this place was "the" convenience store of the whole block. Not only did they have souvenirs but they also had necessities that you may need. All for a reasonable price

    Tons of colorful shirts!

After a long day of shopping in Old Town, we stopped by here to load up on some snacks for the drive back home. Not only did the store have some great drinks, candy, and snacks, but they also had some unique gift items for friends and family back home. The store had all the usual touristy items like shirts, hoodies, mugs, magnets, and postcards with San Diego printed across the front. They also had some fun stuffed animals and games. We really enjoyed looking at the cute country signs with funny sayings and the old-fashioned Coca Cola items as well. This store also had all the drinks and snacks we needed for our trip home. If we needed any toiletries, we could stock up here. They also had a huge selection to all kinds of candy, including some vintage candy that I hadn't seen in many years. The customer service seemed really good here. When the tourists ahead of us in line asked tons of questions, the cashier patiently answered each and every one of them. Even though the line was fairly long, she remained friendly and helpful with all of the customers. With tons of fun gift items and great selection of toiletries and snacks, this is a nice stop while shopping in Old Town.

Toys and regression I can't help it, so I just admit to it- more often than not, I have to stop at the toy section in most stores and look around. I never outgrew toys, they just stopped making good toys. Visiting Old Town San Diego, I stopped in a little souvenir shop filled with tons of random chotchkies. For the most part, it wasn't anything that special. Generic Old Town and San Diego sweatshirts, key chains, licence plates with your name (which they never have Joey) and snacks. I fell in love with the store when I went to the back and saw an entire wall full of toys. And not just any toys, but old school type toys that I played with growing up. They had a wall full of guns! Cowboy guns, army guns, cap guns, rubber band guns etc. They also had army men and parachute guys. They had a bunch of other toys, but that's what grabbed my attention. You just don't see toy guns nowadays. Pretty much every PC group in the country has made it a crime and a sin to even think about playing with guns anymore, but dammit, I loved playing with them when I was younger! This store ended up being an amazing throwback to some great times with friends and playing in backyards. And just when I thought I was being somewhat silly for getting nostalgic for toy guns, I saw some dad rush his two boys over the section and act like a kid himself. He showed the kids all the toys he use to play with a let them pick out whatever they wanted. Taught them how to set up all the army men in the giant bucket and how to distinguish the good guns from the cheap guns. It was pretty neat to see. The dad and his kids sold me and I purchased some old cowboy cap gun I'm sure I had at one point on my life. The two guys at the register were super nice and even remembered to say thank you, which I thought was outlawed in California, since no one says it anymore. A nice experience in a pretty neat shop- I'll definitely stop in again next time I'm down there.

    Cute novelty candies (bacon flavor!)

This is possibly one of the nicest 7-Eleven stores I have been to in my life. It was clean, it was organized, and it was stocked. Something that I am not accustomed to. Even though they are well stocked, it doesn't mean the selection is vast. It is somewhat limited to certain brands and of the items they do have you don't get to choose a better one because of that. I feel like that might because of the size of the store as it was not a traditional store set up. That's probably the biggest drawback of this location. The size is limited because it is located on street level of a newer building. Street level is a bit of a stretch as the entrance is on the side street and down a small hill. Customer service was great. The employees working were helpful and swift with the transaction. Able to watch the store and answer customer question while checking my items out.

Many areas in the Little Italy area are that of restaurants and the gourmet foods that you can pick up and take home. The Store location has some of the best products that you can get such as the Slurpee's and the Monster Drinks with many combos you see at the many. The best location for when you have a great 711 store that you can go to at night and get the milk you need, or you may have to get meat products. One of the greatest things that the 711 stores have the best morning doughnuts and the many great coffees when you have those that bring in their own coffee mugs and get the favorite morning coffees. With the great location that is just a short walk from the Trolley Station with the number 83 bus connection which is located close by the store. In closing as a Yelp Elite Reviewer this is one of the best and the closest location when you take a trip up into the Little Italy area with the short walk to India Street with the Historical area there is much to see and have cold drinks when you stop in at the 711 store up from the trolley.

I managed to find a cart. Loaded up with ice went to self check out, which is very simple. They had a handheld device to scan my bag of ice times 15. I try to avoid this store as much as possible. Which means I have to go out my way on public transportation i mean, seriously, this is not the backwoods of alabama and one of those other seriously racist states. This is supposed to be beautiful San Diego California it doesn't make sense how people can be so evil and nasty towards a person They've never encountered before, and I'm pretty sure when they were hired, they didn't inform H. R that they were going to treat certain customers in a nasty and vile way And it's awful how management condones this behavior Because the employees are very comfortable in their actions It is not okay to make someone feel uncomfortable or unaccepted. In an establishment that you don't own it's also ashame that the machine where I put in my phone number and pin Number tells me thank you for being a value customer across the screen i've never heard that from an employee since my shopping experience at the store. my whole career was in customer service and it would bothered me if I knew that I didn't put my all into making a customer feel satisfied. They should permanently close off the door on Kettner and create a booze only counter with the liquor behind it, not accessible to the customer unless they are buying it at the booze counter.

It appeared that the wide variety of selection was set for libations rather than other items in the store. For the footprint of the store it seems that there just wasn't enough room in house to accommodate that. Like I said, because the libations took up a solid two aisles. That meant that the rest of the aisles were left to have items fight for counter space. Unfortunately on both of my visits here I did not find what I needed and had to venture elsewhere to get those items. Customer service wasn't too bad here, they were attentive to the needs of those in the store, but at some points they appeared to be bothered to help you at first. It is what it is. I view this more as a community convenience store than a Rite Aid. I suppose if you live in the neighborhood it is better than trekking to wherever to get a quick item.

I usually come here for a quick, fast , and affordable car wash, and it is convienently located near me. The gas area is tight and limited, but eventually, you can squeeze in even on a busy day. They have quite a few gas pumps and some store parking up front for the personnel, not needing gas. Inside the store is spacious and clean and they sell many drink varietys and snacks. They offer alcohol beverages and tobacco products as well. As for the car wash, it is built in the same space as the gas station. You can easily pay for your car wash while pumping gas, or you can just pull up to the car wash area and pay with a debit/credit card. There are 4 options for the car wash ranging from basic to deluxe, and this time, I went with the standard basic option. The car wash uses high-pressure water soap and also has scrubbers to get your car looking beautiful. The dryer has vents blowing from the left side and right side with a 60-second timer. At this time, you are allowed to change from park to drive and slowly go through drying off all excess water. Overall, it is a great gas station to go to and pick up some snacks and gas for the road and, of course, a car wash to get your fresh ride looking squeaky clean. There is a vacuum and air for your tires in the station for an additional cost. The customer service is always good, and the service is fast as to where you're in and out to continue your day.
