This was a very nice store. Very clean and organized and friendly associates. The store has a very nice selection of random items, and the Christmas displays are already. Found some fun things I totally didn't need. Weirdly, I found fun things that my daughter can use like her strawberry shortcake ramen bowl. She's very much into certain types of dishes, and this was perfect, especially for the price. Absolutely would recommend this location. read more

This five below location is in Tempe marketplace. It was not nearly as well stocked as the one near my home, but I don't know whether that's due to the fact that it's just after Christmas or that it's in a very busy location compared to the other. They were pretty picked over, I didn't seem to have the same variety of things, but I did manage to find some cat toothpaste for my fur babies and a cute purse charm. Five below is just a fun store to go to to find everything from games to books and they have a huge variety of really cool t-shirts that are only $5.55. you do need to be careful, though, because some things are actually cheaper someplace else. read more

So a few months ago we saw the sign for Five Below and were a bit baffled at what this place would actually be. Perhaps it would be an ice bar? Or maybe it was destined to be a winter clothing store? Turns out this is a $5 and under store! It's like the Americanized, $5 version of Daiso here. They have all sorts of knick knacks, snacks, kid's stuff, makeup, T-shirts, summer items (Flip flops, boogie boards, etc), various chargers, and the list goes on. Need a retro hotel keychain? Or some cute fuzzy stuffed animals? How about a USB car charger. Perhaps you just want an ironic T shirt and a sign that says "Nugs not Drugs." Done, and all for $5 or less! read more

This store used to be great, but now employees are so pushy at checkout that I don't even want to go. I can scan my own items at self-checkout, thanks. If they're that pressed about people POTENTIALLY stealing, just scrap the self checkouts entirely. I'm tired of being "helped" with 3 items. We both know you think I'm going to steal something. Things have changed since they first opened this Five Below. When you first walk in you'll notice the sign that says $1 to $5 to $10. I'm not sure why they're called Five Below when they now have items costing $10. Nonetheless, I still went in to try and get a new phone case. They didn't have a vast selection of cases for the iPhone XS but if you have an older version or a 11 you should be good. I browsed through the cases to try and find something that I could use but many of the cases were similar to one another. I finally found a case that I thought I would want but when I took it out the boxes I could tell the quality was so cheap it would be pointless to pay the case price of $5.55. You'll notice there are a lot of items prices have changed to $5.55. I think this place is good for purchasing candies, treats, chips, etc. If you're looking for quality low priced items you may not find them here. read more

Confession: I have a dollar store obsession. So when I saw Five Below, I was seriously scared for my wallet. Ha! Everything in the store is $5 and under. I walked in thinking that I would walk out with so many things that I didn't need, but I walked out empty handed. I felt that a lot of the items were poorly made and many of them, I could get for $1 at the dollar store. This makes me sound so cheap - but if i'm going to buy cheap items, why pay $5 when I can pay $1? They have so many different items from entertaining/party supplies, pool toys, water bottles, home decor, CANDY, clothing, accessories, electronics, gift wrap, toys - you name it, they probably have some *inexpensive and visibly so* variation of it. I normally go to the dollar store for gift wrap and cards and in my opinion, the selection is way better there for less money. I like that you can come into this store and find neat gifts like journals and starter books. Drawing books. Sticker books. And all sorts of art supplies. I've come into this store regularly for gifts. In fact the other day I found a Pik Mi Pop game for my little niece. They are cute and colorful. Five below had hit the valley and I am beyond excited! It's similar to a dollar store but everything is 5 dollars or under. They have basic home goods and even an entire tshirt wall where every single shirt is 5 dollars. Located in the back south west corner by Michaels and World Market, Five below fills a vacancy that Tempe marketplace has had for a while. Lots of free parking nearby and a great place to go if your looking for some cheap phone chargers, toys and even home decor. Go check this place out for yourself to see why everyone raves about it. It's fun and you never know what treasure you will find. If you have OCD you will probably be ok here, the place is tidy, colorful and has a neat layout Find things like Snacks and Candy, Colorful Electronics, Hammocks, T-Shirts and other fun odds and ends. This will be a great spot to get stocking stuffers or a birthday present or a 10 year old that you dont know. Skip the art supplies at all costs! Even for toddlers--they won't gain an interest in art with this junk! "Watercolor" tube set was scarcely pigmented goo and "oil pastels" are cheap waxy crayons from China. If you want to scare someone away from art, this is the ticket! read more

If you're looking for an upgrade from the $0.99 store, then this may be your spot. They have items common in the dollar store and step it up with a wide range of stuff from toys, office supplies, clothes, T-shirts, etc... I didn't find anything of interest but if I were having a last-minute party/Picnic, I would come here to get some good "1 time items"... Basketball, football, water guns, etc.. I'm always price conscious and saw quite a few items priced higher than some mainstream stores like Target or Walmart. Good option if you're on a budget. read more

I was searching for Squishmallows for my niece and called this location inquiring about availability. The associate on the phone was spectacular! So I'm all for five below and I love how cheap everything is. Now I'm a very clumsy person and I drop my phone a lot. I was this certain Five Below in Tempe Market Place and I went in to buy LED Lights for my room and I saw the Phone Cases. Now, I saw the tempered glass cases. To me it means "Black Rimmed Box Phone Case" so I purchased it. Now it says IPhone 11 (which I have) and I was excited and it was perfect. It wasn't until I got home when I noticed it was really small. I spent a good amount on money for it and it doesn't fit. I'm a bit irritated about it. My friends and I came here for the grand opening last weekend. All of the employees were super friendly and helpful, and I found some great deals! I like how all of the registers are self-check out! I think there is also one for the employees to use if necessary, but there was a couple employees nearby to assist anyone during the check out if needed. One employee, Israel, really stood out! Fun little store! Lots of fun to browse. We joked that it was an overpriced dollar store. We bought everything from makeup to googles to shoes, and even some candy. Employees were friendly and helpful. Store was clean. You ring up your own stuff which was a little confusing at first, but we figured it out.
