I just did a quick 3 month prepaid membership here. I appreciated that they had that option. The place is loaded with a lot of weights and things and really is "no frills" like others have said. I liked that it isn't usually too busy and is always open. My main bit of criticism for it is that no one seems to pick up their weights when they're done with them. Most of the time it looked like a disaster in there. That means the dumbbells you're looking for are over in the warmup area or randomly at a machine or the squat rack doesn't have the weight you're looking for. Cleanliness-wise because a lot of people don't have the (extra $) towel service and don't bring their own, people don't wipe their machines or benches off when they're done with them. I almost bought into another month or two but I'm not paying a $100+ extra "maintenance" fee. I'm not sure why someone who's considering prepaying for a month should pay a year's worth of fees. read more

I really enjoy working out here but it gets really really hot during the summer. It was 68 degrees at night when I worked out, and I saw the thermostat in the gym- they have it at 82 degrees. I asked the guy at the front counter if they could open any doors because of how hot it was, and he said the owner doesn't allow it. It was a LOT cooler outside than inside. I absolutely love this gym its been my gym since I was a junior in high school and it love it! After recently moving back to Lodi from living in Manteca for 3years I was so please to be back at this gym. One MAJOR problem the gym has is that at night around 9-12 when there is limited people there I've noticed on several occasions homeless men coming in and digging through the garbage's for recyclables. This really needs to get taken acre of ASAP. the staff there needs to be more strict I do not want to be working out and have to be worried bout the homeless guys creeping around the gym!!! Please take care of this or I will be forced to move gyms which would be devastating to me! :( read more

Really great place, very clean...huge weight room floor...basketball courts...aerobics room...spinning...lots and lots of cardio/elliptical equipment...tanning beds! There is only one reason I continue to go to this gym: it's open 24 hours. That's it. If you don't need a 24 hour gym, I strongly recommend you try one of Lodi's various other gyms. This place even stopped providing towel service unless you pay for an upgraded membership, citing "theft" and cost. I suppose it doesn't matter, since they never had enough towels during peak hours anyway. The facilities are lacking and they restrict use of the basketball court when there are tiny training classes in there (seriously 3-4 people, tops). Plus, the basketball court is horribly hot and muggy in the summer, but they threaten to revoke your membership if you prop open a door for air. Nevermind that the court becomes wet with sweat and can't dry because there's ZERO ventilation in there. That's a safety hazard. And did I mention there's cockroaches? Check the photos, I posted some. Seriously, don't go to this gym. read more

Best GYM in Lodi hands down. If you're looking for a place to workout and NOT a social club Fitness Systems is the gym to join. I've never once had a problem with any of the staff. Yes they may not be the most social bunch of guys and girls but they have answered every question I've had and help as far as or as much as they could. My kids enjoy the kid area enough but love the girls they have babysitting. Rarely is there a time when I can't get on the machine I want. There is plenty of space and equipment both free weights and machines. If the cardio machine I was looking to use is taken there are more than enough substitutes ranging from bikes to treadmills to stair steppers even rope climbing and lets not forget my personal favorite the Kinetic Ropes. All in all this is a place to get healthy, stay strong, focus on what I want to accomplish while in the gym without distractions and become the Swoldier i know I am. HooRah! read more

This place is bullshit! I joined in March and went one day before they closed for Covid. Then in June I get a call from a collection agency saying I owe them $180 for the past 3 months. Really enjoyed this gym back in 2017. Had to let the membership go due to multiple times of me coming in for a workout and listening to some meat head scream blooody murder while he squats a superset. I don't mind if you yell but if I'm on a treadmill across the room with my headphones on full blast and I can still hear you scream like you lost a limb then maybe that's a bit much? I even asked staff if they could address the issue with this fellow gymer only for them to tell me the person screaming is an employee on their off time working out lol. I'm from Sacramento but stopped by for a workout because I was in the area. What can I say? All fitness system locations are the real deal. Plenty of equipment with a great variety. Several flat benches and big range of dumbbells to work with. The staff seems friendly and the whole vibe and environment itself was great. He was honestly my favorite anytime I wanted someone to join the gym I'd always go to him and he would convince them better than I can . I love coming here. I use a wheelchair, so most gyms are cramped for space, and I stay clear. It is extremely easy to get around, the machines are awesome and the atmosphere is very comfortable. Take a class or get down on the many different weight machines. I trained here before a recent CrossFit competition in Florida and look forward to many years of health and fitness with this gym. Cancelled membership a couple weeks ago. My last month I was charged a maintenance fee for the coming year and I won't even be a member. When I asked about it, I was told a manager would call me back. They never called. 2 days, then 3 days later I called back. I finally spoke with an employee and he said something to the effect that it's in their policy that they don't refund the fee. I asked to speak with a manager. He said he was one. Shocking. I asked him where in the policy it states you don't refund maintenance fees for customers who won't be attending the gym anymore for that year? I told him if it is in the policy it should be changed because it doesn't seem right. Just because it's a policy doesn't make it moral. He got frustrated, assuming because he didn't know his own policy. He got an attitude and hung up on me. Okay fine, suck it up and pay the fee. End of story, right? This morning at 2am I literally received 100 of their standard cancellation emails (the same email sent at two different times) regarding my membership. Coincidence? So harassing and unprofessional. THIS PLACE is pretty great, great machines and big facility. They have a sauna and basketball court ! The negative things about it, it's pretty expensive at times and it now charges a annual fee. Also the other negative thing is that the staff is very slow and not enough of them. Constantly on there phone and talking to the other staff and ignoring clients. Open twice a day, morning and evening and its FREE!!! At In Shape they charge an extra fee per child!! The staff is incredibly friendly. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The customer service is the worst! I have been a member for over 5 years and when I moved out of town I tried canceling my membership. When attempting to cancel they told me I was in a two year contract. I asked them, how I was in a 2 year contract when I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years. Long story short, this has been on going for about a year and they will not refund my money or stop taking my money from my account. This gym is GREAT. It has everything you could want in a gym. FREE child care, a sauna, tanning beds (lay down and stand up), They even have a whole cross fit section, and a basketball court! The staff is always really friendly. Kaitlin (the district manager) is always really helpful and always is quick to respond whenever I have any questions regarding my account. I am obsessed with the mint and chip quest bars, and told Kaitlin I was bummed that they ran out and SHE ORDERED MORE for me! I can't give this place enough good reviews!
