I'm from California and am traveling in Kansas. I went into this TJ Maxx assuming it was like all…read morethe others I've ever shopped at. It was not. The store was messy and disorganized. I was looking for hairspray, but it didn't appear that any attempt had been made to organize the hair products at all. Same with gift bags. Same with toys. When I went to check to check out there was a single associate running a register. There was a customer at the register and three more in front of me. I spent 17 minutes in line. When I asked one of the two additional associates working in the check out area if it was possible to open another register, she snapped "no". At that point the customer behind me and I left the store. This is hands down one of my worst shopping experiences ever. Don't go. You don't need the stress.

My family and I were doing some last-minute shopping for an upcoming trip and for my child's birthday, which is this week. During checkout, I politely handed you two items we had decided not to purchase. You responded by saying, "You're wrong for that one." At first, I thought you were joking or simply trying to be humorous, but when you repeated the comment, it became clear that you were frustrated. I was unaware that the return items had already been put away by staff. Once I realized that, I offered to return the items to their proper location after taking my children to my husband. You replied, "No. We just want everyone out." My family and I make a conscious effort not to leave unwanted merchandise throughout the store. We believed returning the items to the cashier would ensure they were placed back where they belonged. We had been shopping for approximately two hours before closing and completed our purchase before the store closed. I work in education, where I teach my students--as well as my own children--the importance of treating others with kindness and respect. Even though I did not feel that same courtesy during our interaction, I chose to respond with kindness. I understand that working in retail, especially during a busy holiday weekend, can be stressful. However, a difficult day does not diminish the importance of treating customers with respect. I hope this serves as a gentle reminder that kindness and professionalism go both ways. I wish you a safe holiday and all the best.

There are multiple restaurants including Yard House, Five Guys, Panera and Chipotle. I loved how the pathways are filled with grass and natural plants. We spent couple hours here on New Year's day. It wasn't busy, so we had great shopping experience. Staff members in all the stores provided a friendly service. We bought a bunch of stuff from different stores. All the stores offered got discount, between 25% - 75%. I wish the signs were little better so we could know what shops are in what direction. We drove to both ends of parking lot to explore both sides since it was really cold to walk outside. But overall it seemed to be the go to shopping spot in and around KC.

I was really impressed by the sheer variety of food and shopping options. I specifically made the trip to visit the Made in KC store, and it was a total win--they have a fantastic selection of unique gifts if you're looking for something local. Getting here from downtown was a breeze via public transportation, which made the trip much more relaxing than worrying about parking. Whether you're here for the shopping or just the views, it's a KC highlight!

We went to the Plaza on multiple days for shopping and eating. Some of the places we visited were Shack Shake, Bruu cafe, Lululemon, Rally House, Made in KC marketplace. Prices were mid to high depending on the location. The plaza buildings looked so pretty with their lightings at night. There was also a Fifa countdown sculpture since KC is a host city. The plaza area felt pretty safe and well maintained. Lots of security personnel were always available in each of the blocks.
