He is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about fitness equipment, as well as uncannily patient, and will take the time to educate you so that you can make your own decision and be confident that it is the right one. This was a perfect experience. I had done so much shopping around and I was so unhappy and then life led me to this store... and to Rob. Unequivocally, Rob made this happen for me. Rob was very nice, I never felt a since of pressure from him. In fact, I felt like he was doing everything in his power to get me the machine I so desperately wanted. I told him my budget. We both knew it was going to be difficult to stay in that budget but what I ended up with was a professional grade elliptical, far better than what those other types of stores had (Walmart, Dicks, etc.), that ended up costing not much more with the delivery, putting the machine together, and taking my old one away. I know I got the deal of a century. It was the perfect experience, in the perfect store, with the perfect person, Rob. Everything came together magically thanks to Rob. The back story is I had an old elliptical that just broke one day. I lost a lot of weight through this method and I needed to get another one as soon as possible because I have worked out every day on this machine and couldn't imagine being without one. I was afraid I was going to start putting weight back on without it. Every place I went they were cheaply made and/or they didn't feel right, or they were so expensive, I couldn't afford it in my budget. Against my better judgement we got a treadmill for here. The machine was clearly dropped enroute because the entire frame is buckled, plastic covering was snapped and broken. It took forever for a technician to come out and fix it the best they could-but the frame is permanently damaged. Months of owning an unusable treadmill, long hours waiting for 4 different repairmen, no apology or compensation, and we still have a damaged treadmill. NEVER AGAIN. read more

I called Fitness showrooms in Norwalk after they closed on a Sunday. Tony answered the phone and asked If I wanted to come in because he could stick around another 30 minutes. Given my schedule, if I didn't go in at that time I'd have to wait another week to get there. I really appreciated Tony sticking around to 6pm on a Sunday for me. Once I got inside, he was very helpful with the equipment that I was looking for. Since the treadmill I wanted seemed very expensive, he let me use his computer to comparison shop a similar model on line. I was able to purchase my treadmill almost 20% less than a major on line competitor. Since they had the equipment in stock, my new treadmill will be delivered and set up at no additional charge. There is no question that when I want to add equipment to my home gym, I will be returning here. read more

I bought an elliptical about two weeks ago. As must of us buying an exercise machine it's a necessary out not having time to go to the gym. So the day I bought my elliptical I had very little time to choose one. Rob (Roberto) made it easy and quick, within an hour I was out of there, having had try a few of them. Delivery of it was quick. They got to me in 3 days. Installation was on time, good and quick. Of course these machines are expensive and well worse it. I won't be buying from Fitness Showrooms in the future. We bought a very high-end (and expensive) piece of fitness equipment and were very surprised by the experience. When we purchased the equipment, fitness showrooms was very helpful answering all of our questions, making recommendations and returning phone calls immediately. However, once we purchased, everything seemed to change, and the customer service has been some of the worse we have experienced. After an understandable delay in installing the equipment we assumed they would need to order it, we experienced some issues that needed repair. Surprising enough for a machine in this price level, but we figured sometimes this happens. The real surprise was the wait required to have Fitness Showrooms come to check the machine. After waiting for almost two weeks, their technician came and spent a few minutes before telling us everything was fixed. Needless to say it wasn't, a little while later the same issue came up. We called Fitness Showrooms and expected them to want to fix the problem right away. However, the voice mail messages that were returned so quickly before we bought, now were not returned. It was only after we contacted the manufacture directly that someone bothered to get back to us. Since we were having the exact same issue their technician failed to't fix, we thought we would get priority treatment. Instead we got the "next available appointment is 10 days away". When we asked if they would at least bring the parts need to repair, we were basically scolded - "we don't carry inventory". Again, only after contacting the manufacture directly did the manufacture send the most likely failed component. Unfortunately for us, the manufacture guessed wrong. A different component was damaged than the one they sent. The technician at least spent enough time to figure out what was broken. (yes it was the same piece for the first repair that wasn't replaced) So back to square one. The manufacture did send the replacement part expedited, but it is back to not returning phone messages and the "next available appointment is" to get that part installed into the machine. Unfortunately, I have a piece of gym equipment that is the world's most expensive paper weight for almost 2 out of 6 months we have owned it. Likewise, our 1 year warranty doesn't seem so great now given it has been 6 months and my original problem isn't solved. We are trapped now. The manufacture only provides the original "labor" warranty through the dealer you purchase the machine with. So while we would normally just have a different place service the machine - that is not possible. Absolutely terrible customer service. Since I have grown tired of having to make multiple phone calls (some even to the manufacture) just to SCHEDULE an appointment, and having an unreasonable delay before GETTING an appointment, I would never buy another piece of equipment from this dealer.... let alone have them service the machine once the warranty expires. read more

Bought a $9000 treadmill and the person there seemed really nice. Delivery situation was not good... (I could go into details but will not) ...suffice it to say I had to have another company (that was awesome) come and finish setting up the machine for me at my expense. I called the store twice on the day of delivery to ask for help but never got a reply. Sad. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. Bought a bike which was not working upon arrival. Tech comes out quickly, so that was the good. The bad: you cannot speak to a customer service rep unless you are available when they call you. If you try to call them, you get a recording to leave a message and they will call you back the next day when you are hopefully available, if you are not available you get to leave another message and they will call back the next day again. This went round and round for me. New issue arises requiring a replacement bike (after two more service calls), but they bring the wrong one so another appointment is needed. New bike finally delivered, but not working properly. Still, there is no person to call directly to discuss the problems. All of this and the bike is 5 weeks old! read more

Beware of this company. I had a contract with this company to deliver 2 pieces of fitness equipment to my house. They processed payment based on the contract. The next day I got a call from the company demanding an additional $1,050 or they would not deliver the equipment. Repeated conversations with the owner did not resolve the matter.
