Ed has supported me the entire way, offered advice and had insights into how to train effectively and safely. He is an amazing resource that wants to help YOU with your fitness goals. The gym itself is always spotlessly clean and all equipment is maintained and in working order. There is enough equipment that you're never waiting or trying to "work in" with another person. There also isn't so much equipment that the space feels cramped and that you're on top of each other. This place truly has everything that you need and nothing you don't. If you're interested in improving your physical and mental fitness I would highly recommend you reach out to Ed and get started. It was a tough pill to swallow as a former college athlete and I was not ready to hang them up just yet! My initial reservations were due to the fact that I was afraid I would not be able to do the things I used to be able to do. Mike's progression through his individualized training have me back in a healthy place and allow me to compete again on the lacrosse field. He started me off at a pace that was right for me and progressed the intensity and exercises to build my confidence and overall health back to where it should be. A lot of early morning members do not clean anything after they use it which is somewhat disgusting. There is a member who constantly hacks on the machine next to you without covering their mouth with the free provided (nasty) face cloth size towels. He literally hacks out onto the machine (and you). Other members saw my disgust and told me he's been doing this for a long time and if you confront him he will get nasty. This morning the place was a disaster. No clean towels, dirty towels all over the floor and equipment, and wmpty water bottles scattered. I actually wish it were nicer because it is so convenient and I like the staff I've met and people as well. 3 stars was for convenience, the rest is pretty deplorable

She is great motivating and working with a wide age range of clients including 20 to 60+ year olds. She understands when clients need to stretch or to modify the routine for knee, hip, ankle, or other injuries or ailments. When I have known I was going to be traveling on a bus for eight hours, she helped me come up with seated routines that wouldn't look to silly in front of the students I was chaperoning. The biggest issue is that the equipment is badly outdated. Walking into the gym feels like stepping into the 1980s. The machines are old, the overall facility feels tired, and it is long overdue for a serious investment and refresh. The locker rooms are in a similar state, very dated and in clear need of renovation. To be fair, the club is clean. Extremely clean. In fact, the staff often seem more concerned with cleaning equipment than allowing members to use it. The constant wiping down and fussing over machines can feel excessive and, at times, genuinely strange. The atmosphere is also disappointing. Peter appears to have a group of favorite members and regularly has loud, bro-style conversations with them across the gym. These conversations often include inappropriate language that feels unprofessional in a fitness club setting. Another staff member, a younger guy, is consistently rude and seems to think the gym's sound system exists solely for his benefit. When he's working, members are subjected to some truly awful reggae playlists. Peter's music choices aren't much better, with a steady diet of jazz and 70s music that feels completely disconnected from what most people would expect in a modern gym. The overall impression is that the gym is run around the preferences of the staff rather than the members. Whether it's the music, the conversations, or the way the floor is managed, there seems to be very little thought given to creating an environment that is motivating and enjoyable for the people actually paying to work out there. The one saving grace is the woman who works at the front desk. She is consistently friendly, welcoming, professional, and genuinely customer-focused. She treats members with respect and clearly understands what good customer service looks like. Ironically, she also seems to have the best taste in music. Unfortunately, it's uncomfortable to watch how some of the other staff, particularly Peter, treat her. She deserves far better than the dismissive attitude she often appears to receive. For a club that charges premium membership fees, the facilities, atmosphere, and management approach simply don't measure up.

I started at BPT because I found a Groupon and needed to jump start my post- baby body. Never did I think I would continue this journey but it's been a great fit for me. Mary is great and really cares about her clients and their fitness needs/goals. I have worked with almost all the trainers at BPT at one time or another and would recommend their services to anyone.
