I was eager to visit the Crystal Cave Rock & Gem Shop to see what they had. There aren't too many places like this in my area and I think they have one of the best collections in Broward County. According to their website they are a family owned business that has been in business since 1972. They specialize "in mineral specimen, cut gemstones, cutting rough (for cabochon, and faceting), metaphysical tools, lapidary equipment, books, jewelry, and gifts." They also have fossils and petrified wood. Prices range from as little as $1 to many thousands of dollars. There was so much to look at, huge pieces of amethyst, colorful geodes, and loose mixed gems. They had my favorite peacock copper ore. I also loved their jewelry, they had some nice gem necklaces for only $10. Perfect for the next time I need a gift. There was a lot of staff around eager to help if you had a question. They are open Tuesday through Friday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm and we are closed Sunday and Monday. Come check them out.

I had read somewhere that they're called a "fandom store" because they carry lots of items such as Disney, Anime, Marvel, SpongeBob and Star Wars merch. Most things are reasonably priced and comparable to other stores that sell the same kind of merch but their sales are the best time to shop because they do have great discounts. Every time I have been here the employees have always been super nice and willing to help you however they can. Also, in spite of the many items they offer, the place never looks messy or disorganized.

They acknowledge you when you enter & it feels as if they appreciate your business. I've also ordered online & had items shipped to this location for free. This option is usually quick & they have an online pick-up section by the register to make things easy. Prices can be hit or miss but they always seem to be running some sort of deal. Picture shopping on Etsy... but IRL!…read more There were tons of booths and fun things to see. Even if you don't come out with a purchase, you can still appreciate a lot of great art and finds. Came here on my birthday and of course I treated myself to a few purchases and gifted my hubby something too. We also found housewarming gifts we bought for our friends we were going to visit in their new home later that evening. We came with our family and they enjoyed perusing around and even took advantage of some deals. A few booths had owners around and some were kind enough to offer a couple freebies. But most booths are stand-alone, which I liked because sometimes I want to shop freely with no pressure from the owners lol. Some shops also had free samples that were self served (little tongs were provided and it's the honor system -- if you're untrusting that someone just stuck their hand in without using the tongs, then feel free to NOT serve yourself lol). There are several stores like this one with consignment from local business but this is the first of its kind this LARGE (it took over what used to be Stein Mart). So yes, this is a great spot to shop for ANY occasion (got something for my birthday but I guarantee you that you can get a lot of your Christmas shopping done here too!). The booth owners usually aren't there, but you pay for any purchases at the front of the store, which makes browsing easy and relaxed. On my last visit, I purchased the Neroli Radiance Mist from JD Beauty. All of her products are natural and handmade, and she offers a variety of lotions and scrubs for both face and body. If I'd had more time, I definitely would have shopped more. Painted Tree Boutiques are a fun place to discover unique, one-of-a-kind products.

Giant plush heart pillows, Godiva chocolates or the all too common Hallmark love card - the choices are endless here. Lots of love based items with a gimmicky twist. When a woman has everything, what do you get her? The name Hallmark Gold Crown was affixed to the front of the store but nothing saying Amy's so asked the employee. She just said that the business name is still Amy's for now which was an odd answer. Is Amy's going out of business, changing ownership or just the name? Only recently I noticed that the Hallmark brand offers the same concept in each store of greeting cards for the holidays and figurines ect, but some Hallmarks have full jewelry stores inside or other gifting type businesses.
