But, the fellow that just called me said it was "strange" I owned my apartment/condo and that the company has never done work for me. You also advertise "no additional charge for emergency services" but he said pricing would start at $300 for after hours. He didn't ask me to confirm my address. As I was rapidly losing interest in the conversation, another company called. The compressor went out in Sep of 2015, he came out, replaced it, and the same issue happened again no more than a couple weeks later. Mike was stunned. He said he's never had so many problems with a Rheem unit, which he highly recommends and stands by. He believed the unit must be a lemon so he went back to the distributor and got them to replace the entire outdoor unit for me under warranty. The new unit was even a SEER rating higher than the previous one! I've been nothing but blown away by Mike's customer service and dedication. I will, without a doubt, continue to use him.

Since Monday September 15 (Monday) we had no AC and our houses temperature reached a ridiculous temperature of 89. I called Patrick Taylor from Taylor AC and I told him about my issues. I told him I was just looking for estimates and if he does them for free which he replied YES. He said he could be out there and look at what I had. I received his estimate that night and told him that I would like his assistance in getting me a new AC. On Wednesday the equipment was dropped of at his company and he said he will be here today to install it (Thursday). I was super pleased because I thought it was going to be another week but it was the next day. His team got here and went right to work. They were incredible and fast and efficient on getting us comfortable again. After a couple of hours we noticed our temperature dropping from 89 to about 80 and could feel the difference. What I liked most about the company that if they didn't like or how it looked they went back and fixed it. They were very picky on how they were making my AC look. I received a call from Angie letting me know that they were sending a crew out and the guys arrived exactly at 9am. They not only installed the front porch light, but tested her side and back flood lights as well. They kindly bypassed my mother-in-laws motion sensor on the side of the house (see picture), which saved me from purchasing another light, and even replaced the light bulbs as well. These guys were extremely professional and very accommodating. I plan to call them for an estimate concerning my laundry room since they do lighting, heating, cooling and hot water heaters. The service tech said I had a defective switch causing my home generator to cycle up and down. This was in October 2022. As background information, I purchased my Kohler from a different dealer because I could not find a local dealer in Pensacola. Despite repeated service visits, they never fixed the problem. Blackwell serviceman said they had to order the part. When the part came in late November, the Tech installed and spent time explaining the operation and service. 5 Stars. Now the second review. I complained that the $400 switch had been defective since day one and should be replaced under warranty. I spoke to the Tech, Office and even filed an email request to the Office. I was presented with a $400 bill which I paid. I was not a happy camper when I contacted Kohler the beginning of December. To my surprise, the nice lady volunteered to reimburse me! Temporally forgotten, in February I realized I had not seen a refund. Contacted Kohler again and was told that was credited to Blackwell last year and they should have refunded my money. When I confronted their Manager about their failure to contact Kohler or issue my refund, the reply was, "I was not here last year." Then he blamed Kohler for incorrect paperwork for no refund. This is not some huge company. I counted three people in the Office. I think there is room for improvement in their staff. So after hours on the phone, many emails and four months of aggravation doing the job Blackwell's Office should have done, I got my refund March 12, 2023.

He pointed out some calcifications on the coils of the outside unit caused by acid from the leaves that were accumulating inside the unit. He recommended a coating on the coils which we had him perform and then a leaf filter to cover the unit to prevent future accumulation of leaves. They also charged a $99 service call fee and did not offer any temporary solution to get my AC running. I had another company evaluate the problem, and not only was their estimate $300 less, they immediately performed a bypass to restore cooling and confirmed nothing else was wrong. They also stated that We Care should have offered the same option. Based on this experience, I do not recommend We Care.
