Extremely rude woman at the front desk. I called ahead of time and asked if I could pay cash because my insurance won't cover plastic surgery, even though it is for an very painful mole. They said yes, so I scheduled an appointment, so relieved I finally wasn't going to have to live with this nonstop pain anymore. When I got there they had me fill out all the paperwork and a friendly younger staffer even acknowledged that I would be paying by card. Then suddenly the woman at the front desk refused to accept the bank card and told me I need to get a referral (same woman who said it was fine over the phone, btw). When I tried to explain my situation she said flatly "figure it out". Completely wasted two hours of my time, gas money, and stress all for nothing. Don't even know if the doctor is any good cuz I couldn't get that far. read more

I have been addicted to cutting myself since when I was in middle school up until I was a sophomore in college. I've always been aware that if I wore short sleeves, people would see my scars and stare. Once I knew it was time for me to recover, I went to Doctor Llaurado. He injected my scars with something to make them less noticeable, which I had to do a few times (I forgot the name of what the injection consisted of). To my surprise, they ended up healing so well that I was able to get a tattoo over my scars, which I never thought would happen! Thanks to Doctor Llaurado, something that was once a symbol of pain and suffering is now a symbol of growth and recovery. I can't thank him more! I highly recommend Dr. Llaurado. He is an amazing plastic surgeon. I have neurofibromas on my forehead. The Dr had no hesitation on removing what he could. I am one week and a day post op. I got my stitches removed today and wow. He did an AMAZING job. I have a lot of healing to do but I am happy with the results so far. Him and his office staff are worth the 45 min drive. read more

I really do not like to write bad reviews, but I feel that I should in this case. I have seen doctor Llaurado on other occasions for fillers. This time I went to him to have facial laser resurfacing around my mouth. On the day of my procedure I was given a twilight gas and told by the assistant to breathe normally. Just before my treatment Dr. Llaurado came in, squeezed my nose, told me to breathe deeply and began the procedure. Needless to say the anesthesia had no affect. It was very painful. At the end, I was escorted to the front desk and given a piece of paper with care instructions. It was as if the pain I went through was inconsequential. The pain instructions were incomplete and I had to call to get complete care instructions. My follow-up appointment was not scheduled until three weeks out, but I had a problem, called and was given an appointment within a week. Everything I read indicated that an appointment one week out is the norm -- not with this office. During my follow-up, it was clear that the $2000 I paid was ill-spent. The orange peel look on my chin was better, but the lines around my mouth were basically unchanged. All Dr. Llaurado could say was the orange peel skin looks better and that he was sorry that I was unhappy about the wrinkles. He then went on to suggest that I could return for fillers! I feel that the staff and the doctor were cavalier about the twilight anesthesia, the pain I went through, care instructions, follow-up schedules and the paucity of positive results. I agree with one of the other reviewers: Stay away from this office. read more

Dr. Raymund J. Llaurado is one of the most unethical doctors I have ever met. I have a medical condition that requires a very particular ENT specialist who has the knowledge and extensive medical experience of treating such condition. Unfortunately, my Primary care physician referred me to see Dr. Llaurado who does not possess these specific medical skills nor the experience needed to treat such condition. Instead, Dr. LLaurado referred me to see a head and neck specialist at UCLA medical center who could potentially be a candidate for treating my medical condition. He refused to submit and provide my medical record to the succeeding physician he referred me to see at UCLA. By doing so, he has breached his professional conduct which he is legally obligated to adhere and follow when a request is made to release medical records to be shared with other medical professionals. He deliberately undermined the importance of providing such records for his mere interest to entertain his quest for financial gain by denying and refusing to deliver these records which could potentially have a detrimental impact on my ongoing treatment and overall health condition. This is the most shameful and unprecedented event I have ever witnessed from a doctor like Dr. Llaurado who does not have the decency nor the characteristics of a reputable physician to value his patients and their wellbeing. He deliberately denies and refuses to provide such medical records to support his outrageous pursuit for luring patients to consider having unrelated and unnecessary cosmetic surgeries that are the main platform of his practice as a plastic surgeon to profit and capitalize on unfair financial gain. read more

I've been going to Dr. Llaurado for cosmetic injections for a couple of years now, and I'm sanctified with his care and the service his office staff provide. Dr. Llaurado seems to care very much for the satisfaction of his patients, at least that's my experience. When he sees you, he takes time to listen with empathy what you want to have done, and then he provides his expert opinion. I don't have any complains yet, well maybe my only one is that there's no coffee or snack bar at this office ;) read more

I very been very happy with Dr. Llaurado's care, he is great for cosmetic injections and also had the Perfect Peel (highly recommend). Being a RN for 20 years, I appreciate his excellent bedside manner, he fully explains options and what will best address your areas of concerns. While I have never had a bad outcome from visits to area Medi-Spas, a plastic surgeon truly is best for anything to with your face, I will only use for Dr. Llaurado in the future. read more

I would not recommend Dr Llaurado to anyone. Unfortunately, I've trusted him my face and he completely ruined it. He is not a good plastic surgeon, period. I wish I had known about it before I had lied under his knife. Besides, he doesn't take his patients seriously. My advice to you is to stay away from him. Find a better doctor, more qualified. This review is long overdue. I have been seeing Dr Llaurado for 4 years for fillers and botox. He is a fantastic doctor- he takes time to answer your questions and you never feel rushed like so many other doctors make you feel. I love the results of his work! Very natural I know someone who had upper eyelid surgery performed by Dr Llaurado. She was happy with the results and I know because I saw her before and after the surgery. Again, natural looking results but I could notice the change. One more comment.....his staff is so friendly and accommodating. Mary, the "chief front desk" person has been with Dr L for some time. She runs an efficient operation so you don't have to wait long to see the doctor. She too is very nice and friendly. read more

Dr. Llaurado is an excellent Doc for injections and I've been getting them for 20 years, he's the best! Having been pleased with how well he read my face to get the injections just right I asked what he thought surgically for my face and neck.
