Five Below is mostly well known for their $5 items whether you need a last-minute gift like a cute Squishmallow plushie or a spa headband for your daily skincare routine. If you have somewhere to go and in need of a cheap lipstick replacement, then Five Below got your back with brands like L.A Girl + Wet & Wild. Gotta warn you though, it's a dangerous place (for your wallet of course). Great variety/selection of things in the store for both adults and kids. Most stuff are very cheap and affordable compared to other retailer stores like Target and Walgreens. I am a frequent shopper at Five Below. It never fails and I repeat, I've never left empty-handed from 5 Below since I'm kinda always guilty of buying it afterwards. That's why my eyes tend to light up whenever I see new Squishmallow plushies on the shelves. High quality material + squishy soft all around. Five Below is probably the cheapest place to get your Squishmallow plushies. Even though they've raised the price from $5 to $6 starting 2026 due to inflation + high demand + popularity. If you ever do need an emergency phone case, you can get one for $7 here. Can we talk about the $5 or less snacks from chips + candy + chocolate to cookies? I always buy all of the crunchy snacks and my favorite Chupa Chups lollipops from the Mix & Match Candy Section just for the awesome value of 10 pieces for $1.50 (15¢ per candy). Now, tell me where else can you get twenty pieces like that for under $4?!? Additionally, I love browsing through the aisles of stationary section where they keep the cutest Squishmallow & Sanrio stickers plus Pokemon themed notebooks/planners. Who can resist stickers?? I feel like a kid again at a candy store whenever I stop by any Five Below locations in Queens + Manhattan + Brooklyn. Everything is vibrant and there's so much to see and decide what to buy. Closest Five Below location for me. Very easy to get to in the Union Square vicinity. Went in to look for some last minute gifts. There is a wide selection for good prices. Not everything is $5, some things are more or less. Variety of items include toys, candy, skincare, clothing, etc. There was a bit of staff around welcoming customers and restocking. I bought some snacks and a mini knit kit. Spent less then $10. There are so many cute items in here that it is easy to keep adding to your cart. Hoarders heaven station! Never been to this place until few days ago when I decided to check out the $5 deals that they have. Cannot believe what I was missing by not knowing about this place earlier. I'm not sure if it's me for knowing about this place very late and don't know what I was missing out. So many household and personal necessity you can buy at $5 or below! Shopaholics should be aware of this place though because it can ruin their wallets if they step inside the store. What caught my eye was the $5 exercise equipment. Bought a pair of 8lb weights, about cruncher, and inner thigh workout tool for me to lose my stubborn belly fat. They have pink and black equipment and I got myself the pink equipment. Saw a lot of amazing deals but didn't bother going further into the store for fear of losing more money. This store both has self check out and in person cashier register if you need more assistance. There is also a security guard checking you out after you pay. He is required to check your receipt to see if you purchased everything correctly. The bad thing about this store in this location is the long flight of stairs that you have to climb up. And when you exit, you are forced to take the elevator because there are no stairs for you to go down and there's only 1 elevator! So if there's less people waiting then your fortunate and if not then you have to squeeze yourself in the elevator or wait for the next one. 5 Below is a fun store to shop. I could look around in here for an hour and not get bored. My daughter bought this popular stuffed animal. I just hang out and restrain myself. At my age I don't want anymore stuff! In fact I wish she would stop buying stuff. I'm overwhelmed when I go to her apartment. They have fun loving employees. I've got no problem with visiting here. I definitely recommend for children's gifts. If you have children it's a shoppers paradise. read more

This location is actually really nice. The whole store was really clean. I didn't spit any items thrown on the floor and everything looked to be in its place. To get to this store you either have to walk to the second floor or take the elevator. The store seems to be at a pretty discreet location as it wasn't so busy on a Saturday afternoon. The staff was seen around the store cleaning up and organizing anything that seemed out of place. The security guard was standing near the entrances just making sure everything and everyone was behaving alright and not stealing lol. After going to this 5 Below for years, I will never return. I buy my candies there 3 for $1. Now they ring up at 2 for $1. The manager on duty stammered, red faced, called numerous higher ups (supposedly) and still would not honor the price of 3 for $1 which is plastered EVERYWHERE. We live in a sad age where real, quality department stores or toy stores have gone under (i.e., Toys R Us). Instead we get dollar discount stores like Five Below which try to replicate the "department store" or "toy store" experience by mimicking the same atmosphere (clean, brightly lit) but peddling masses of cheap, disposable junk from China. Five Below cleverly conceals its "dollar store" quality by selling items featuring recognizable pop culture icons (Hello Kitty, Pusheen, Star Wars, Barbie) in the toy section. It's like going to a designer outlet that makes low priced stuff specifically for that store - you know you're not getting the "real" quality item but a cheaper, smaller version of it. The only thing I like about it is the cheap candy section - 10 candies for 1 dollar. Everything else is of poor quality hidden by pretty packaging. Stay away from the Tech section - all the earbuds and headphones aren't made to last more than a few days to a week, if that. I find myself coming here more than I expected because the store is cleverly designed to be as colorful as a candy store - just be aware that most of it is cheap junk. Kids will love it, however, as parents are more likely to say "yes" to a five dollar toy than a twenty dollar one. read more

The store is located to the left when you enter in the "mall". It has both stairs and elevator access. We went to the store to pick up some snacks, activities, and random fun stuff for our weekend trip. The store was nicely organized and clean. There was nothing that was really out of place which was interesting since, I only saw one staff member in the entire store. And they were by the checkout lines. The prices are affordable although some snacks you could get cheaper at other places. However, they do have some interesting, unique, and hard to find ones here. read more

This location is smaller than the one in my neighborhood, but was jam packed with products. Their Five Beyond section was really the best part about the place. It was surprisingly clean and orderly compared to other locations I've been to. If you're looking for stationary items/school supplies just skip this location. They only had an end cap devoted to those items, which was a bit disappointing. The beauty section was massive and well-stocked. Their book section was the tidiest I've ever seen and their arts & crafts section was abundant. What I didn't appreciate was that there was absolutely NO STAFF at the checkout area, so good luck if the self-checkout machines are problematic. People could have just walked right out the back exit with arms full of items and no one would have stopped them! Overall it's worth a visit if you're already in the area. read more

But when I went to ask the employee about the code he said it's not for public use . And I was very confused because the sign said family restroom but it wasn't for public customers like myself! a nice spacious clean five below on 14th st section of union square that has plenty of useful stuff and if you like sweets then you can load up on cheaply priced candies. nice layout of merchandise from a to z via the five below collection and its well stocked i might say and i just did. i really didnt plan on getting much as i have limited time to browse but with very visit to any five below , i cant leave empty handed and i didnt as i spent about 40 bucks and got 8 semi useful items including a wireless phone charger and mini lava light with time and temperature readings. its not the best quality but for 5 bucks it really dont matter much to me. one cashier working during my visit or you can do self service kiosk if you dont want to wait on slow moving line. its five below folks and you are bound to find something you can use or give to a family member or friend. read more
