My little one chose a game, which was paid for at checkout so he could open and enjoy it while I continued shopping. Simple enough, right? Wrong. The game was broken. Straight out of the package. Not dropped, not mishandled -- broken on purchase. Here's where it gets truly unhinged. We returned to the register with the game and its broken pieces only to be informed that Daiso has a strict NO returns, NO exchanges, NO refunds policy -- and that this policy applies even to items that are defective or broken out of the box. I pointed out that when a customer makes a purchase, there is a reasonable and legally implied expectation that the product is whole and in working condition. This is not an opinion -- it's basic consumer law. While the checker agreed before the manager came to assist, the manager disagreed. Loudly. The manager eventually relented and agreed to issued a refund -- but not before the manager pulled what can only be described as a petty power move: she/he demanded I verbally agree to DAISO's terms and state aloud that I would NEVER request a return or refund again and asked whether I UNDERSTOOD! This happened in front of other customers in line at check out and directly behind us as a condition of receiving money back for THEIR defective product. I'm sorry -- what?? I put back every other item I had planned to purchase, walked out, and I'm now writing this review instead of spending more money there. Consumers, take note and pass this on: Daiso's policy essentially means you are buying everything AS-IS with zero recourse, including items that don't work the moment you open them. That is not a bargain -- that is a gamble. And when you lose, don't expect dignity on the way out. "Overpriced cheap junk" is being polite. Pair that with management that demeans customers at the price of a refund, and you have a store that deserves to lose every dollar it would have made from loyal shoppers. Shop here at your own risk. You've been warned.

I love a bargain! I always like to shop at Grocery Outlet Bargain Center. There used to be a…read moresmall one in Morro Bay and I would shop for all the small parties I gave in my classroom each year! This large store in San Luis is located in the Laguna Lake shopping center just off the Los Osos Valley Road, so it's a little trafficy to get in but there's plenty of free parking and even shaded spaces available. There's even a special veterans parking space right near the front door. We made a visit the other day so I could get spices to cook some turkey Tikka Masala with the leftover Thanksgiving turkey. This is the only place I've found recently that has individual spices. They still sell them by the individual spice like oregano or thyme or majoram, Most places now have one spice called Italian seasoning or pumpkin spice or barbecue spice and you don't know what the combination is. Since I actually cook things from scratch, I want individual spices and this store has them at bargains prices. Today I got chili, turmeric, oregano, and more cinnamon since it's the cinnamon season! I also enjoy the display of little seasonal gifts that they have available. I got a couple of cute soft socks for my secret Santa pals and scouted out a lot of little stocking stuffers for my grandkids.. When I was a student )appreciated the small sizes of gourmet cheeses and could offer a very nice cheese plate for a lower price than I would've had to pay at other stores. They also have all kinds of crackers,, snacks, and fresh produce, right when you walk in. Paper plates and party supplies are also plentiful, so it is a good place to visit to prepare for those holiday parties. I also got a large size of fresh crumbled feta cheese as well as a plain low-fat yogurt, which has a wonderful homemade tangy flavor. This place is perfect if you do your cooking from scratch because it has all the basics at affordable prices!

I want to first review the app because it is a component of the service that I received in the store. The Bath and Bodyworks app is easy to use and it allowed me to place an order for store pick up I had access to the full catalog of inventory that was on the store Making it easier to choose items for pick up. Parking was easy. There there was a spot on the cross street right next to the store because it was early in the day around 11:00 AM. They checked in on the system they found my order and speedily worked towards assembling it, which was easy because I pick items that I knew were available at the store. I would recommend for anyone using the app to choose their location accurately so that they can access information for a particular store. Since I would in San Luis Obispo, because of my birthday, I decided to order my birthday gift from the store finally, the app gave me a discount on the item that I purchased well I was doing the selection. I enjoyed visiting Bath and Bodyworks in San Luis Obispo and spending an hour browsing through the merchandise, even though my purchase was completed and paid for through the app. I would recommend the app and choosing the closest store to you for your Christmas shopping .

Been a fan of the Calico (grownups) downtown location for a while, so when I saw signage that they were opening a kids centric shop, I went to scope it out on day one. Lots of amazing clothes - clean, well laid out, and reasonably priced. Got a few amazing pieces for my first grader. They also had an impressive selection of furniture (cribs, strollers, bassinets) and toys (books, scooters, etc) too. Will be back for sure!
