time by getting access to the equipment you want and when you want it.

I have been really enjoying Jud's bootcamp for almost a year now! I can't say enough good things…read moreabout it. Jud's classes are always designed to be intense (I would say often moreso than P90X or Insanity), but he always offers modifications and is happy to help you come up with custom modifications for what you are trying to do (e.g. lower impact vs lower intensity). Jud is always changing it up - I never worry about being bored at his class or repeating a workout. He also has all the toys, including TRX. I really look forward to his dedicated TRX classes (every other Monday) and his strength classes (every Wednesday). Jud himself is super upbeat and finds time to say something encouraging to everyone, despite often having classes of 20 or more folks. I would recommend this class for everybody, from beginners to those well seasoned in bootcamp-style classes.

I am now a regular bootcamper and go as many days as I can during the week. I love the different exercises that we do and there is always something new to try. Jud is a great motivator and knows how to challenge everyone to push above and beyond their capabilities. The classes are very well priced. What I really like is that you are issued a punch pass with the number of classes to attend. Each time you attend a class, you punch the card. Most other bootcamps require a monthly fee for a fixed number of classes. If you miss a class, you don't get any make-ups. The punch card allows you to attend class when you can and not lose any money that you paid. When you join SickFit Bootcamp, you are not only going to just get more fit and healthy. You become a member of a close knit community of fellow SickFitters. SickFitters encourage and push each other. You will look forward to going to bootcamp just so you can high-five the other SickFitters after a hard morning workout. Run....don't walk to join SickFit Bootcamp!

Less than two months with FFL and I was able to do that! Perhaps by the end of 2019 I'll be able to squat at least one full plate on each side :) The gym is open Monday-Thursday and there are classes in the mornings and evenings. Each class is about an hour in length and each day focuses on a different body part (upper body, legs, core, full body). Each week is a completely different workout, which I really appreciate because I would get bored otherwise. The MV location is probably one of the bigger locations (in terms of members and size). James is an awesome trainer and the music during the classes is generally on point ^_^ My only con is that the gym is only opened Mon-Thurs : (
