Went to 5 bridges for lunch with a friend of mine. We ordered, got our drinks. Everything was fine. Friend got his food. I never got mine. Once he was done eating we asked for the bill. I asked to not be charged for my meal since I never got it. Waitress' reaction was "you never got your meal? Sorry about that. I'll delete it from the bill". That's it. I paid and left. I ate at Five Bridges Neighborhood Bar And Grill for lunch today. I must say I really enjoyed it. I had a shared a starter of a blooming onion with my brother, and had a pulled pork sandwich as a main. I did ask for the fries to be extra crispy which they weren't as crispy as I would like, however I truly enjoyed the meal. I do consider myself a foodie and therefore I will critique the meal. The fries could have been more crispy and the sandwich could have a bit more sauce as it was a tiny bit dry. The Sandwich was $18, half of the bloomin onion was $7.25(which by the way I loved it was already pulled apart and not in onion form). I did have a couple refreshments as you see by the bill which came to a total of $70.75 before taxes and tip. My boyfriend and I wanted to like this place so much but we just couldn't. The waiter was as super nice, the atmosphere was really cozy but the food was horrible. The food was SO bland. We ordered a lot lol we got spinach and artichoke dip which was SO bland. The bruschetta was nothing special and had barely any flavour as well. And then we got our main dishes, my bf got the 8oz steak with fries and the steak was over cooked and the fries were bland and they added a pile of crispy onions to the plate to make up for how shitty the steak looked. I got the #1 ordered dish (waiter told me this) which was a the stuffed haddock. It was just a dish FULL of breadcrumbs. And it was so damn dry! We sent it back.. they need a new chef it was so disappointing! We also got a loaded baked potato and a salad but we didn't touch either of those because we were sending the food back. read more

After our first extremely disappointing visit to Five Bridges we swore we would never return. However we received gift cards so we came back because it was free. So this our second visit was much better than the first. My husband and I got hot food this time, attention from our waitress who checked back often enough, and the food came out just before I was going to ask how much longer. So This experience was good. read more

Nice place with a good atmosphere. My wife and I went for a late lunch/early supper. There was no one else in the resturant, however, it was still about 10 minutes until someone brought us menus and took our drink order. I had the burger w/ bacon, lettuce, onion, tomato and peanut butter, which was great. My wife had fish and chips, which was ok. We both ordered a draft beer, her a Keiths IPA and me a Lunenburg stout. I think a little more training is required, as neither beer had a foam head, and tasted slighly flat. Overall, it was a nice place, with good food, at a reasonable price. read more

My husband and I decided to treat ourselves this Friday night and went to 5 Bridges in Riverview. It definitely deserves a 5-star review. The atmosphere was happy and high energy, the service was awesome, the music was GREAT, the food was delicious, and we shared the brownie dessert and I swear it was the best dessert we have ever eaten! Visited some friends in Riverview and they recommended this place. It was incredibly packed, and we did wait a good 30 minutes for a plate of nachos. And the nachos weren't on the table for 5 minutes and our mains arrived. A tad frustrating. Nachos were pretty simple but not horrible. I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with side poutine and it was really good. I'd definitely come back to try other options if we're ever in the area again. But I'll be prepared to wait next time. After hearing so much about this place, I decided to give it a shot. The service was friendly but lacked in being promptness. From the time we ordered to getting our order, we waited about 30 minutes. When we did get our food, we got no forks (easy fix to ask), my ice tea got randomly refilled with water before being asked, our ribs were barely look warm, and you could tell the burger patty was thawed out. Overall the only thing that was good was the price (I guess you get what you pay for). Probably not a place I'd got back to or recommend. read more

Great location for a Riverview restaurant! The bridges salad is one of my favourite salads, always my go-to option! Wonderful place to grab a bite and a drink with good prices!! There is also a pool table and shuffleboard which can make for an entertaining night! read more

I live across the street from Bridges and am there often. I have observed many of the staff on a daily basis and have discovered a few things. All in all the staff is friendly and attentive with the following observations that concern me. 1. Observed staff scooping ice with the glass instead of the provided scoop. Glass chips metal not so much. 2. Noticed many staff coughing over the ice. Enough said there cover your mouths. Other then that food is generally A1 and service is good. PS don't order a frozen drink they over estimate and you loose part of your shots. read more

Bridges is our go to fav. Staff are always amazing, food is consistently yummy, and the atmosphere is fun! This place holds a special place in our hearts because it's so connected to our community. I Booked a reservations for 30 people for a sunday night,,december 4th for a 75th birthday party. i booked this event the end of october,since it is christmas season.I asked this restaurant for the back room because it was a large crowd of people.no problem..they said it shouldnt be busy,but if they get a larger group,they would have to "bump" us to dining room. I wanted the room,so they told me a $100. fee would be charged because they had to bring in extra staff.Again,this was no problem,i would be more than happy to pay this fee for a VERY special family event. On Friday December 2nd, 2 days before, five bridges called to confirm my reservations BUT because they had a larger group, and they could make more money(this is my guess) they put us in the dining room.so with no time to book another restaurant,we had to go there,as i didnt want to upset the plans that we made a month ago. we got there, not enough room of course, the last few people in our group had to literally sit in front of the bathroom doors.they also told us we would have to try and "squish" as there wasnt enough room for another table that they didnt want to add but had to. i was so disappointed in this restaurant that i frequented often,that it will be my last time there.I understand business is business,and there is more money to be made, but if they cared enough for the people in their community,this should never have happened. Held a surprise bday party in the back room recently. The staff was amazing from the start! They were awesomely accommodating with the setup, questions we had and provided us with stellar service. We had a main server taking care of us for the party and she was great! The odd time other staff would help out but overall, for dealing with 30ppl on her own, we were greatly impressed. The food was great and once again, the service was more than great! If you are having a function with a lot of people that requires a perfect private room, I highly recommend Five bridges! read more

This is my favourite restaurant in my hometown. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming but spacious and modern without trying too hard to be trendy. I go often with my colleagues after work and with friends. Recently, I took may parents, who were visiting from out of town, here as well as my inlaws. Service was prompt and friendly. Not only did our waitress have a great sense of humour, but she was also good at her job. The house was packed on a Saturday night but our drinks and food arrived quickly. Even the manager came to check in on us a couple of times. Food was great, as usual. I ordered the pork tenderloin off of the special fall menu and it was tender, moist, and flavourful. The peanut butter burger and grilled chicken club are also big hits in my family with a side of waffle fries. Just a hint, the loaded waffle fries are great for sharing or as a meal on their own. I will be back and I will continue to recommend to those looking for a great place to eat in a great town. read more

First time visitor. We were very happy with the restaurant. Food portions were great, the service was a bit slow, but not to the point of turning us off. The prices were very reasonable, in fact, it's refreshing to be able to buy a meal for $10.99. A great place, we will be back! read more
