For myself, I pre-paid for a year membership and in the Fall, shortly after joining, they charged me an Extra monthly charge of $88. For my son, I was paying a monthly weekend membership, but after I gave them a 1-month notice they charged me the $50 monthly fee after they "cancelled" his membership. Stopped by this gym while in town. For starters, they force you to download their app even for a day pass. Very unique gym that caters to a certain clientele. I've never been to a gym were so many people have no problem taking selfies and recording their every set. You'll even see trainers film every set for their clients yet zoom in on their butt. If you go to Kodiak's instagram page, this is what you'll see. At some gyms, people will record to check form...not at this place. Just go to their IG page. The equipment is a mixed bag. Some extremely old pieces and some new pieces. Also some very odd pieces that stick out. Like the one set of gold 20lb dumbbells. Or the super thin 25lb plates. There's like two. They have a lot of plate loaded equipment towards the front of the gym, but most of the plates are by the leg equipment. They should fix this. People here seem to really like to takeover several pieces of equipment at once. Reracking weights are non existent. Dumbells, plates, handles for the pulleys are all over the floor. Even trainers don't rerack. Everything I mentioned here you can see on their IG and if you ever tour the gym. It's a solid gym if you can tune out the noise. read more

Big gym with a big parking lot, which is really important. Personally I picked this gym because they have kids club, very convenient to know that's someone is watching your kids while you're getting in best shape of your life. I was able to take (boot camp) class with Kari, it was lots of sweating and burning. Ben (sales rep) was very friendly and explained all my options to find the best plan for my budget. Also, they gave me free body fat check and personal training season which sounded great. If you need personal training you should definitely go to Robert, he is very knowledgeable and will push you to get in the best shape you ever been. Also, while gym has AC it's not freezing in there, and I personally love it. The room with classes have extra AC thought and it's much cooler in there Overall, the staff is great and super friendly. I think the gym has good enough machines for working out (old). The gym is big, and they have many stations to clean the equipment. However the reason why I give 2 stars is because of the CVD-19 regulations about mask . I tty to take a yoga class on Sunday Oct 3 at 10 am. There were around 15 people, which I thought was too much. However, I still accepted until I realized that there were two people without a mask: a kid and her dad. I don't understand why no one from the gym or the instructor asked him to leave. Therefore, I decided to leave and not give any other try. If you are relaxed about CVD infections and don't care to see people not wearing a mask, then it's a good option. Purely average gym with aging equipment, poor ventilation, no windows, and very high prices for what they have to offer. ***** Consumers should be beware of their unscrupulous behaviour. The worst aspect of this club is certainly its customer service. With the notable exception of Zak, the staff, including the manager Dan Bossano, is not friendly, uncooperative, and for the most part, not interested. In short they STEAL MONEY from members when they have an opportunity to do it. DETAILS: I had a one-year contract which expired in November 2015. My membership agreement stated that I had to provide written notice to Fitness Time in order to cancel my membership (even though it was a definite one year term contract.) I hand-delivered my notice of intent to cancel in September prior to moving away from the area. Yesterday I discovered on my January credit card statement that I was billed by Fitness Time for November and again in December. This despite the fact that the contract had expired and I had complied with the written notice requirements so as not to renew it. When I called to enquire, I spoke with Mike. He stated that the only thing he could do was to cancel the membership going forward so that there would be no charge in January. He said he could not credit back the charges for Nov and Dec, claiming that FT had "no record" of my cancelling and also they have a cancellation form that they need to fill out. My contract does not state that the burden is on me to make sure that Fitness Time employees do their job correctly. Do they think I'm making this up? If they even bothered to look, their computer records will tell them that I have not been there since the end of September. It says I have to give notice, not less than 30 days in advance, which I did, and I have a copy of the notice clearly dated September 23rd, 2015, in advance of the Nov 18th contract ending date. I called the next day and Mike took the call. He told me the manager Dan Bossano was "in meetings" or was "on the floor" and would not put him on the phone. He also said he spoke with Dan and they have a "policy" that to cancel they need to use their form. Of course the contract I received only says I have to provide written notice in order not to renew. Despite having complied with the contract, they have STOLEN 2 months' worth of membership fees from me and refuse to provide a refund. DISHONEST as could be. Who runs a business this way??!! I've dealt with clients and customers for close to thirty years and in these circumstances for the reputation of the business you issue the refund without question. You want clients to be satisfied and in this case if you have already paid for an entire year membership you don't go and hold them up for an additional 2 months beyond the one year. Complete b...s... I have filed a complaint with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (they issue the license to Fitness Time and all health clubs in FL) and they will be investigating this matter. ***NOTE: Customers of health clubs have rights and this sort of "we didn't receive any notice" so we'll continue billing you will not be accepted. Customers can file a complaint online with the FL Dept of Agriculture & Consumer Services and also file a dispute with their credit card provider to have the charges credited and charged back to the club. Joe , the trainners manager lie to me so i enroll in a contract, i told him that i was moving and told me that he spoke to the owner and he said that i can still continue the contract and one month before moving i had to let them know so we can break the contract without any implications ...... That was the only reason why i enrolled... Two months after i let them know, they had continued charging me the monthly fee 450$, and made me paid the contract in full, because Joe wasn't there to ask or the owner didn't remember!!!... My opinion is bias. I need a gym that was not LA Fitness but I can't afford a higher price one. I work a FT job and as much as I knew how to workout I wanted some guidance. At first I was like ahhh I'll get a trainer for a few months. Get back into shape and keep going on my own. Well the gym is big, the gym has weights more in place than LA Fitness and I found the best trainer for who I am as a person. His level of learning; developing; correcting and talking skills is all I was looking for. I am disappointed with the state of the gym which could use some more TLC. Their boxing room looks like an asylum refuge with holes; floors that trip you and equipment that looks like it was picked up from the street. I keep going for two reason: one my trainer and two my trainer who is a great boxer! I guess loyalty is towards a person more than a place. Place does need a facelift. I've been in, out and around the fitness/gym industry for nearly my whole life and this place is a roller coaster with mostly low thrills. First of all, the customer service is horrible. Perhaps because I don't have T's & A to flash around but to get a simple "hello or have a nice workout" is like pulling teeth on an angry tiger. The equipment is okay but a bit out dated. I remember when this place use to be CRUNCH FITNESS it was happening and people came from a far to enjoy the great service and fun classes. It made the atmosphere positive and welcoming. To be honest, this starts from the top (management) all the way down the ladder. I can certainly donate a lot of good pointers to improve but I feel that it may land on deaf ears. I don't know how well taken my rating would be or if this will help anyone but certainly for the price that I pay on a monthly basis it's not worth it. Not happy and will certainly be canceling my membership. PS: I don't need to be pampered or treated like Donald Trump (which by the way TRUMP INTERNATIONAL IS RIGHT DOWN THE STREET) but a bit of niceness and good service goes a long way. Pros: -Good machines and they keep them operational -Classes -Boxing room -Walking distance in my case anyway -Management/employees occasionally walk around to clean and un-rack machines because some members are idiots. -Trainers are always present -Members are generally more serious than other more mainstream fitness centers Cons: -They need air refreshers it...sometimes it smells like a high school locker room with a football team in it after practice -Compared to a La Fitness which is just as good and has pools and basketball courts, Fitness Time is expensive. I know there are some wealthy people in the area, but everyone isn't wealthy. -The music they choose is terrible. So headphones are a good idea -There's a weird vibe which is not preferred btwn members. A lot of egos and mean mugging. I've been to other facilities where everyone's friendly and polite. Maybe it's just the area but it's weird and doesn't give you a warm and comfy vibe -Employees and management can be more happy to see you and welcoming for sure. This gym is very depressing, it is so dark (no windows) and no colors (not a happy place), the people that go there are not friendly, the music is awful and don't even bother bringing your own music because they play their music so loud that you can't really listen to yours. The classes are not all that (the yoga teacher is good) and there is a creepy old man that hangs out in his towel in the men's locker room, he sits there for hours with a laptop computer, it is very uncomfortable to use the restroom because of that creepy old man could be using his webcam to record the guys in and out the locker room and he will stare at you. LA Fitness and 24-Hour Fitness are less expensive options and better classes and atmosphere... If money is not an issue then join Equinox, I'm out of Fitness Time! I have only 2 gyms in my area and Fitness Time is one of them. Second one is twice as cheap but doesn't have machines I need. FT is expensive but all classes are free and you get 1 hour for free with a trainer after joining the gym so it's fine if you are going to attend classes. Temperature is comfortable(and I'm a north guy so when Florida people wear sweaters I walk around naked); Machines are fine beside one platform which sounds like it's a bit rusty; Everything is clean and not sweaty; Trainers are eager to help, Mois(hopefully I spelled his name right) helped a lot showing what/where/how; Personal is very friendly Bathrooms have dry sauna, combination locks, hairdryers, etc. And the last but not the least - it's not crowdy so usually you don't have to wait for someone to complete their sets read more

But after engaging with (Bryan C. ) he motivated me to invest in a membership & help me start living a healthier life style . I signed up for a one-month membership at this gym, and I came in three days a week. This gym was decent enough, but I had a few problems. As a novice/intermediate free-weight lifter, I was primarily interested in this gym's free weight equipment: squat racks and benches. Because I was visiting from out of town, I did not qualify for any discounts on my membership (total payment was $150 flat fee for 1 month). I paid in cash. If you live in the area and/or if you sign up for multiple months, you may be able to get a sizable discount. Despite only having two squat racks, I was told that they are hardly ever both occupied (which is true for the most part, unless you come in the middle of the day during peak hours). There were about four flat benches for bench pressing. The free-weight equipment was all in useable shape. The only major problem I ran into was with the weight plates. There were probably more than enough 45lb plates for a strongman to attempt a PR on his deadlift, and plenty of 25lb, 10lb, and 5lb plates too. However, there were no 2.5lb to be found. I confirmed this problem with several staff members on multiple days and none of them seemed the least bit regretful about this egregious lack of proper equipment. One staff member's idea of a solution was to push me toward the machines. I can understand not having 0.5lb, 1lb, 1.25lb plates--those are a rare find even in the most well-equipped gyms. But not having ANY 2.5lb plates is--I'll say it again: EGREGIOUS. If you're trying to make strength progress on your squats and deadlifts, you can probably get away making 10lb jumps. But if you're a veteran trainee approaching a max load on the standing/bench press, it will be very difficult to make even 5lb jumps, let alone 10lb jumps. Luckily, I was told that you're free to bring in your own micro-plates, if you wish. In conclusion, if I was looking to put on a little sweat and do some cardio, or maybe some isolation exercises on the machines, this location seems like a perfectly reasonable place to do it. However, since I came in with concrete strength training goals: to put on 5lb on my squat, press, and deadlift every lifting session: I was left feeling disappointed. I have 4 gym memberships and became a member here when it was Crunch. Once I moved back to Texas and cancelled my membership, the new management insisted on charging my credit card. I sent an e-mail confirming my cancellation and they still continued to charge me. I have not been to this gym, nor lived in Florida in over 9 months and they are still charging my credit card. The new management refused to cancel my membership and sent my threatening e-mails that they will turn my case over to collections if I do not pay them for a gym membership I am not using. I've been spending time in this neighborhood for years and decided to see if Fitness Time had kettle bells which are not available in too many gyms. Called and they said they had them so I decided to check it out with a Groupon I found and had very low expectations due to some reviews I read. Was greeted by Bea, at the desk, who could not have been nicer or more helpful and found the equipment I needed. It was not brand new, but was clean, functional and the rest of the gym was well equipped. Complimentary towels, Bathrooms were very clean and even had q-tips and mouthwash on the counter. I had to Post, after seeing a series of other unhappy customers and what I think might be "shill: good posts.. over at Fitness time, I had to tell you about my experience. I am a member of Olympia gym, and I admit some of the machines at Olympia are older and the place can use an update, but the price (by far) is fair. My yearly membership was up in July and I found a flyer for Fitness time in the parking lot. I figured I would go over and see if new management had made this place better. Years ago, I had an opportunity to go to what was then called Miami Beach Fitness, when I first moved here from Tampa, but I was "creeped out" in my one week there by the owner constantly wanting to talk about my love life. guess my weight and work out with me. My first observation of FITNESS TIme was a jammed parking lot, and as I walked through the front door of Fitness Time, it seems there is a sad looking, stray, dirty dog in front in an old baby carriage, that I think is the Fitness time mascott. I was told by another patron, the dog is always there. Upon entering, the place looked nice but it was very hot, like little or no A/C was on. I was greeted by a lady with a funny accent who (I think) was pregnant, but didn't look like she knew anything about fitness or training. All she kept saying, if this is your first time, I can let you workout, but I have to charge you for any classes and if you want to come back another time. I did not tell her that I had been there about 10 years ago. She also told me not to park in the front that I might get towed!!. That sure was a huge buzzkill as I had run out to now move my car to the back of the gym, where it looked like a non-secure area. Inside, I noticed a lot of people milling around, lot of groups hanging out, not really training just talking, giggling and flirting with each other. I hate this as I am serious once, I get to the gym. This happens on occasion at Olympia, but not like I saw the groups here at what should be called, Fitness time, social club. I asked one of the trainer's who was walking by about the time's for spinning classes, I am not sure if it was a boy or a girl trainer (For real) and this person said he/she was leaving and didn't know, to go to the front, but if I wanted a trainer they could train me inside or outside of the gym. I am not sure what that meant. The setup of equipment is ok, again a little too close togethe,r where you cant walk through, and I went to go on a stair master and only one was working, I waited for the stairmaster while doing some bicycle and within a few minutes, some guy with a beard and really moldy smelling wife beater tee shirt starting cycling next me and was asking me if I am new to the gym, not trying to be arrogant, I said yes. He was persistent and continued asked me foolish questions, like about, Argentinean soccer. I put my headphones on an ignored him for another 10 minutes. He finally left after I got up on to the stair master. The good part is some of the equipment looks newer, and is in good shape, but it seems none of the patrons put their weight back, which is a turn off and for girls,and really heavy for me to take off on each side. I tried a few things on the different machines as there are a lot's of ones I had never seen, but they are packed together too tightly, its a frustrating layout. I decided after my workout that I would be better suited for the money back at Olympia gym. The pregnant lady was now watching a "novella" on a small TV, and I just said goodnight to the person at the desk, and I don't think they spoke much English and they just nodded goodbye. I just said Adios,to myself, as this is not my kind of atmosphere and they wont be seeing me again, anyhow.. read more
